No Water- No Refund
The property was very beautiful and exactly as pictured, and was clean upon arrival. Unfortunately our stay was less than desirable. The entire stay we had no running water! We reached out to the owner immediately and he did not do anything for the first 24 hours. The second day he said it was a community problem and they were working to resolve it. We could not wash dishes (there is nowhere to eat in the area, so we planned on cooking our meals), we could not shower or wash our hands. While I understand that these things can happen, the owner took no responsibility nor offered to reimburse us in any way. My family and I came to celebrate my dad's 65th birthday and this really put a damper of the whole experience! Lastly, on the day we were leaving, we had a 1pm check out time. We did our best to use bottled water to clean the dishes, which was very challenging. Then at 930am, we had two men knock on our door and say they were checking in for their stay. I notified the owner and again he took zero responsibility and said it was miscommunication of the next renters part.After going back and forth with the owner, he said he would reimburse me 20% of our stay (which is barely sufficient due to having ZERO RUNNING WATER), but then he never followed through and we received ZERO REFUND. While the property was beautiful, this owner was very unprofessional and handled this situation completely terribly. I would not recommend staying in his property. Ruined Dads Bday!
