Nice house but not ski in/ski out

This is a very large house that's good for a group, however, it is not ski in/ski out. Your options for ski in/ski out are below: Ski in: walk 1/2 mile uphill from the base, or 500 ft downhill from the mountain plus 50 stairs plus another 800 ft downhill to the house. Ski out: walk 1/2 mile downhill to the base, or 800 ft uphill plus 50 stairs plus another 500 ft uphill to the mountain. We went later in the season so there was less snow on the road and access trail. It would be easier with snow, but still not ski in/ski out.

Perfect birthday getaway

Recently stayed here for 5 days on a milestone birthday getaway with a core group of friends and couldn't have been happier with the unit. We were surprised on how much bigger it was in person. The bedrooms were as advertised but the listing didn't quite capture how much extra living space came with it... the house is over 4 levels with three separate living areas and a heated garage with a pool table and couch. This was perfect for allowing all of us to feel like we weren't on top of each other. It was so nice to have a full kitchen to cook many of our meals in as a way to offset costs of eating in the village. Amazing location too with only a 7 minute walk downhill to the base of the gondola/heart of the village (and only a $7 cab back up to the unit... which was appreciated after a full day skiing!). Would definitely stay again.

Great Birthday Getaway

Very spacious place that is a stones throw from the village! Check In & Out process was very easy and they accommodated us in some slight re-arrangements to the sleeping situation. Will be staying here again if coming up with a big group!

Awesome 5 Floor Ski Cabin! Steam shower for the win!

This place was great! I wasn’t expecting so many different floors based on the photos, but that was a bonus! Let people spread out if they wanted to go to bed early or get up at the crack of dawn. The steam shower in the top floor master bath was over the top, made for a great wake up rejuvenation rinse!

Great Stay!

Amazing stay! We didn’t feel crammed at all and the amenities were great. When we were having issues with the hot tub, Bob sent us instructions on how to fix. The steam shower in the master bedroom was fantastic! The walk down and up to the village wasn’t bad for anyone in their 30s. Would recommend staying again!

fabulous property in great location!

we enjoyed our stay in this luxury accommodation. Beds were nice and comfortable. The kitchen well furnished. Hot tub worked well and hit the spot after skiing. Parking worked well for 3 cars (1 in the garage, 2 in the driveway). Only 2 minor issues: 1. we needed to check in a downtown location which was hard to find. I am used to going directly to the property. 2. We had trouble operating the cable TVs. instructions seemed to indicate that they would just work. Weren't intuitive.

Very Disappointing

I had seen in some of the other reviews that the appliances were dated which wasn't a problem however I had hoped they would work. The hot tub was green and needed to be drained and refilled which was done on the last day so wasn't usable for the trip. The large TV didn't work because the remote had been left off the charger and was dead for the whole trip. Coffee pot was broken, Wine fridge on the main floor didn't work and the fridge in the games room didn't work. The sheets on the master bed were stained and the bathroom downstairs had a terrible smell because the bath mat was moldy. Also the couch on the main floor had stains on it. Not sure how this is classified as luxury accommodation with Hot tub and media room when they don't work. Worst VRBO experience I have had. Property manager resolution was 10% off my next trip. There certainly won't be one because of this.

Good Location But Not Luxury Accommodations

While the property location was great, close to Whistler Village and ski slope access, the unit itself was far from 5 star luxury accommodations, as priced and advertised in the listing. The check-in process was difficult. We had to wait beyond the check-in time to get access to the unit, and the check-in representatives could not answer basic questions about parking. On our first night we discovered the bed frame in the primary bedroom was destroyed, preventing us from using the bed that evening. The management team responded in a timely manner, however, and repaired the bed frame the next day. We were also provided a partial refund, after requesting one, for not having access to the bed for one night. As others have noted, the unit is tired and in need of upgrading and maintenance to make this a 5 star luxury accommodation. The dishwasher did not work well and was rusting and dented, there were no basic cleaning supplies to wipe down kitchen counters, etc., the balcony light where the hot tub was located did not work, the media center did not function, and other minor issues. Overall, I cannot recommend staying here until the unit is appropriately maintained to match the description.

Dated property needs a facelift

The photos of this property look amazing but the actual condo has a lot of issues. The appliances like the stove were actually filthy. Some of the cabinet doors didn’t close. Also there is a lock on the garage door which is actually dangerous because children could be locked out. Multiple lights were out. The hot tub is dated and there was a filthy rug on the deck. The level of cleanliness and attention to detail just wasn’t there.

Property was excellent with all amenities. Kids had a lot of fun together. Accessing the ski area via the upper road path from property was a bit difficult, but we made it up and down. Overall we had a great time as a group. Thank you for having us.

A wonderful stay for two families

There are more than enough beds and bathrooms for our two families (4 adults and 3 kids). There are also sufficient cookware and tableware for all of us. Very convenient commute to village. The hot tub works good and my friend enjoyed it below 0 degree celcius. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at Northern Lights 3.

Great place for a large group!

This place was the perfect place for our group of 10 people. It had a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, parking for up to 5 vehicles, and with most rooms being on different floors everyone had their privacy. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Fantastic rental in Whistler/ Northern Lights

This was a fabulous rental for our week in Whistler. Very spacious and modern, full amenities throughout. The hot tub was fabulous after full days of mountain biking. Great full-service, up to date kitchen and wine bar. Luxurious master suite upstairs, and lots of bedrooms for everyone one 3 more levels below. Great game room and media room as well. Quick ride/walk down into the village, but also separate and quite. A fantastic rental for our family/group -- we hope to come back soon!

Whistler Weekend

The property was well kept and a short walk to the village. Our group had a great time. There are lots of different levels so you need to be able to comfortably walk up and down stairs. The master bedroom was huge but there were some windows without blinds so bring a sleep mask. Overall, we had a great time.

3 Northern Lights

The house is comfortable and well equipped. It would have been nice to have a welcome pack for such a property. Also some local information and recommendations would have been helpful instead of having to research. We did not manage to get any discounts as advertised by the management company? The walk up to the slopes is quite strenuous and also walking down to the town with Ski's etc. We took many taxis which came quickly and were inexpensive. Whistler was a fantastic resort and we had a very enjoyable holiday!

Fantastic location!

This home is perfect for two families. Easy walk to the village. There is a trail off of the mountain that leads to the neighborhood which was very convenient to ski in but a little more challenging to ski out. We choose to just walk to the gondola instead. The furnishings are a little tired but the home is detailed with high end finishes. The beds were very comfortable and the home was clean. We had plenty of room for four big boys ages 15-21. Two master bedrooms with kings size beds were perfect for the parents. The kitchen needs a little attention. The appliances are high end but old. We found the kitchen to be clean but the utensils were dirty because the dishwasher doesn’t work all that well. We also found the kitchen to be lacking adequate pans and glassware. The property manager was very responsive regarding the kitchen issues so I’m sure it will be taken if care. We very much enjoyed the media room and hot tub and can’t wait to return!
