A nice journey in Çukurcuma

The flat consists of a living room, a bedroom, a small working studio, one bathroom and a kitchen that blends with the large entrance, which is commonly used as a dining room in this type of building layouts in Istanbul. The furniture has been eclectically handpicked from the local shops, while some of it has been especially designed to fit with the flat in a practical way, and to create a cozy atmosphere. And plants: there are lots of them! There are only two other flats in the building, and the neighbors are friendly. The neighborhood is 24 hours alive, safe and sociable for every age. The close by neighborhood Cihangir is where the heart of Istanbul’s nightlife beats, both in bars and pubs of different styles and in the street, where it is very common to grab a drink and chat for hours.
The building has been recently reinforced and restored. The wooden floors and most of the windows are original, and maximum sensitivity was shown regarding the preservation of the flat. The high ceiling, characteristic of the apartment buildings in the area, brings a feeling of ease when you enter, right before you meet with the famous red color of the Museum of Innocence, which flows from the bedroom's window and balcony.
