Atemberaubende Kicking Horse Mountain Home 1 Stunde 45 Minuten von Banff und nur wenige Schritte von der Gondel entfernt. Das Haus bietet bequem Platz für Paare, Familien oder 9 Singles mit Zimmern auf allen drei Ebenen. Es gibt drei Badezimmer und drei Schlafzimmer mit geteilten Kingsize-Betten und zwei Nischen für Familien oder Alleinreisende. Darüber hinaus befindet sich in der obersten Etage des Hauses ein privater Loftbereich mit einem Dachfenster, einem Fenster mit Vogelperspektive und 3 Einzelbetten. Der offene Wohnbereich und die offene Küche eignen sich hervorragend für Gruppen und bieten einen wunderschönen Holzkamin, Natursteinböden und einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Berge. Der private Whirlpool ist ideal zum Entspannen nach einem Ski- oder Mountainbiketag.
Die untere Ebene verfügt über einen Kinoraum und einen großen Aufenthaltsraum mit Boden- und Aufhängefläche für die gesamte Ausrüstung sowie eine praktische Tür direkt vor der Tür.

Das Kicking Horse Mountain Resort verfügt über mehr als 2800 Morgen Skigebiet, über 120 Abfahrten und liegt nur 14 km außerhalb der Stadt Golden. Das Resort ist leicht über den Highway 1 zu erreichen. Der Berg verfügt über eine Hochgeschwindigkeits-Gondelbahn mit drei Sesselliften. Weitere Winteraktivitäten sind Cross-Counter-Ski, Heliskiing, Motorschlittenfahren, Eisklettern, Hundeschlittenfahren und Schneeschuhwandern. Zu den Annehmlichkeiten zählen zahlreiche großartige Restaurants, Pubs und Cafés am Fuße des Betrags, ein Restaurant auf dem Gipfel des Berges mit einer Aussicht, die Sie sprachlos werden lässt, und ein Pro-Shop für Ihre Ausrüstung und Mietbedürfnisse. The Comp House

Me my daughter and other competitors in Wrangle the Chute 4star IFSA comp stayed at this perfect house. Everyone staying at the house, throughly enjoyed staying at this house. The kitchen was excellent. The fire every evening brought a warm glow to those rooms. The access to the ski area was excellent. We stay at different houses during Competions at many ski areas during the year….this was easily the best…

Kicking Horse - Ski-In, Ski-Out.

Great location and generally a nice home for a ski vacation. However, furnace was not working when we arrived (no heat or hot water) and took several phone calls to resolve the issue. And we did have to shovel snow for about an hour to clear the lower driveway and deck access to hot tub. Main floor master bathroom had no cold water supply to the shower, rendering it unusable. However, there were two other full baths. Would stay there again if those issues could be resolved.

Off-season Glory

The place is lovely! It is well equipped, clean, and well-maintained. Ski-in and ski-out is available, but we were there during the shoulder season. We certainly enjoyed the shoulder-season for the peace and quiet. The property offers exceptional views, a hot tub and parking. There’s lots to do in the area with hiking trails, mountain biking trails, and easy access to downhill and cross country skiing. The town of Golden offers a variety of dining and shopping experiences with grocery stores, local artisans, clothing and outdoor gear shopping. There are excellent day trips in the area with 40 minute drive to Yoho National Park and Glacier National Park. Leanne is a great host and very accommodating. We highly recommend this location.

Wonderful time with friends in this great KHMR house!

We have been to Golden several times, and this is such an ideal place to stay. Walking distance (or skiing when we have a good snow season!) to the Gondola and restaurants/bars. Lovely neighborhood, gorgeous home, and decks with hot tub and BBQ. The owners are great to work with, flexible, professional and have set the house up well for rental use. The only suggestion I might have is that the grill does not cook evenly so we had a bit of a challenge getting everything ready for the group at the right time. But if that's the only complaint on such a large house with lots to do, then they're doing something right!

Beautiful house but some serious issues!

