Gut: Sauberkeit, Check-in, Kommunikation und Lage
Hoped for much better based on the listing.
My partner and I chose this place for the views and the perceived privacy when looking for a place for a few nights near Lake Arenal and La Fortuna. From the listing photos, it looked wonderful…like a relaxing paradise with beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, there was no relaxing. Instead, we were amidst a loud construction area with a structure being built right beside the property, which was not only loud and disruptive starting as early as 6am, but the crew had a direct line of sight to the hot tub on the deck. Our romantic trip turned into two days of going back and forth with the property manager (who was very responsive and cordial) to try to resolve this and multiple other issues. A couple of things were out of their control, but there was a propane leak in the stove, which was rather concerning. We ultimately left a night early and got a hotel in La Fortuna to enjoy the rest of our vacation in a more relaxing atmosphere. This place has a lot of potential, but manage your expectations for privacy and peace and quiet, at least until that construction is complete.
