Dieses Cottage zur Selbstverpflegung # 6 verfügt über 1 Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett oder 2 Einzelbetten (bitte informieren Sie uns im Voraus), ein voll ausgestattetes Badezimmer mit ebenerdiger Dusche und 2 zusätzliche Einzelbetten auf dem Ausziehsofa im Wohnbereich. Das Parken für Ihr Auto ist in der Nähe der Hütte. Zu diesem Cottage führt eine Treppe.
Um das Haus herum gibt es Gärten mit Kräutern für frisch angebauten Tee oder zum Kochen, Obst der Saison zum Probieren, friedliche versteckte Bereiche, um Ihr Buch mit Ihrem Morgenkaffee zu lesen oder den Vögeln zuzuhören, wenn sie schlafen gehen und ein Glas Azorenwein genießen.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, nette Vermieterin

Mit der FW war alles ok. Sauber, gut gelegen und gross genug für 2. Allerdings Vorsicht bei Fewo-direkt (HomeAway) !! Servicegebühr zu hoch und Rückerstattung schwierig (im Kalender waren 14 Tage frei, es wurden nur 10 Tage vom Vermieter bestätigt, Gebühr trotzdem für 14 Tage gezahlt). Es wurden nicht alle Kosten im Angebot aufgeführt, so tauchten 50€ Steuern erst nach Buchung auf. Von Fewo-direkt lasse ich demnächst die Finger.

Urlaub in einem wunderschönen Garten

Wir haben unseren Urlaub auf den Azoren Anfang März verbracht. Leider war es in diesem Jahr doch recht kühl und wir mussten abends den Kamin heizen. Auf das wechselhafte wetter auch mit manchmal längerem Regen waren wir vorbereitet. Der wunderschöne Garten an unserem Ferienhaus und die Natur der Insel hat uns für das kühle und feuchte Wetter entschädigt. Im Ferienhaus war alles vorhanden was man so braucht. neben den vielen portugiesischen und englischsprachigen Sendern wäre ein deutsches Programm schön gewesen.

A Wonderful Stay

This rental was recommended to us and am so glad it was. What a peaceful place! Beautiful gardens and the hosts are remarkable. Our flights were cancelled and Bonita worked with us to make some changes. They offered wonderful restaurant suggestions and spots to visit. We would absolutely stay where again if we return to the island!

Paradis au Acores

Nous avons passé un excellent. séjour dans une magnifique propriété au calme avec seulement le bruit des oiseaux. La propriétaire est toujours là pour répondre à vos attentes. Le gîte n'est pas très loin de la voie rapide ce qui fait gagner beaucoup de temps pour les ballades. Si vous aimez les fleurs et les poules c'est l'endroit rêvé. Seul petit problème, quand nous sommes arrivé le gîte sentait l'humidité. Le pire était dans les placards de la cuisine. L'odeur au bout d'une semaine n'etait toujours pas parti.Nous avons du jeter un paquet de gâteaux et un paquet de chips qui on pris l'odeur. Autre problème, plusieurs jour après notre reservation, nous avons eu mail de la propriétaire nous disant que le prix pour le menage du gîte avait été oublié et que nous devions nous en acquiter en liquide à notre arrivé. Vu la superficie du gîtes , la somme réclamé est excessivement cher. Nous avons vraiment eu l'impression de nous faire voler. Mais ces petits désagréments non pas perturbé notre séjour et nous vous recommandons vivement ce gîte.

Quiet and convenient

We had a wonderful stay on this property. The grounds are beautifully kept and the cottage was well equipped and comfortable. The location is extremely convenient, close to the airport, 5 minutes to a supermarket and 5 minutes to a gorgeous beach. Our hosts were wonderful and answered any questions we might have had. This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a quiet, peaceful spot to relax. Would be geat for families with small children as well.

A wonderful stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, in a fairly central location on the island, accessible with a car. The gardens were so beautiful and the accommodation was spacious for two. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, giving us info about local restaurants and supermarkets nearby. She even supplied beach towels to use on the beach or in the hot spring pools on the island. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful week!

Zen Paradise!

Driving through the red gates into the beautiful, artistically designed gardens of Quinta das Acácias, we knew we had booked the perfect spot for our stay in São Miguel. Our cottage was set in a tropical garden, lush with flowers, trees, and chirping birds. A lovely patio for dining or just sitting and relaxing, was just outside our door. The cottage was beyond expectations in cleanliness, style, beauty, efficiency, and comfort. Our hosts Bonita and Ed were friendly, extremely helpful, and made us feel at home. Walking through and sitting at various places in their magical, zen garden made us feel like we were in paradise. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend Quinta das Acácia for your São Miguel vacation home.

