The Boathouse is a waterfront studio that is attached to our Lakehouse with separate and private entrance. It is a very unique space with panoramic oversized patio doors overlooking the lake with queen size bunk bed, a small kitchenette for your cooking needs, electric fireplace and an ensuite bathroom. It is literally steps away from the lake. Wake up from awe-inspiring sunrise reflecting from the water into the boathouse panoramic window.

The Boathouse has a private patio with propane BBQ, picnic table, chairs, and firepit area right by the lake.

Get cozy inside by electric fireplace or just spend a whole day playing board games, video games or watch unlimited movies. We also have high speed internet for your working or streaming needs.

Experience the long tradition of saunas and rejuvenate in our wood-fired barrel Hot Tub and Sauna made of Western Red Cedar, nested right by the lake. The hot tub will be refilled just for you with fresh lake water and it both amenities will be set up for your exclusive use and is only available upon request at additional cost (please see bellow for full description and prices). There is nothing like going back and forth between a hot tub and a sauna, followed by a cold plunge into the lake or snow – it is the peak of relaxation. Top it off with massage service by certified massage practitioner.

There is a shallow water entry, or you can just jump into the lake right of our private dock where you can also park your own watercraft (public boat access is right across). Enjoy various water activities we have to offer, such as kayaking, canoe, water mat, and plenty of water toys and floaters. We also offer boat cruises and water tubing experiences (extra, please inquire).

Sparrow Lake is also known for great fishing any time of the year, so you don’t need to go far as you can fish right of the shore. For an ultimate fishing experience, at additional charge, we offer fishing equipment, fishing boat and ice fishing hut just steps from the Lakehouse.

Take a break from water activities and play beach volleyball at our private VB court or various games on our grass lawn. There is also a large trampoline for the kids to take their energy off. Our firepit at the shoreline, is sure to keep you warm on chilly nights, or you may even want to BBQ in style using our outdoor wood stove by the front porch. In the winter, enjoy various outdoor activities, such as cross-country skiing or skating on our private rink on the lake (subject to weather). You might also want to explore nearby tobogganing hills and local snowmobile trails accessible right from our driveway.

For your convenience, we also provide all the bedding, linens and towels that are thoroughly washed and disinfected, and other essentials such as shampoo/conditioner and body wash.

The Boathouse guests will have access to the entire property, except the actual Lakehouse that is attached. The guests will have private use of the wood burning sauna and hot tub, including the boathouse patio and private firepit area by the lake. There might be other guests at our Lakehouse, which is a separate unit with separate entrance, so outdoor space like backyard or volleyball court may be shared with other guests (although we try not to overlay our guests). The guests are welcome to use kayaks and canoe, life jackets are provided (subject to weather).

We are supper friendly hosts and always available when you need us. We will provide thorough instructions on use of wood-burning sauna and hot tub and live nearby in case of anything.

Zuka Boathouse is conveniently located in beautiful lands of Muskoka that is historically notorious for its stunning beauty, clear and full of fish waters, and awe-inspiring sunsets. You will find us just 1.5-2 hours from Toronto, 40 minutes north of Barrie, or 15 minutes south of Town of Gravenhurst.

This lake is made famous by being part of the Trent Severn Waterway for unlimited boating. It is one of the first lakes settled in Muskoka. And if you like fishing, gather your fishing accessories as this is your lucky time, because Sparrow Lake is also known as one of the richest lakes for fishing, inhabiting fish like Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Muskellunge, Yellow Perch, and many others species.

We are located on Sparrow Lake - known for its gorgeous sunsets and beautiful vistas in every direction. This lake is made famous by being part of the Trent Severn Waterway for unlimited boating. It is one of the first lakes settled in Muskoka. It is also know for great fishing experience right from the shore. There is also a boat launch and public sandy beach right across from us.

We are just about 15 minutes drive up north to downtown of Gravenhurst - otherwise known as "The Gateway to Muskoka". Gravenhurst offers a
vibrant community rich in Arts, Culture and Heritage and is home to great events, recreational facilities and outdoor activities in Muskoka.

The Orillia and Lake Country region is one of Ontario’s most picturesque area’s with radiant lakes and rivers and an array of activities for all to enjoy year round, located only about 20 minutes south of us.

Zuka Cedar Spa Experience:

Experience the long tradition of saunas and rejuvenate in our wood-fired barrel Hot Tub and Sauna made of Western Red Cedar, nested right by the lake. It will be set up for your exclusive use and is only available upon request at additional cost as it needs preparation, deep cleaning, and maintenance before each guest.

You can enjoy our barrel cedar Sauna overlooking the lake at anytime throughout entire period of your stay at additional $150, including the required firewood. It will also come pre-set with Zuka's Sauna essentials: sauna “Venik” made of fresh pine or cedar branches, sauna hats, spa robes and towels, essential oils, and sauna accessories required for a true use of Cedar Sauna experience.

The Hot Tub will be additional $250 for the entire renting period. Since we use absolutely no chemicals, the hot tub will be cleaned and completely refilled for you with fresh lake water free of any chemicals. We will also pre-start it in advance of your arrival, as it may take up to 24 hours to heat up depending on the weather. You would have to keep it going by periodically adding more firewood, which is provided. It will also come pre-set with all required essentials, such as bath robes and towels, and essential oils. Picture this. You are soaking deliciously in a beautiful cedar wood hot tub, inhaling amazing cedar aroma, listening to cracking fire, and surrounded by mesmerizing nature with breathtaking lake view. Your stress and worries are melting away into the water. Tranquility abounds. The moment you are guaranteed to enjoy and remember at ZuKaLand!

There is nothing like going back and forth between the hot tub and sauna, followed by a cold plunge into the lake or snow – it is the peak of relaxation. It is very therapeutic and healthy! The total Zuka Cedar Spa experience package, together with hot tub, sauna and firewood will be a total of $400.00. If booked together as a package, you will also receive a coupon for 10% OFF for relaxation massage done by our masseuse, who will come to Zukaland with her entire set up. Unauthorized use is strictly forbidden. Guests may only utilize these amenities if pre-arranged, with specific usage instructions provided. Use of these amenities is at your own risk; the host is not liable for any incidents. Guests with medical concerns should refrain from using these facilities.
