How would you like to stay right on the canals and just across the street from the beach? You can enjoy this perfect location in this lovely condo. Located on the 2nd floor (accessible via elevator), it offers views of the canal and swimming pool area. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and accommodations for up to 8 guests, it’s ideal for families with children.

Let’s start with the kitchen: while it may be compact, it’s fully equipped with modern appliances and all the necessary utensils, making it easy to prepare delicious meals. The dining area features a dining suite that comfortably seats up to 6 people, perfect for family meals together.

Just beyond the dining area is the living space, which includes two comfortable sofas, a small armchair, and a flat-screen TV for entertainment. A large glass patio door allows plenty of natural light to flow in and leads to a screened-in patio area.

The condo features two bedrooms: the master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has one single bed and a bunk bed with a single on top and a double on the bottom. If you need extra sleeping space, there’s also a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Santa Maria Harbor Resort is a fantastic getaway, located across the street from Fort Myers Beach on a peninsula of Gulf-access canals. Here, you can take a fishing trip, relax with family, swim in the Gulf, barbecue on the deck, or watch dolphins and manatees from the docks. The resort offers spacious floor plans with living and dining areas, private screened balconies, a heated swimming pool and spa, and a 36-slip harbor. Plus, a beach trolley stops right outside Santa Maria, taking you to Lover's Key Resort and other nearby destinations!

Awesome Vacation

Wonderful place! Loved the entrances and the open air. Only small things that need updating- ice maker in freezer didn’t work (but there is a large ice maker on the ground so we used that, it was great). Towels could be updated… getting warn / stained. We were happy for the beach chairs and sand toys!

Absence of handicapped parking

The property is well furnished and comfortable. and the complex is nicely landscaped Our only criticism is the lack of accessible handicapped parking. While the condo building has an elevator, we were expected to use the third floor parking garage with no elevator. There were only three ground level parking places with handicapped signs and those were usually filled. We managed the best we could do for the four weeks we were there as the front desk was no help. There are no assigned parking spaces for each condo and one night we tried for 45 minutes to find one before being allowed to park in the loading zone in front of the building until 8 am the next morning.

Wonderful

We have stayed at Maui banyan many times ..and this was a good find and backup to our regular unit. Clean, lots of added bonuses with newer beach chairs and full kitchen, updated washer and dryer and easy accessibility. Only thing suggest is bring your own beach towels, unit has some but thin and saturate easily if you are a beach or pool goer!

Great stay in Kihei

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. More than big enough for the two of us. Some things were slightly dated (Maui Banyan is now 30 years old) but overall very nice. Perhaps a little pricey but we booked late. Management company was fabulous to work with - a minor issue was dealt with immediately and communication was ver quick.

Maui Sunset destination!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was very clean and had everything it listed on the web site. Very easy to work with them and would do it again in a heartbeat. Walking distance to many food and shopping areas. Directly across the street from the beach and had a beautiful sunset every night. Quite location even with the complex being rather large. couple of pools and grilling out areas to enjoy.

Nice owner to deal with!!

Nice location in the Banyan. Quiet except for the Garbage truck in the morning, but you should be up by that time!! Most everything you will need for your time at the beach. If you cook alot, everything you may need. The owner is a sweetheart, quick to get back to you. Overall a great unit.

