In unserem Haus finden Sie alles, was Sie für einen erholsamen, ungewollten Aufenthalt oder als Ausgangspunkt für Abenteuerlustige benötigen. Die Küche und der Waschraum sind komplett ausgestattet. Hinweis: Kein WLAN und kein Kabel-TV!

Von hier aus haben Sie eine fantastische Aussicht auf den Wheeler Peak und die Sommer sind auf einer Höhe von 800 Metern herrlich kühl und erfrischend. Entfliehen Sie für eine Weile der Hitze von Texas und Oklahoma und genießen Sie Golf, Angeln, Reiten und Wandern im wunderschönen Moreno-Tal im Norden von New Mexico.

Angel Fire hat sich zu einem Mountainbike-Ziel entwickelt und bietet exzellente Fahrten für alle Könnerstufen. Erklimmen Sie den höchsten Gipfel in New Mexico, den Wheeler Peak, mit einer Höhe von über 13.000 Metern und genießen Sie die Aussicht aus den Panoramafenstern des Wohnzimmers. Forellen und Barsche können im Eagle Nest Lake hervorragend gefischt werden, und Angler können die Waldbäche nach Kühlwasserforellen absuchen. Auf dem Land des National Forest finden Jäger reichlich Elche, Rehe und Blaubeeren. Der Herbst ist besonders atemberaubend: Die Espen färben die Berge in einem goldenen Flickenteppich, und der listige Bullenelch, der in der Ferne lauscht, ist ein einzigartig wilder Klang der Berge.

Im Winter ist Skifahren König und Snowboarder lieben die neuen Terrain Parks. Dank der umfassenden Beschneiung bleibt Ihre Familie auch dann auf den Pisten, wenn anderen Resorts der Schnee ausgeht.

Das Haus ist zentral beheizt und ein Gaskamin für eine angenehme Sicht im Wohnzimmer. Wir leben jetzt die meiste Zeit des Jahres außerhalb von New Mexico und viele unserer Kleidungsstücke und Habseligkeiten werden in den Schränken des Hauses aufbewahrt. Vielen Dank im Voraus, dass Sie sich für unsere überfüllten Schränke entschuldigen.

Einkäufer und Historiker werden Taos, nur etwa 35 Minuten entfernt, mit vielen Kunsthandwerksgeschäften, Restaurants und einer langen Geschichte, die auf die spanischen Entdecker vor Hunderten von Jahren zurückgeht, zu schätzen wissen. Die Gegend ist so reizvoll, dass viele Filmstars hier ihr Zuhause haben. Oder begeben Sie sich nach Santa Fe für noch mehr Abwechslung, etwa 90 Minuten entfernt.

Hinweis: Auf den Fernsehgeräten gibt es einen guten Mobiltelefonservice und DVD-Player. Bringen Sie Ihr Smartphone und DVDs mit, da es kein WLAN und kein Kabel-TV gibt. Bei schlechtem Wetter in den Wintermonaten können 4X4-Fahrzeuge oder Reifenketten für einen kurzen Teil der Schotterstraße hilfreich sein.

Quiet location, great view

We enjoyed our stay at this location. Far enough away to feel remote, but a short 5 minute drive to Angel Fire for skiing and supplies. The roads were not bad, & we had no trouble driving to & from with a standard all wheel drive rental. Would stay there again!

Amazing vacation

This had to be our favorite vacation destination so far. The property was exactly as listed online and the views were even more spectacular than the pictures. The wildlife around was amazing and it was perfectly located between Red River, Angel Fire and Eagles Nest. We would love to be back someday.

Nice Get Away

We had a relaxing week in Angel Fire. The house and location were excellent. It was so nice being out in the middle of nowhere. I only have two negatives for the house. First, the master bedroom and second bedroom had no closet space or dresser space. We "lived"out of our suitcases for the week. That was weird and a bit inconvenient. Second, having no internet was a bit of an inconvenince. Having no cable or satellite was okay but having internet would have been appreciated. Overall, our stay was fantastic. We loved sitting out on the patio every evening. We cooked breakfast and dinner every day and the kitchen had all the basics for us to use. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Great views

We look for properties with mountain views and wide open spaces and we were not disappointed. There were mountain views in multiple directions with sunsets over the mountains. There was good star gazing and the proximity to hiking all made for a very enjoyable experience. The property is located at the end of a dirt road, we would recommend walking up the road and continue walking even when it is just tire tracks in the grass right to the top. Great views and we saw elk grazing. We would have happily stayed longer than the week we booked.

