Unsere historische Berghütte wurde umgebaut, um es zum perfekten Urlaub zu machen. Gemütlich und rustikal, aber mit allem Komfort von zu Hause. Kuscheln Sie oben durch den Holzofen, säubern Sie auf dem großen Deck, oder gehen Sie auf den Meilen der Waldwege heraus rechts aus Ihrer Hintertür. Für die Pferdefreunde bieten wir Unterkünfte für zwei Pferde mit schattenspendenden Überzügen. Ob zu Fuß, mit dem Pferd, mit dem Quad oder mit dem Mountainbike - Sie werden wahrscheinlich auf die Elche, Hirsche oder Wildpferdeherden stoßen, die unsere Gegend besuchen. Gehen Sie im nahe gelegenen Fools Hollow Lake Kajak fahren, wandern oder angeln. Nehmen Sie an den Dingen teil, die unsere kleine Gemeinde so besonders machen, wie Chili Cook Offs, Oldtimershows, Bauernmärkte, Antiquitätenläden, Reitställe, Rodeos, Maisfestivals und vieles mehr! Entfliehen Sie der Stadt und genießen Sie die kühle Brise, die durch die Pinien in den wunderschönen White Mountains fließt.

We ask that you wash dishes, put trash in bin by the gate and leave our cabin neat and tidy. Remove dog droppings and all manure and hay from stalls.

Owners live on the property, with horses. Please leave horses unapproached/undisturbed. Dogs are not permitted near the barn or corral areas..

Pet fees: $65(2 dog limit) per stay, extra charge over 1 week.. We ask that dogs are kept on a leash at all times. $15/day/horse(2 horse limit).

Peaceful stay in the woods

This was an amazing trip. My husband and I had for our 35th anniversary. The cabin is so cute, clean and very peaceful. We really enjoyed sitting out on the huge deck at night and star gaze. The stars were so bright and there were so many to look at and we even seen some shooting stars just amazing. Krista is a wonderful host, she has anything you could think of you may have forgotten to bring and a little more. The wine and a personal touch she hung a Happy Anniversary banner up for us she is so kind and thoughtful. We definitely will stay here again. Thank you for everything Krista!

Great Experience

We had a great experience at this cabin. The owners were very thoughtful and left snacks and a bottle of wine that we enjoyed that same evening, thank you Rick and Krista. The property is huge and beautiful and the environment just so quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the recliner and we took a nap multiple times there because it was so comfortable. Loved this cabin and would definitely love to go back. The only very minor couple of things that we noticed was, that the toilet in the area where the water sits seemed stained and dirty and I don't know if it's just the water in the area but we cleaned it with the toilet brush. Also, we loved the fact that pets are allowed in this cabin because we were able to take our little baby Chihuahua Stanley, but when we arrived there was pet hair underneath the sofa and that was not cleaned up. None of these these items negatively impacted our stay but I believe they are worth mentioning so that the owner is aware. Thank you again Rick and Krista for allowing us to stay in your cabin!

Beautiful & Peaceful

Cabin is very cozy. Beautiful property and Love all the ponderosa pine trees and saw lots of deer. Has a trail head at back of property for a beautiful long hike. Met Richard, owner who was very personable and told us a bit about the property and how he just saw a herd of Elk which unfortunately we missed. Would love to rent again in the near future.

This is such a lovely, cozy place to stay, very clean and with lots of personal touches. We saw a beautiful buck and his girlfriend outside off the large porch. Wow! Our dog loved it, as well. Thank you, Krista!

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

Super easy to book; Krista and Rick were so quick to communicate and help with questions. The cabin is cozy, comfy, well stocked, and immaculately clean. (Bottle of wine waiting and treats for the pup!) Hiking trails out the back door and choice of deck or screened in porch to relax and enjoy the mountain air. Loved every minute. Thank you! :)

Cabin in the Pines

The cabin is wonderful. It is very comfortable and cozy with lots of extras, including a nice bottle of wine upon arrival. Very nice setting to enjoy from the lovely deck and lots of hiking right from the cabin. Very private and quiet.

