Dieses Cottage zur Selbstverpflegung # 4 verfügt über 1 Schlafzimmer für ein Paar, ein voll ausgestattetes Bad mit ebenerdiger Dusche und 2 zusätzliche Einzelbetten auf dem Ausziehsofa im Wohnbereich. Das Parken für Ihr Auto ist in der Nähe der Hütte.

Um das Haus herum gibt es Gärten mit Kräutern für frisch angebauten Tee oder zum Kochen, Obst der Saison zum Probieren, friedliche versteckte Bereiche, um Ihr Buch mit Ihrem Morgenkaffee zu lesen oder den Vögeln zuzuhören, wenn sie schlafen gehen und ein Glas Azorenwein genießen.

Dieses Ferienhaus in Ponta Delgada liegt in ländlicher Umgebung. Hafen von Ponta Delgada und Azoreanische Ananasplantage sind einen Ausflug wert, wenn du etwas unternehmen möchtest. Wer dagegen die Attraktionen der Region bewundern möchte, ist hier richtig: Jardim Botânico José do Canto und Museum Carlos Machado. Ebenfalls einen Besuch wert sind diese beiden Highlights: Jardim António Borges (Gartenanlage) und Gorreana Teefabrik. Charming apartment in a wonderful setting

Quinta das Acacias is a wonderful garden setting 5 minutes drive from Ponta Delgada. It is conveniently located close to the main motorway yet you can't hear the traffic noise in the garden. Apartment number 4 was very well equipped and is spacious. The bed is comfy the bathroom is clean and functional (though the shower could have benefited from a thermostatic valve as the temperature was not constant). The veranda and patio benefit from the evening sun with a view over the bay at Ponta Delgada. Bonita was a very nice host and described everything very well. We had a very pleasant stay.

Heaven on Earth!

Upon arriving, we were cheerfully greeted by Bonita our hostess. Welcomed us with a nice walk-through and shared her wonderful knowledge of herbal teas growing there on the property which looks more like the garden of Eden. The Cottage had everything you needed to make you feel right at home but relaxed. The sculpture garden was such a pleasure to see! Edwardo, artist/ owner, gave us a special viewing of some of private collection. So how can you beat this? How about wild parrots flying about the picturesque gardens??? I kid you not! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique experience.

Great choice

We arrived very late - after midnight, but this was no problem for Bonita who was up and welcoming. We loved the peace, the quiet but still only 10 short minutes into the centre. Bonita was very knowleable and full of ideas for our stay. We would recommend these cottages to our friends , but only our good friends as we like to keep the best places secret for ourselves...

Maintained to a high standard and well equipped.

This was our third stay on the Island With Ed & Bonita and it was, as always, a beautiful place to relax and unwind. Ed & Bonita are perfect hosts and give excellent customer service. We highly recommend this place as one to stay at on Sao Miguel, as it is ideally situated on the island to see a variety of places. If you love to walk there are some great places to explore and it such a pleasure to do as the Island is so well kept. The countryside and coastal scenery are breath taking. Our favourite find was Ribiera Caldeiras which can be found on the old road on the way to Nordeste. The waterfalls and well kept gardens are a little oasis and you can have a drink, light bite or Ice cream in the little café there. A small gift shop offers local souvenirs. On the opposite side of the road you can climb up behind the waterfall. Whale watching on the semi-rigid boats is fantastic fun and you will see a variety of sea life on your ride. The list of things to do and see is endless. We found some great places to eat and particularly enjoyed Casa Acoreana in Ponta Delgarda and Paladares near to Quinta Das Acacias in Lagoa. Any future holidays on the island would definitely be spent here.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay! Our cottage was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed. We loved being able to cook our own meals, and we appreciated the bread that Bonita had waiting for us when we arrived! Bonita and Ed were incredibly hospitable and willing to share lots of details about the island and suggestions for what to do. The garden is BEAUTIFUL. We loved it and hope to return!

Zu Gast bei Bonita Sousa

Eduino and Bonita Sousa made a life transition when they moved to Sao Miguel in 2006. Eduino , born on Sao Miguel, immigrated as a young boy with his family to western Canada, Alberta in 1968. He met Bonita in College. Throughout the years they have developed expertise in several career environments. Eduino´s profession as a welder developed into a successful art career in metal sculpting. His sculptures are displayed in Canada, United States, France, Belgium and the Azores. A private collection of his works is displayed in Quinta das Acacias; the only private sculptural gardens in the Azores. Bonita, born in Canada has worked more than two decades in sales, administration and bookkeeping. These career experiences have led Eduino and Bonita into a rewarding business of investment and property management.
After travelling to the Azores on vacation with their sons, they pursued the idea of purchasing a vacation home. In the process, they were introduced to Quinta das Acacias. They purchased the quinta in December, 2006 and opened the doors to world travellers in 2007 with new and improved operations. They continue to upgrade , update and renovated cottages throughout the years for their guests comfort.
Today, the proven success of Quinta das Acacias enables Eduino and Bonita to help outside visitors with the purchase and management of their dream vacation home,.
Our goal is to greet and service our guests to the best of our capabilities and see that they leave as new friends with many fond memories to return.
