Die Double Eagle Schiff

Der Blick von einem der drei Decks ist ein lebendiges Bild, das Sie wollen in Ihrem Gedächtnis zu ätzen. Adler, Möwen und Raben kreuzen häufig hinter dem Schiff auf der Thermik. Achten Sie darauf, Ihre Kamera zu bringen, wie Sie einige wunderbare Fotos zu bekommen.
Die "Double Eagle" wurde ursprünglich als Gulf Coast-Tour / Cruise Boot gebaut, wurde aber zu einem Golfküste Shrimper umgewandelt. Am 24. März 1989, geerdet der Tanker Exxon Valdez auf Bligh Reef im oberen Teil des Prince William Sound. Der Tanker wurde rund 53 Millionen Liter Rohöl trägt. Innerhalb von ein paar Tagen hatte es fast 11 Millionen Liter Öl in Prince William Sound verschüttet. Es war dann, dass die "Double Eagle" wurde nach Alaska gebracht als Mannschaft Viertel während der Bereinigung zu arbeiten und zu dienen.

Awesome property

Our family had a fabulous stay in this unique property. The location was great - it felt secluded but with easy access to Homer and The Spit. The views were incredible and the boat had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We are all short (under 5'9") and had no issues, but we did note the ceiling heights might be less comfortable for a tall family. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time. Karen was incredibly accommodating and helpful. We felt like we were being looked after. The place was spectacular on the rainy/cloudy days, and breathtaking on the clear days. We will definitely be staying at the Double Eagle again!

Amazing

We had a delightful stay on "the ship." We were looking for something different that provided space for my dad, me and a teen. It was perfect!!! We had a great vacation, caught a lot of fish, and the great accommodations were a huge part of it! Got great directions, provided contact if we need anything, and couldn't have asked for anything more.

Unique Experience

I travel to many places and this place and location is now one of my favorites. This place (boat) is my idea of a perfect vacation home and destination. Every detail is thought of, not only its location with gorgeous views, but also all the extras. This 70’ shrimp boat is spacious, has a fireplace to warm things up, or spacious decks to enjoy the sun and watch the fishing boats go by.

The best part of staying in the shrimp boat was the nautical surroundings and unobstructed views of the ocean. The boat is comfortable with three decks where our party could spread out in their own space. The hosts were helpful in recommending fishing spots and provided written recommendations for dining and exploring the area. Nice to have the insight of the hosts rather than relying on the internet.

Mom Adventure with 3 adult children

This stay was more than amazing and I cant wait to return. I brought my 3 adult children to Alaska for the trip of a lifetime and it absolutely was. The view from our unique lodging was perfect. I always look for fun and unique places to stay and this was perfect. The location was private yet close to everything. My only regret was not being able to stay longer.

This property was very nice. Very clean, plenty of amenities, lots of room, beautiful view. The owners were quite easy to contact and had plenty of useful suggestions for restaurants, game and birdwatching. We would stay there again. Have recommended it to many of our friends and family. My granddaughter and I spent 4 nights at the Double Eagle and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The ocean views from each room were stunning both morning and night. The owners provided everything you could ever want in a rental and were very helpful with the check in and directions. This unique boat lodging helped make our visit to Homer very memorable. Unique Option with Great View!

Unique property

We picked this property for our stay in Homer because it was unique and thought it would be a fun experience. Boy did it deliver! It was exactly as pictured, except the view, that can not be properly captured. We had a minor problem and it was handled so quickly it was like it never happened. The communication with the owner was above and beyond, not just with the issue, but in giving hints on places to visit and must try restaurants. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in Homer, you have found it! Thanks for the memories.

Awesome Homer family stay

We stayed at the property with my parents and two children. There was plenty of room, the kids were thrilled to be staying on a boat and the view cannot get any better. We live in AK but love to travel around to see our beautiful state - we have stayed in Homer a few times. This property was unique, clean, had everything we needed, Karen was wonderful to work with and the view was spectacular! We had eagles flying by daily and saw whales from the deck. I cannot say enough good things about staying here. Fantastic stay - great for a family or for couples just wanting to get away. This trip is a family memory for a lifetime. Thank you, Double Eagle, for hosting us so comfortably and beautifully.

Unbeatable views!

Fantastic rental! Really can’t beat sitting on your own balcony and watching for whales in the evening. If the sun actually set I’m sure it would be perfect for that too! Was super impressed with the cleanliness and setup, would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the Homer area!
