Perfect

This home was perfect - the location is on a beautiful beach that is fairly secluded (except for the turtles, they were hanging out in the water in front of the house every day). A sandy entry point for swimming is a short walk down the beach. The house itself is great - we watched the sunset every night from the upstairs lanai but there is also a lot of space for people to spread out in the house (plus a small office if needed). If you are looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful home, this is it.

Perfect family vacation!

This home was absolutely perfect! My husband & I & our boys & daughter-in-laws & grandsons enjoyed every minute of this beach house! It had plenty of space. The yard was perfect for our grandkids & the beach was easy access. I can’t say enough about the property managers, Donna & Damon! They were so accommodating & friendly! We would definitely go back to this exact beach house!

Paradise Perfection

Look no further, you have found the perfect property. We had a group of 9 + a toddler. I would stay a this property again and again. We ate dinner on the balcony every night to watch the sunset. The kitchen is bigger than it looks in the pictures. The bedrooms were large with beautiful views. So many turtles in the sea in front of the house. We had family in from CA, IL and TX and we all loved every minute of our stay. Donna & Damon are awesome too!

This is a beautiful home with stunning views. The property is well maintained, and excellently furnished. Everything is high quality and in good repair. We especially enjoyed the easy beach access (It is literally a few steps off the back yard), and the great sound system.

Pictures don't do justice!

The property was perfect for our family of 10. Everyone had their space and there was plenty of group are for us to gather together. The kitchen is larger that what the pictures showed which was great! Also you had just about all kitchen appliances needed. But most I must say the attention the property management made on a daily basis was above and beyond. Definingly a place I would come back again. Thanks for making our family vacation a blast and great memory!!

Perfect for us

This was a great beach house and worked out great for our family, 2 couples, one 90 year old mom, 3 singles and a 5 year old. It was roomy enough for us, the deck was great for dining with plenty of seating and great view of the waves. We have rented many houses and this one was stocked better than any other kitchen. Everything needed for cooking, plus spices etc, it was nice not to go out to buy every little thing like salt, pepper, TP and paper towels! There were games, books, beach chairs even snorkels and plenty of beach towels. A nice yard to play crouquet and bocce ball. Donna and Damon, the managers where so nice and helpful but never in your space even though they live on property. Just a few minutes from town which had everything we needed. The waves can be a little loud in the winter since they are so big, if you happen to be a light sleeper you might have an issue, but you get used to it is a few days.

Family Vacation for the Books!

We enjoyed our stay so very much! My father would sit on the lanai and watch the surf and turtles every morning with a cup of coffee. We would play cards on the outdoor dining table all night with the kids while hearing the crash of the waves. A Polynesian dream home for sure! Each room is equipped with a bathroom with a shower with the exception of the downstairs room. It has a lovely outdoor heated shower that our nephews LOVED! There is so much room in the two living areas that it was more than comfortable for the 10 of us. The kitchen is overly stocked with every amenity needed to cook in. The onsite property managers listened to our request and made sure there were enough fishing poles for my husband and nephews to use to beach fish upon our arrival. Whatever you need; beach towels, beach chairs, new sheets, soap, shampoo, snorkel gear, directions, recommendations for food is all found within reach. No need to worry...this house has it! The beach is not made for swimming, however you can take a short stroll down the sand to a swimming beach. The drive into town is less than a mile where you can use the Malama store or Longs Drugs for all your needs. We hired a photographer to capture our family vacation as well! The house has gorgeous settings both in the yard and the beach! Beds are comfy with small AC units and ceiling fans in the bedrooms (expect downstairs) which made the sticky nights comfortable to sleep soundly. All in all we couldn't have been more happy with the house and Hawaiian hospitality! My family are Polynesian and have a lot of family on Oahu. We understand the Poly way of giving. And this hale had so much aloha! We appreciated the country vibe so close to the town of Haleiwa that would do this again! Mahalo to Donna and her charming husband for taking such great care of us! Sunsets and Sea Turtles

Wow! This house was everything we hoped it would be. Sitting on the upstairs lanai each morning with our coffee and every evening with a glass of wine was perfect. The downstairs lanai was great for taking naps. We ate most meals from the upstairs lanai in order to take advantage of the amazing ocean views. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. The whole house was impeccably clean. We spent a lot of time driving around Oahu and we believe our beach was among the most beautiful we observed. It felt like our own private beach. There were plenty of beach towels for a family of 5 adults. The sunsets were exactly as pictured. Turtles were found daily on the beach or eating the algae from the reefs. Communicating with Donna and Damon was always pleasant and easy. Dealing with the daily traffic in/out of Haleiwa was a bit of a pain but after one day you learn how to game it. The AC in the family room couldn't quite keep up with the high temps which made it slightly uncomfortable. The downstairs bedroom has no AC which was noted but somehow we missed that. There are no lounge chairs (shown in the photos) available on the front lawn which we were really looking forward to. Otherwise this house was a dream and we would absolutely love to return. We give it our highest possible recommendation.

Nice property and good location

Overall we loved the house and it’s location! Close to Haleiwa which is our favorite local town on the North Shore. The house is very well stocked for staying in and cooking or grilling. Decent location on Sunset Beach. The only reason for the four stars instead of five is the “master” bedroom had no TV and the mattress was a little firm for my liking. Total preference though. Loved the views and loved that the house was stocked so well for cooking and playing on the beach. There were even ingredients and a blender with fresh fruit in a basket for making piña colada‘s! Donna was so nice and helpful!! Great place if you’re looking to be away, but not far from, all of the hustle and bustle of touristy Honolulu !

