The property's location was convenient, situated just a few miles from Broadway's main attractions. While I can't make many comparisons to other properties in the area, the house was clean and well-organized. The neighborhood felt safe, despite my limited knowledge of the surrounding area.Several issues prevented me from giving this rental a five-star review. First, communication with the host was problematic. I didn't receive check-in instructions or directions until less than three days before arrival, and the host took over 24 hours to respond to my messages. When they finally replied, they disclosed ongoing major construction outside the house—information that had apparently caused previous guests to cancel. This should have been communicated well before the 48-hour mark before check-in.While the construction (located at the front of the house) didn't significantly impact our stay since the bedrooms were in the back, other issues arose. Throughout the first night, I was repeatedly awakened by loud train noise. Upon investigation, I discovered the lower part of the window wasn't properly sealed—a DIY fix involving screws had failed, allowing outside noise (including birds and pedestrian conversations) to filter in clearly.Additionally, though the house rules stated black hand towels would be provided for makeup removal (with warnings about charges for stained regular towels), no such towels were available on the property.
