Genießen Sie alle Jahreszeiten in diesem schönen und sehr komfortablen Haus im ländlichen Litchfield County. BarnFarm verfügt über einen Pool, eine helle und luftige Master Suite, einen Kamin und einen Raum auf sechs Hektar. Das Anwesen ist eine restaurierte Scheune und ein Melkstand. Die ursprüngliche Restaurierung wurde 1980 durchgeführt. Das Haus wurde vor drei Jahren gekauft und durchdacht. Es wurden breite Dielenböden, Beading-Boarding, Board und Latten sowie Beleuchtung von Remains Lighting hinzugefügt. Diese Aufmerksamkeit zum Detail zeigt sich in der Landschaftsgestaltung. Neue Anpflanzungen und ein neuer Poolbereich machen dieses Haus besonders.

Das Anwesen befindet sich in der Nähe des Kamms eines Hügels, nach Süden mit Sonne den ganzen Tag. Looking Glass Hill ist eine weniger befahrene Straße, in der Nähe von 202 und 5 Minuten vom Zentrum von Bantam (mit Arethusa, Bantam Markt, Antiquitäten, ein Bauernmarkt, Bantam See). Autos fahren selten und die Rückseite des Grundstücks ist sehr privat.

Das Haus ist für das ganze Jahr über voll isoliert und verfügt über Sockelleistenheizung. Zusätzliche Wärme kann vom Wohnzimmerkamin bereitgestellt werden.

Die Unterkunft ist das ganze Jahr über verfügbar. In der Regel schließen wir den Pool Ende September. Bitte erkundigen Sie sich, wenn Sie im Mai oder Oktober Fragen zur Nutzung des Pools haben (je nach Wetterlage ist dies möglicherweise möglich). Bitte beachten Sie, dass die HEIZKOSTEN FÜR DEN POOL EXTRA SIND.

Country Getaway

We had 10 wonderful days in Litchfield county. Scenic property and rural area. The house is a converted barn. No central air conditioning, but the bedrooms and living spaces have portable air conditioners. The house is spacious and comfortable. The pool was a great asset due to the extreme heat during our stay There were many hiking trails to explore with our dog, and lots of restaurants to choose from for our meals. The owner was very pleasant and the property manager responded quickly when we contacted him.

Beautiful Farmhouse Just a Short Drive from NYC/NJ

From the moment we stepped in, absolutely fell in love with the house. The beautiful furnishings and coziness of the home are unmatched. We absolutely loved the quiet of the neighborhood as well. Surrounding area is delightful! We got ice cream at the cutest place in town (strawberry was amazing) and went on a wonderful hike near the pond. Overall, an absolutely wonderful last minute trip and Michael was amazing with communication and instructions! We will definitely be back!

Great home with beautiful pool

We had an excellent time. The house is comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking family meals. The area is full of fun things to do - great hikes and great restaurants. Perfect weekend getaway from NYC

There is nothing negative I can say about this property. We spend a weekend in mid January. It was the coldest weekend we had this winter. The house was so costly with the open fire place. We really enjoyed staying at Michael's. It has such interesting details in its appointments: paintings and prints on the walls and the decoration in general. Wonderful week stay

We had a family trip to Litchfield County and Micahel's propertu was wonderful. The grounds were gorgeous: the pool area is beautiful; the shaded patio area was great for outdoor dining, even a fire pit for making s'mores! The house itself was spacious, comfortable and very well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed, bedroom very comfortable, and plenty of living spaces to spread out. Michael, the owner, was readily available and made everything easy. We had a flawless stay.

Charming Converted Barn

Super cozy barn, beautifully converted tastefully decorated. Owner was extremely helpful and responsive and provides a fantastic guide to the area. The house is well equipped — kitchen, games, tech. Great for a family — all 3 bedrooms have their own bath. Would love to return in the summer when we could enjoy the beautiful setting and pool.

Chic Country Home

From the moment you arrive at this property, you will know this home is loved. Enormous hydrangeas billow over boxwoods that greet you as you approach the dairy barn turned country house; transformed from its origins whilst retaining its charms. All rooms have been decorated in upscale yet comfortable finishes and furnishings. Cozy blankets and pillows abound in both common areas. The eclectic art collection truly raises the bar. The bedrooms and baths are well stocked with beautiful linens and toiletries. The grounds have lovely plantings and the pool area is so relaxing. and the perfect spot to swim or enjoy drinks at the end of the day. Michael was a pleasure, making sure our every need and whim was anticipated. His recommendations for exploring the area were perfect. I concur with other reviewers the beauty of this home is even greater than photos can convey.

A warm and cozy "home" away from home

To say that our stay was wonderful is actually an understatement! This home is so warm and cozy with just the right amount of elegance. We spent a very happy and long Thanksgiving weekend in November - our family (children and sweet fuzzy dog included) felt right at home in the lovely home, with comfortable bedrooms meant to be lazy in, and Fall-spectacular surroundings. In addition, Michael and Stacey were very accommodating, always available to answer questions, and attentive to details. I would highly recommend this beautiful home for your next foray away from home in Litchfield County.

Stacey and Michael's house is truly wonderful.

Our stay was lovely as Stacey and Michael's house as it is like a warm embrace. Since it is their "home" it is thoughtfully decorated and comfortable. We had the fireplace going every night, as we had a fall chill in the air, and Michael had it set and ready for us to use with plenty of fire wood on hand. We definitely will be back because the house sits on a great piece of land with the forest behind and the neighborhood is really quiet. Pack your bags and book this property because it will not disappoint!

polished New Yorkers create a perfect country retreat.

At the risk of creating competition for scheduling my future visits to this lovely property, I must say that the property is stunning, the decor is super comfy, eclectic, and chic. All the views are beautiful, especially looking at the changing times of day from the master bedroom. The view of the pool is also gorgeous, but it was too chilly for us to use. I sadly only stayed for two nights, and hated to leave. The owner was totally accommodating, helpful, and eager to make the stay as easy and comfortable as possible, even recommending nearby restaurants. We loved it, and will certainly go back.

A former art director, I now work as a gardener in NYC. I genuinely love being a host and am only too happy to share all that I know about the area and, of course, the property.

This property comprises the old barn and milking parlor of a large farm that sat on the south aspect of Looking Glass Hill. In the 1980s, after laying fallow for decades, it was purchased by a reknown interior designer and renovated as a summer home. The bones of that renovation are what makes the interiors special. I retained most of the woodwork and simply elevated the rustic aesthetic. The siting is simply wonderful. On a hill, with the most gentle of slopes, facing south, the property feels like a your own compound.