Elegantly Casual with Spectacular Views

Our family's stay at 61-815 Papailoa Road in Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu was a sublime experience made even better by Damon and Donna’s understated yet always attentive hospitality. The house is a true jewel in a very special local and I cannot think of a better place to spend a restorative vacation. The property is extremely well kept and on a very quiet street. The entire house has been professionally remodeled including all bathrooms and the kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised to find a linen closet stocked with more than enough of beach towels and a utility closet full of snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas. Most of our meals were taken on the upper lanai because no restaurant could offer a better atmosphere, just plain amazing! My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer than a week, a mistake I will not repeat in the future. Truly some of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets I have ever experienced in my life and all viewed from the incredible vantage point this amazing residence offers. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and experience some beautiful hikes, snorkeling and gorgeous ocean and mountain views this is the house to rent. We hope to return again soon.

Absolutely great family vacation in paradise!

Our extended family (6 adults and 2 young kids) stayed here and had a really great time. There was lots of room for us to do our own thing if we wanted, and a fabulous lanai for our meals. We enjoyed seeing turtles, whales, and the beautiful sunsets on a regular basis. Donna and her family were so great, and we would definitely come back to this beautiful place.

Fantastic

This property exceeded our expectations. Traveling with our adult children the house & beach provided us with the space we needed to have family time & do our own thing. A great floor plan, loved the outdoor spaces, the Sonos sound system, great beds, lovely bathrooms with amazing toilets. The kitchen was large & well supplied to make wonderful family meals and the awesome beach with sea turtles & lots of wave action was 👍🏼. Everything we needed was right there & if we did need any assistance or any thing Donna & Damon were available to advise or or help. It was wonderful to have them so accessible & we enjoyed meeting their children Please know our privacy was never encroached upon. The house in general was very clean & well supplied with beach towels, beach chairs, etc. The roar of the ocean, the comfort of the home & the warmth of our hosts & the north shore made us want to stay even longer than our allotted 10 days: such a fantastic way to start 2018. We are all looking forward to a return visit. Everything you need is right there or very close by....grocery stores; restaurants, equipment rentals, fantastic beaches, hikes & more.

Stay Here!! It's Paradise

We loved this house! There is everything you need... the rooms are clean and spacious, everyone has a bathroom, it's open and airy and gorgeous. You're steps from a beach that's incredible and feels private. There are so many beautiful touches like the outdoor shower, the decor, awesome toilets (you'll see!) the stocked kitchen, the comfortable beds, sonos, cable, views... there is everything! Donna is so friendly and helpful and generally you just can't do any better than this. Thank you so much for everything! We would stay here again in a second.

Beautiful gated home right on the beach

Our family’s stay here was wonderful. The house is amazing from top to bottom. The breathtaking views across the ocean from the upper lanai alone are worth it. This was a fantastic choice for our family’s stay. The process with reserving the house was easy, and the property managers Donna and Damon were more than gracious hosts to any of our needs. The entire house was fully stocked. The kitchen and fridges have all of your start up needs to make a great cooking and dining experience. The mask, snorkels and fins make for great snorkeling adventures at the beach just beyond the backyard. We used the green egg grill downstairs a couple of times and spent a few evenings with a glass of wine on the couches downstairs just enjoying the sounds of the ocean. The closed gate property will give your family a comfortable sense of privacy and security. The beds have high-end linens and are very comfortable, and there are tons of beach towels to use. The upstairs bedrooms and family room off of the kitchen have wall a/c units for those hotter days/nights. Our first day there we had the joy of seeing and swimming with over a dozen green sea turtles. (Just make sure you don’t feed or touch.) Donna has put together starter books I highly recommend reading with great information on places to shop for food, local eateries, ocean wildlife information and general information about the area. She is always just a text away for any needs you may have. Our family was on the other side of the island one day and Donna texted us that there was some pretty heavy rainfall going on and that it would be best to come back to the north shore after the rain had stopped. The beach was wonderful and has minimal to no traffic throughout the day. I would highly recommend using the outdoor shower on the side of the house to rinse off afterwards. Our kids loved using this shower! One of the best memories will be our family eating dinner by candlelight on the upstairs lanai around the beautiful table overlooking the water with the sound of the ocean while we talked about the day’s events. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to be off the beaten path. The drive to the island’s tourist locations was minimal, but we really appreciated coming home to the house for relaxing evenings, the gentle ocean sounds and breathtaking views.

Perfect beach home

We wanted for nothing. This home is very spacious, has a wonderful kitchen, contemporary bathrooms, comfortable beds. The ocean view is beautiful, lots of turtles and quiet beach with few people. Donna and her husband were helpful with the barbeque and local recommendations. This home is on a quiet street off the Kam Hwy and close to Haleiwa. We would return in an instant!

North Shore Heaven

My family loved our stay at this wonderful beach home. The convenience to Haleiwa and the great beaches of the north shore was terrific. Papailoa Paradise!

If you are looking for the perfect location, this is it! Beautiful beach with turtles on the sand and in the water, all day, every day! You can walk forever and only see one or two people, sometimes no one. So peaceful. Close to Haleiwa groceries, restaurants, and shopping. Well maintained home in a beautiful neighborhood with high end finishes. Well stocked kitchen with high quality cookware/appliances, knives, and dishes. Lush tropical vegetation and flowers. Property managers are respectful of your privacy and helpful when needed. Would definitely return to this location again!

Absolutely beautiful area of Oahu!

The 6 of us adult family members had a wonderful time. The location could not have been better! We were just a short beach walk from fun, swim-able waters, even in the month of January! The house feels as if it is floating on the ocean- and the constant sound of the waves is very soothing. Donna and her husband were very helpful, we only saw them at the beginning of the trip but it was so nice to know they were nearby just in case. Can't reccommend it enough!
