We had a wonderful family-centered stay at The Farmhouse. The layout of the main floor is really nice and open, with a very large family/living room space. This was ideal for us as we had a 10-month old in a walker who needed space for exploring, as well as 6 to 8 older kids all playing together at times on the Nintendo Switch. So the fact that the living space could fit all of those people, simultaneously, was just perfect.
There are also 2 dining tables (one in the dining room and one in the family room), which enabled us to seat 14 for dinner one evening. We also really appreciated the high chair and pack-n-play that were provided.
With all of those people, I do a lot of cooking, and I was truly stunned at how well equipped this home was. It had everything we needed and more! Normally, when we rent a house, we end up having to buy some necessity for the kitchen, but that was not the case here!
We were pleasantly surprised by the number of bedrooms, as (if I recall correctly) the home was listing as sleeping up to 9, but with 5 bedrooms with at least a full-sized bed in each (plus the one low-to-the-floor cot-like bed which my 6-year old was just in love with!), the home could comfortably sleep 11!
Lastly, were the big, beautiful grounds, with a nice view off the back porch. We were there in winter, so couldn't spend much time on the back porch, but any other time of the year, I suspect it is just lovely. We truly hope to return to experience it ourselves! As it was with the cold, the one who got to enjoy the grounds the most was our dog, and of course our young children as they seem impervious to the cold temperatures :) But, we did get to witness a gorgeous sunrise one morning.
All in all, we couldn't have been happier with our stay here, and we look forward to returning!
