Great value on a beautiful lake

The home was exactly as described and we enjoyed our stay. It would be great for families with small children as the beach would be great for sand play. I especially loved the lake views from the picture windows. The home included everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay overall. The only thing I would call out is the pillows are very thick. If you are like me and like a smaller pillow you may want to bring your own. Also the shower is in need of some repairs/good cleaning.

I will return.

Everything was perfect. However, make sure to find out how much water is coming through the spillway. It makes all the difference in the world in terms of fishing. If water is gushing you will always catch there, fish regardless of how fishing is on the rest of the lake. I was under the impression there was lots of water coming out of the spillway, however it was barely a trickle. Be careful on the stairs, very steep and states are small.

Cozy Cottage of Memories

This cottage was exactly what my sisters and I needed for a get-away. It was cozy, clean, super comfortable furniture and very comfortable beds. It was literally ON the lake. We could hear the waves all night and could look at the lake all day. The swimming was perfect with a small beach for our chairs. It was exactly as the owner presented on the pictures and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful week!!! Melissa

Fall stay

We got to enjoy an extend stay in the fall and it was an amazing time to enjoy the lake. The beach is perfect. We absolutely loved the gas fireplace.

Nothing fancy, but everything you need. Manager contacted me before arrival and made sure we had everything we needed and even set us up with kayaks. Thanks for the great weekend.

Relaxing stay on Green Lake

We are a family with small children ages 5 and under and the beach area in front of the cabin was great for playing in the sand and swimming. The swimming wasn't perfect as we battled some weeds washed up near the shore and it was a bit rocky. This was easily overcomable with water shoes and there was always a path we could get out to the very clear water so it wasn't a big deal for us. The local beach in Spicer provided great swimming as well. The cabin was clean and peaceful with great views of the lake. Would definately stay again.

Great area to vacation.

Green Lake and the New London/Spicer area has a lot to offer. Weather could have cooperated more but my family had a good time at the property. The fridge went bad but Virgil was quick to bring another one to replace it. He was also a good communicator prior to and during our stay.

Our favorite vacation destination !!!!!

Nice cozy cabin

This is an old cabin that has been fixed up very nicely. It has a great location between Spicer and New London. I loved the fact that when I sat on the living room couch, all I could see out the window was water. My husband had a great time fishing and caught lots of bluegills and crappies. I enjoyed sitting on the deck and reading or just watching the lake. Even though it was quite warm the week we were there, it almost never felt hot sitting by the lake. The cabin itself had nice comfortable furniture. The one window air conditioner really isn't large enough for the cabin, but with a well-placed fan or two, it kept the cabin at a comfortable temperature. If TV is important to you, be aware that there is only one TV about the size of a computer monitor. The wifi worked great, even out on the deck. The owner is great to work with. If our son stays in the area, we will probably be back.

excellent experience

Our family had a wonderful time at this quaint, well furnished, clean and modern cabin. Green Lake is a beautiful body of water and this cabin is literally right on top of it. The Spicer/New London area has a lot of amenities and activities. We hiked 3 days at Sibley State Park and used the Glacial Lakes bike trail. The owners were warm and accommodating and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. We will definitely be returning next year.

A fabulous first VRBO experience. I echo the comments of the others. I'm not a fisherman but certainly enjoyed the quiet, the incredible view, the kitchen was well stocked, the bedding was fresh and clean, the owner was so considerate of our privacy. And the flock of American White Pelicans in perfect view provided endless entertainment (not to mention the Blue Heron, the Bald Eagles, the Loons and a flock black ducks, and maybe a couple Mergansers too). Highly recommend this property.

We'll be back!

What a wonderful experience! Great big-lake fishing or right off the dock with the kids! Thoughtful owners, a clean beach for those with children. Could the cabin be any closer to the water? There is easy parking, great nearby amenities, a safe place for the boat. With lots of updates and MN cabin charm, this is a place my family will definitely enjoy again in the future!

Great MN cabin experience- we'll be back!

This is a cozy cabin with so many updates! It's closer to the water than I even imagined! The owners are fantastic and would bend over backwards to help guests feel comfortable during their stay. Green Lake is a beautiful recreational lake, and the Spicer/ New London area has a lot to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!