Spectacular Residence

We enjoyed our stay here immensley. We were warmly greeted by Bonita and Ed....and Tom the cat. They go out of their way to make sure you are well informed about the property as well as travelling around the area. We needed a break away in tranquility and that's just we got! The gardens are full of stunning plants and interesting art pieces dotted around the garden. It was a great way to spend time when the weather was changeable. A thoroughly recommended place to stay and we shall stay there again if we need to visit Ponta Delgada. The couple also manage other rental properties on or around the island if you need another change of scenery.

Bonita and Eduino are a friendly, very helpful couple who made our stay very enjoyable. We definitely want to go back to stay in the clean, comfortable cottage in the glorious, peaceful 2 acre garden. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you would need for your stay and easy to find with the instructions that were sent to us. After a long day sightseeing we were happy to just sit and relax in the garden although there is a lovely beach a 5 minute car drive away. We definitely recommend staying here and have already told friends they must go.

A little slice of heaven

This place was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds and gardens were spectacular. Place is clean and very well equipped with all the cooking utensil you will need. Bonita and Ed were very helpful with guiding us on good places to eat and things to see. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit the island. We will definitely be back

Un bel giardino...

Location incantevole sotto l'aspetto botanico e logistico: un giardino rigoglioso, come lo sono d'altronde le Azzorre, una cura quasi maniacale dell'ordine: sembra di essere in un giardino zen. Logisticamente per la visita dell'isola è situato in una posizione strategica: a metà dell'isola, nella parte sud a 5 minuti da Ponta Delgada, a due minuti dalla super strada a 5 minuti da Lagoa. Come dicevo ordine pulizia impeccabili sia dentro l'appartamento che fuori. Luogo sicuramente tranquillo allietato dal carillon del campanile della vicina chiesa ogni mezz'ora a scandire il dolce passare del tempo. L'unica cosa che suggerirei un restyling dell'arredo del bagno ed una TV un po' "aggiornata": a colpo d'occhio andrebbero a migliorare ancor di più la già ottima impressione che già c'è. Per chi cerca la pace a due passi dal resto del mondo...

Everything one could want

Very clean and comfortable one-bedroom cottage with its own attractive eating area, set inside beautiful gardens and located close to the city. It had everything we needed and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend to our friends.

As I stated in the guest book. "When the gates opened and we saw the beautiful scene before us we were overwhelmed by the beauty of it all." The gardens were thoughtfully pleasing to the eye and beckoned to be strolled through. The entire stay was perfect, quiet and relaxing. I love everything about this lovely place as well as all of the Acores Islands. I truly felt home in my heart. Our stay at Quinta das Acacias

Peace and tranquility begin the moment the gates open up to allow you to enter this little piece of paradise! Bonita and Ed go above and beyond the "call of duty" . The care and attention to detail that Ed and Bonita put towards their gardens and cottages are equal to the attention and care that they extend to their clients. We have lived on this beautiful island for a year and have yet to see an area of this island as enchanting as this Quinta. We have lived on this island for a year and have yet to meet a more friendly, knowledgable, and giving family as the Sousas!

Eduino and Bonita Sousa made a life transition when they moved to Sao Miguel in 2006. Eduino , born on Sao Miguel, immigrated as a young boy with his family to western Canada, Alberta in 1968. He met Bonita in College. Throughout the years, they have developed expertise in several career environments. Eduino´s profession as a welder developed into a successful art career in metal sculpting. His sculptures are displayed in Canada, United States, France, Belgium and the Azores. A private collection of his works is displayed in Quinta das Acacias; the only private sculptural gardens in the Azores. Bonita, born in Canada has worked more than two decades in sales, administration and bookkeeping. She has also worked in property management for a few years in Canada. These career experiences have led Eduino and Bonita into a rewarding business of investment and property management.
After travelling to the Azores on vacation with their sons, they pursued the idea of purchasing a vacation home. In the process, they were introduced to Quinta das Acacias. They purchased the quinta in December, 2006 and opened the doors to world travellers in 2007 with new and improved operations. They continue to upgrade, update and renovated cottages throughout the years for their guest´s comfort.
Today, the proven success of Quinta das Acacias enables Eduino and Bonita to help outside visitors with the purchase and management of their dream vacation home,.
Our goal is to greet and give service to our guests to the best of our capabilities and see that they leave as new friends with many fond memories to return.
