Schöne 2 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder Ferienhaus, Wintergarten mit Blick auf das Wasser, ein großes Wohnzimmer, Kabel-und High-Speed-Internet (In der Saison. Off-Street-Parkplatz und einen schönen Garten mit Grill für das Kochen im Freien. Und es ist nur 60 Schritte vom Strand entfernt!

Broadkilll Beach ist ein verstecktes Juwel an der Delaware Bay. Fahrt durch das PrimeHook Wildlife Refuge (schaut euch das an!) zu einem kleinen Strandstreifen, der The Broadkill ist. Es geht ungefähr 2 Meilen in beiden Richtungen von der Hauptquerstraße. Dies ist ein großartiger Ort, um Ihren Lauf zu bekommen. Es gibt nur eine kommerzielle Eigenschaft, die die Einheimischen "The Mall" nennen, wo Sie fast alles bekommen können, was Sie für Ihren Aufenthalt benötigen. Sie können manchmal fühlen, dass Sie den Strand für sich haben! Die Leute in der Gegend sind fantastisch, freundlich und geben einem das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein.

Nehmen Sie Ihr Auto, Fahrrad oder gehen Sie einfach an Bord. Auf der anderen Seite befindet sich ein Trolly, der Sie in die Stadt bringen kann. Holen Sie sich frisch, direkt vom Boot, Jakobsmuscheln im Dockside Restaurant im The Lobster House. Natürlich musst du ein bisschen Screeball spielen oder du kannst warten, bis du nach Rehoboth zurückkehrst, um dich daran zu versuchen. Der SeaShell-Shop Minigolf macht immer Spaß, zurück auf Rte 1 in Delaware, oder vielleicht möchten Sie alle Outlets auschecken. Speichern Sie die Outlets für einen regnerischen Tag sowie das Kino in der Nähe.
Für mich ist ein lustiger Tag am Strand immer toll; Vielleicht haben Sie Ihren Morgenkaffee auf der Bank mit Blick auf die Bucht, beginnen Sie am Morgen mit einem Spaziergang, um nach Muscheln zu suchen; reite die Wellen; ein Paddleboard mieten oder etwas Vitamin D aufsaugen; dann ein Grillabend - ich kann die Holzkohle riechen - vielleicht ein paar saftige Cheeseburger heute Abend? und vergiss nicht die Smores. Schauen Sie in einer klaren Nacht auf und sehen Sie die Milliarden von Sternen, die Sie nie zu Hause sehen werden! Es ist wunderbar! Öffnen Sie alle Fenster nachts, damit Sie die Wellen hören können, während Sie die beste Nacht aller Zeiten haben! HABE SPASS!!

Off Season Beach Trip

Broadkill beach is ideal for a low key, relaxing vacation. No boardwalk crowds to contend with; it was like having a private beach. For early risers, you can walk out of this house and within seconds be sitting on a bench at the dunes to watch the sun come up over the bay. The house owner is very friendly and helpful in suggesting local restaurants. We had a great time!

Close to beach

Lovely, short walk to the bay where you can swim and enjoy nature. The broadkill store is a short walk to get donuts or ice cream. Lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed outlr stay and felt very relaxed.

Cute tiki room vibe

We had a fabulous time staying at this Cottage. The size and location was perfect for us. Just steps from the beach with a nice sitting area, we watched the sunrise one clear morning. We loved the tiki room vibe enhanced with our tiki music playlist on Spotify. Perfectly situated for day trips to Rehobeth, Lewes, and the Cape May ferry, the Cottage is perfect for relaxing and adventuring. The host was fantastic and helpful, making sure our stay was enjoyable from booking to departure.

Beach getaway

We had a lovely time! We were in town for a sports tournament and had the opportunity to turn our stay into a mini vacation. This property was in the perfect location to enjoy our sports events and enjoy our time off. Steps from the beach made the evenings relaxing.

Cutest cottage by the bay. Cozy and clean. Location is semi-secluded, away from the hustle of the ocean beaches. Small beach town feel. Only a short trip to shopping and the boardwalk. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

A little slice of heaven

The four of us were absolutely thrilled with the accommodations themselves and the location of the property. The convenience of being so close to the beach in this very quiet community was amazing. We were able to take advantage of exploring the region on a few of our days there. So many things to see and do within an hour of the location. Our weather was perfect and we took advantage of cooking most meals which was a breeze with the kitchen amenities and grill. We will return for sure.

