Unwind at Roswell's Landing, a secluded mountainside oasis across from the New River. Listen to the river from the hammock, grill on the porch, or toast s'mores at the firepit. Stay entertained with foosball, darts, karaoke, and board games. Cozy up at the indoor fireplace on chilly nights.
Less than 3 miles from Zaloo's Canoes and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Dining, antiques, art galleries, and craft breweries are 10 minutes away in W. Jefferson.
Your escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life begins as you wind up from the river valley along a ¼ mile gravel road. The house is nestled into the hillside and surrounded by acres of undeveloped woodland.
The house interior is reminiscent of a cabin, with wood plank walls, overhead rafters, and a stone fireplace. The open floor plan and large windows allow for plenty of light, and you’ll feel like you are living in a treehouse as you look out over the surrounding woods. The house was built in 1972 as a fishing cabin, and we have made a number of renovations while trying to preserve the “‘70’s vibe.”
The main room features a living area, dining area, and kitchen. There’s plenty of room for the whole family on the comfy sectional couch.
Stay busy with the foosball table, dart board, retro Karaoke machine, extra large Jenga set, and plenty of board games and puzzles. Roku TV with HBO Max, Disney+, and Netflix.
The kitchen is well-stocked with all you’ll need to prepare meals at home. Cuisinart pots and pans, dining and cooking utensils, panini press, microwave, and a vintage crock pot and fondue maker, as well as spices and essentials.
Relax like royalty in the master bedroom’s king 4-poster bed with luxurious Sealy Posturepedic mattress. The second bedroom is the “kids room,” with a twin-over-full bunk bed, bamboo papasan chair, and second TV.
Outdoors, you can listen to the sounds of the river while reading on the porch swing or enjoy a romantic dinner on the patio table as the sun sets over the mountain. Solar lighting guides you down the hill to the outdoor firepit, supplied with firewood and the perfect spot for marshmallows under the stars.