Pine trees and coolness from the desert. Oh my!

It was a great place to come and celebrate my birthday! Nice to go to a quiet and peaceful environment. It was all about being outdoors. Retuned back to this peaceful and beautiful property for my birthday. Enjoyed kayaking at Fools Hill is lake only 4 miles away. Are at a delicious steak house nearby and as always, clean, professional, A+ hosts that remember the little things. Thank you for the perfect birthday getaway!

Perfect! Already looking to book in a couple of months!

Beautiful peaceful location. 4 day getaway with the hubby and our dog. Very clean and well kept home, had everything we needed. Walked on the trails, enjoyed dinner on the deck, kayaked at Fools Hollow lake just 4 miles away. Even included a little gift bag with puppy cookies for our dog. It's the little things that make a big impact.......5 star all the way!

Christmas Escape

I LOVED THIS PLACE...i just wish it had a stove haha i wasnt prepared for no stove BUT the grill worked just fine and we roasted our turkey on it and boom we made a great christmas meal. Nice and peaceful and quiet and the dogs loved running the area. Will stay there again. HIGHLY RECOMMEMEDED.

Perfect for two people. No oven but we didn't need it. Great deck, horseshoes, fire pit, and hiking.

Heaven on Earth

The place was very clean. It was well appointed with a western design. The weather cooperated with cool nights and sunny days. It is close to Safeway and resturants. The owners were very pleasant and helpful when needed. It is handy for handicapped people.

Happy Place

A wonderful property tucked in the White Mountains. Peaceful and quiet. Cabin was beautiful and well stocked. Just right for a couple. We brought our dog who enjoyed exploring and meeting the horses. Thank-you Richard and Krista for being such great hosts. We are already planning to return in the fall. If you enjoy exploring endless trails, listening to the wind in the pines and soaking in the natural beauty of the forest then look no further. This is truly a happy place.

Worth every cent!

Amazing property, the cabin was well kept, cozy and perfect. The property is amazing, tall pines, quiet and very peaceful. The trail to the national forest is well marked, and leads you to another layer of exploring and adventure. In the forest walk we saw family of wild horses. An elk herd passed through the road and up the property line and was an added bonus to our stay. The cabin is perfect! It is close to Fools Hollow Lake, where we fished and rented kayaks. Close enough to town to get supplies, but plenty far enough to get away from the crowds. Rick is great, very helpful, and the added touches of home were a pleasant surprise. If we ever go back near Show Low for a stay, this will be where we try to book first for as long as it exists. Well done!

Sleeping was a challenge

Property is very nice. Cabin was well stocked. A welcome bottle of sparkling wine was included which was greatly appreciated. Nice big shower. Only negative was an uncomfortable bed, mattress and pillows are too soft. Unusual hot weather (97 degrees). So the only AC, a portable AC in the bedroom, and two fans were not adequate to make it comfortable. We left a day early.

Sweet, quiet, peaceful property

We really enjoyed the little cabin and the all the details that the owners had done to make it comfortable and cute. It was easy to find and so nice to have the quiet. The dogs loved it too. We appreciated the welcome offerings, and I particularly loved all the horse decorations, like the cabinet knobs, placemats, etc… Unfortunately we were there in an extreme heat spell, and the air conditioner could not keep up so we decided to leave early. It was an extreme heat spell, very unusual for most all of Arizona. We’re hoping to go back in the fall to enjoy the great property and the deck and outdoor areas.

The cool temperatures, abundance of trees and the privacy that comes from a property on the forest boundary, was just what we were looking for to escape from the heat and to enjoy nature.

Our large 10 acre property is quiet and secluded with miles of forest trails right out the back gate for hiking, horseback riding, quading, mountain biking or even a short evening walk. De-stress while you sip coffee in the mornings or enjoy an evening cocktail while grilling, on our huge deck under the cool pines. Often times you will hear the soothing sounds of tree branches as they sway in gentle breezes. It's a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or to just have some alone time with that special someone, away from it all.