Cozy Cottage Close to the Beach

Proximity to the beach can't be beat for the price. Cozy, cute cottage that worked perfectly for us. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a sleepy beach town, this is the place. Just check with the owners regarding the number and ages of guests. There was a bit of miscommunication that the listing Sleeps 6, but owner didn't want us to have 4 adults staying in the home. I'm not sure if it's an ongoing or new issue, but the septic is particularly precarious. You need to be very cautious about the water usage. Again, super cute cottage in a great location with beach access. Just pay attention to the fine print in the listing. **Note: There is no washer/dryer. **Note: There are technically 2 bathrooms in the home, but only one functioning.

Wonderful first family beach vacation!

We had a wonderful time and Lynn was very responsive. Location location location! Not only was the beach just over the dunes but the only convenient store was just a minutes walk down the street which made such a difference with a three year old and newborn. Plus, the state beaches are a short drive away. It was our first family vacation to the beach since we had kids and we can’t imagine it having gone better. Definitely will consider coming here again. Thanks!!

Perfect Quiet Beach Getaway

This property was exactly what we were looking for! The house was perfect for our family of three. It had a retro/tiki/beach cottage vibe going on, which we loved! The house was clean and well organized. The kitchen had everything we needed for our cooked meals. Lynn, the host, was very helpful and communicated everything clearly. Be aware that there is not a washer/dryer which made drying our beach towels a little tricky, but there is a backyard which gets sun most of the day, so we dried everything the old fashioned way. The house is literally less than a minute's walk to Broadkill Beach which is a quiet, sparsely populated beach. The sunrises were amazing and the highlight of our beach time. The local store was also just a short walk away and we visited it most days for coffee or ice cream. We would book this property again in a heartbeat!

We had a great time at this property. The property was clean and we'll maintained. A minute from the beach with easy access. The beach itself was quiet, peaceful, and never crowded. A great place to truly relax and enjoy! The property owners, Rich and Lynn, were very responsive, and very helpful leading up to and during our stay. Cottage is very cute, great location so close to the beach. Nice quiet beach.

Everything was fine. Bit of a problem with the septic. Had to end up using one bath for 5 ladies. And limit kitchen sink use. But owner was responsive, couldn't fix because of holiday weekend, but an overall good experience.

This was a really wonderful little cottage just steps to Broadkill Beach. Our family’s first time to this beach after going to Cape Henlopen for many years. Definitely a great spot. Lynn was super responsive.

Perfect Cottage for our Family

We have stayed at this cottage twice, in June 2018 and 2020, and it was perfect for our family which includes three kids under 7. The cottage is one story which is great for little kids to have free reign without the worry of stairs. It is quaint and as another reviewer mentioned, it really reminds me of beach cottages I stayed in growing up. We loved that the beach was never crowded and the only downside is that the access is a bit steep due to erosion. The Broadkill Store is a short walk away and a great destination for donuts and ice cream. Rich and Lynn were responsive and very helpful with recommendations (the Backyard for lunch on the way in!). This was a perfect rental for our family and I look forward to going back in the years to come.

Lovely little cottage

We arrived to Broadkill a bit before check in and were able to check out the area near the house. Which is only a few steps fro the beach (on the bay). It’s a little hard getting into the beach due to erosion, so there are no stairs or ramps. Which could make that difficult with someone who had trouble walking or have to carry little babies. But a short drive to Broadkill park is a little easier to get onto the beach. We still loved how close it was. If you picture a beach house from growing up, this was definitely it. We loved it! Very charming, you could sit outside at the table after the beach. Not so much at night though it was very buggy. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. Every question that we had was answered quickly and Lynn and Rich were very easy to work with. We loved Broadkill and their home!

The best of both worlds, Broadkill Beach is a quiet and secluded place to relax in the sun, and it's also close to the nightlife, restaurants and shopping of the shore points. Also close by are Cape Henlopen State Park, and the Cape May/Lewes Ferry.