We rented this house for a long weekend. It is very nice and well appointed. The owner is also very easy to deal with. When the couple that we were sharing the rental with (who had a 6 month old child) went into the basement bedroom, they looked up and there were cobwebs running 1 meter thick across the ceiling out from the back wall (with numerous spiders). That ran the entire length of the room. It obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We phoned the cleaner/maintenance person provided by the owner in our rental documentation and asked her to come and clean it. She said that she would be over shortly. Two hours later nobody had arrived and the person wouldn't answer their phone, so we had to use an industrial vacuum to suck all of the webs off the ceiling. The maintenance person never came or called back. We decided to trudge forth and enjoy the rest of the weekend, which we did until we were packing up. When the other couple was collecting things out of the downstairs room used for their baby, they saw a mouse running around the playpen. Obviously, this shocked them and immediately caused them to panic about mice being around the baby without being noticed until the end of the weekend. We contacted the owner to let her know about the issues and she apologized and said that many of the other properties in the area had already had mice issues. However, she made no attempt to refund any $ or offer any future rental discount for the issues. We rent through VRBO all the time and ensure that our communication, payment, property care etc. is great for owners. Given the challenges, we would have expected this owner to understand that our experience with their property wasn't up to standards, and at least try to right the situation with us considering the valid issues we had.

Great space, too hot in summer

This is a very nice house with plenty of bathrooms and beds to accommodate a large group. Unfortunately we rented in the summer when it was in the mid to high eighties and there are no shades on the windows to keep the sun from heating up the house.

Beautiful chalet

Great location and mountain! There were 7 guys with us and we all had our own beds. There were still beds empty. The chalet is large with three floors and a loft. The basement is nice and seperate if you want your own space. I Would recommend staying here.

Perfect Ski Weekend Getaway

The place is very nice, lots of space and beds for all guests and a full kitchen/dining/living area for hanging out. It's a short walk to the end of the street and a 2 minute ski to the gondola line. Would recommend it to groups looking to ski Kicking Horse

Great home

Beautiful home with tons of beds. Great location to the kicking horse mountain. About 15 min drive to town. We had a group of 9 guys with still 3+ beds left over. Just show up with your food and clothes. Leanne was great to communicate with. I Would book this again if I had a large group going to kicking horse.

Perfect location and amazing spring skiing

This property could not be any better for our family of six. The location works extremely well for ski in making it easy to take breaks when needed. The house had everything needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all that we needed to prepare our meals. Favourite parts are the wood burning fireplace and the hot tub which are big bonuses to come back to after a day of skiing. Walked down to the Pub one night for dinner which is a quick walk. Will definitely be back!!

Fantastic location!

Rundle House Mountain home requires Maintenance and TLC

This was once a lovely home but has been neglected and not maintained. It needs a thorough cleaning and attention to the many things that need to be repaired or replaced. Until all of these issues have been addressed, I would not recommend renting this house.

Great house and location.

Had a great time at this house! The entire process from booking to entering the property to departure was extremely easy. Great house that had plenty of room for everyone to space out and relax. I would go again.

We built the Rundle House which continues to be the place where we build memories with our loved ones while enjoying everything the Canadian Rockies has to offer. Before returning to Canada, we lived in Amsterdam and worked as an interior architect. Today we live in Calgary full time and feel blessed to have access to this winter wonderland. In addition to skiing while in Kicking Horse , we enjoy the snowshoeing, sledding & cross country trails right off our doorstep.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Peter and I were both involved in the original development of Kicking Horse, he with the Dutch development team and i as the interior design consultant for the Eagles Eye Restaurant and various other buildings and residences. We have literally been there since the beginning when there was only a stake where the gondola was going to be built! Living in Amsterdam while we planned the house provided inspiration for multiple use spaces and the blend of Rocky Mountain & modern Scandinavian design details. The lot was chosen for its incredible ski access and the great views off the front deck. The children will tell you that the LOFT is definitely their favourite part of the house!

Staying in the house ourselves with various friends, family and business associates we have planned the house to have an intimate feel and be a fun gathering space, whilst still providing spaces for everyone to have access to privacy and quiet time. Attention to detail like high quality cooking supplies, reading lights throughout and 5* star mattresses is what i do in my work and provide guests of the Rundle House!