Great views of the mountain and a very cozy comfortable cabin. Close to the town and slopes. You will need a four wheel or all wheel drive for the driveway when it snows or is icy.

Lovely get away

This home is a comfortable retreat from the hectic realities of every day life. Isolated enough for peace, quiet, and, relaxation, yet only a super quick drive to town. The stillness in the night makes for an ultra quiet atmosphere, and the home itself is well stocked, spacious, and ample. This place is most definitely a welcomed retreat to enjoy.

Fantastic! Be aware of snowy conditions.

12/30/19-1/3/20 Overall this was a great house. Very close to the ski resort. Very comfortable for our family of four. Well outfitted kitchen. Beautiful views. Take it seriously that you will need snow tires / snow chains or cables / 4 wheel drive. Our AWD Volvo XC90 couldn't make it up the last hill when we first arrived. It was just a little too steep with the snow that was on the ground. Thankfully a very friendly and helpful neighbor helped us get our stuff up the hill to the cabin. After 2 days and a little melting, we finally were able to make it up the last hill. Be aware that the drives up to the house are not regularly plowed and the circle drive in front of the house was not plowed at all. Even when we made it up the hill we couldn't park in it. Even so... it was a wonderful week. The snow was a pain for getting to the cabin but it made for some really great skiing. And we have some fun stories to tell from the trip!

Just like home!

First the "con". Yep, there was only one! The road to the house is dirt and gravel. No need for 4WD but some people don't like dirt roads so I just thought I'd put that out there. It was not a problem with our group. And the development in the area tells me the road will be improved upon so don't let that keep you away. (But that's why 4 stars instead of 5) Now, the "pros". Everything else was wonderful. We saw at least 100 Elk surrounding the property one evening. The views are 360 and spectacular! Not very far from Angel Fire & Eagles Nest where you can buy anything you need but you won't need anything at this rental because they have thought of everything! It was just like being at home but with WAY BETTER VIEWS!! We loved it and would stay again & again! Tammy & Rex

Wonderful stay

The property is beautiful and isolated. Even still, it's just a short drive into town to the great grocery store and restaurants. We even made a Thanksgiving dinner there, with some adjustments. Our only "real" issue (which wasn't a big deal at all) came up when there was no wine opener or hot pads, but we made do! It would have been nice if the fireplace worked, but the house itself is very, very comfortable with great heating, so it was fine. As for hot water, even with 5 people taking showers, dishwasher running, etc, we didn't run out! The absence of wifi and TV was a huge plus to me. My kids loved playing outside, my husband loved playing with our telescope outside on the incredible starry views, and I loved how quiet, peaceful and welcoming the whole area is. We would definitely come here again, and have recommended it to friends.

Very nice house with an awesome view. We highly recommend renting this house.

The moment we stepped in this house, I knew we were going to have a great time. The view of the mountains and the lake in Eagles Nest is awesome. Saw a herd of elk the first day and the humming birds flew around us made memories that will be with for a long time. I highly recommend staying in this home to everyone who just needs to escape from the daily rat race. Will definitely return on our next getaway vacation.

Great home with everything you need. Great views of Angel Fire to Wheeler Peak to Eagle Nest. Literally hundreds of elk almost daily. Flexible, helpful owner. Clean. Just outside of town, private, peaceful and quiet. I’d stay here again.

Incredible views of valley and wildlife!

We recently enjoyed a 10 day stay, and were amazed by the views and the amount of wildlife we were able to see from our cabin. The house is cozy and well-stocked, and it's just a short drive to the local market for anything you need. The area is quiet and is at the end of a road, so the only traffic is the neighbors, who live far enough away that the cabin feels very private. The owners are very nice, and take pride in making sure you have a pleasant stay. We will be back as soon as possible!

Beautiful mountain home

The house is new and exceptionally well maintained. furniture and appliances are nice. The owner went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable by installing bunk beds in the spare room for the kids. The owner also called several times to make sure everthing was fine. 4 wheel drive would be essential for winter visits because of the long private road into the property that gets some snow drifts in places. Very conveniently located close to town and the view of Wheelers peak is magnificent. I will definitely stay here again when I plan to visit the area. Wildlife viewing was excellent in late December

Angel Fire is a family oriented ski and snowboard area, the best one for families in New Mexico... and it has the fastest lifts! So when we bought a ski condo, naturally it was in Angel Fire. Our kids were 6 and 8 years old at the time. Years later, we bough this place as our planned retirement home. We also love the hiking and fishing in the area, and enjoy the wonderfully cool summers as a getaway. We like to go backpacking up Wheeler peak and camp in a secluded basin, and watch bighorn sheep from our camp.