Overall a good vacation spot

I stayed here in H-408 Sept. 2017. Overall, I Iiked it. There are some issues. Note that it has no real view. One can kinda see the W. Maui mountains, the ocean not much due to palm trees blocking the view. You can’t see Haleakala at all. There is no air conditioning in the bedroom, and NO flow-thru ventilation to take advantage of trade winds, so you're forced to leave the living room's AC on if it's hot. No exhaust fans in the bathroom or kitchen either. The kitchen + baths have been nicely upgraded in H-408. Sadly, the refrigerator's icemaker doesn't work (or it isn't installed properly). Any utensil you need is here. All these units have those 1970s "Popcorn" ceilings. These don't bother me much, but some will whine about them. In this unit, the upgraded Kitchen + bathroom incandescent lights are WAY too bright and generate lots of unwanted heat. The Kitchen table + island are a little too big for this condo, making it feel more crowded than it should be. The island is handy for cooking though. My biggest Maui Banyan gripe: The lanai is very narrow (maybe 36" wide) and you can’t even put your feet up on the outside edge because of the glass. What were they thinking when they built these? An extra foot or two is all it needs, but it appears the few units that have enlarged lanais are that way because they moved the ext. wall into the interior - not a good compromise. Like most condos, you can't hang towels over the rails on the lanai. OK, but where DO you hang them to dry? There are no hooks to hang up wet towels out there. In fact, there are no hooks in the bathrooms either. It's baffling the owners haven't installed something so inexpensive + handy. Oh - My daughters often banged into the glass shelf that is in the bedroom bath's entrance - it couldn't be in a worse location! It’s just a matter of time before somebody breaks this, hopefully they don't get hurt. BTW: there are only two beach towels & two useable beach chairs in this unit. SUMMARY: The good: Plenty of closet space. Having 2 baths with nice showers is awesome. There is ZERO road noise in the H building and further back, and no rooster noise (a minor miracle for Maui!). Even the garage noise was less than I expected. Wi-fi was an easy setup and worked well. I liked how the Banyan has a shower out in the street entrance to rinse off. Best of all - walk to a good beach across the street! The bad: the constricted lanai, lack of ventilation, small pools here.

Didn't get to go

I wish I could write a great review but unfortunately we didn't get the pleasure of staying here. We didn't get to make our trip to Hawaii as I got really sick the morning we were scheduled to fly out. I definitely plan on staying here the next time we go. I had family members stay here and say it was great.

Great location

The property was perfect, clean and in a central location. It was nice to always get a parking spot close to the entrance. A beautiful beach right across the street and walking distance to food and shops. Inside the condo had everything you'd need to cook meals. The bed was really super soft and comfy. Two bathrooms were nice for getting ready before heading out for a day of exploring!

The property was ok. Master bathroom shower did not work properly neither did toilet in main

Although I received an email regarding check in information I could not access any info on the email and had to rent a room the first night. Tried to get hold of vrbo contact but was unsuccessful until next morning. Once we were moved into the condo we noticed the master bathroom shower was not working. Contacted owner but plumbers weren't available for three days. Had to turn off all water to condo. My husband ended up replacing the broken part. We asked to be reimbursed for the first night and parts for the shower and although owner agreed we were not reimbursed. I have tried repeatedly to contact them through email but they have stopped responding to me. Also the toilet in the main bathroom was leaking and we had to shut the water off to it as well.

Fantastic Condo - Favourite of the 6 we have stayed in!

OK we loved this place and we have been staying at the Banyan for 2-5 weeks a year since 2010. We booked this year for almost a month and a half. We have always had nice places to stay, but this unit is our favourite to date for many reasons: Jenny so great communicating and so nice to work with. She really couldn't be friendlier and made the experience very easy and smooth in all ways. All condos we have stayed in were nicely appointed too, but none had the amount of space for clothes, great showers, wonderful view and a really comfortable sofa bed (never encountered a comfy one before and our 6'3" 16 year old boy found it to be great!). Generally, I had preferred facing the pool side in the past, but much preferred our view this time, as the condo is on the 4th floor of unit H and gave a view above the parking garage to the water. We also could see the mountain to the east. It really was a nice surprise with the view and we loved waking up and going to sleep to this beautiful view from inside the bedroom too. The entire experience is fantastic and although I hate having competition for this unit in the future, I need to highly recommend this beautiful unit and kind, helpful owners to anyone searching for a great place in beautiful Maui!

I would definitely stay here again-

This condo was one of the best I've had the pleasure to stay in. Wonderfully quiet and cool, with a combination of fans and air conditioning. Also enjoyed having a well stocked kitchen. Could have used a water filter pitcher and the ice maker didn't work in fridge. But that was workable-

The condo was great, supplied with everything we needed.

Everything was clean & comfortable. We would definitely stay here again & recommend this condo to others. We love staying at the Maui Banyan, this was our fifth stay at this property, the grounds, pool, BBQ's, etc. are kept immaculate. The condo itself was one of the nicer, updated ones we've stayed in.

Great Home Base

Just like home!

This was our 2nd time staying here. It was one of our shortest trips, only here for 8 nights, but loved it all the same! The lockbox is super handy, and the bed is quite comfy. There is a cooler, an umbrella, chairs, towels for the beach. Lots of miscellaneous spices in the cupboard, along with some tea, sugar, coffee to get you thru the first morning. Soap, tinfoil, sponges, garbage bags, etc are all there for you as well. Location is great~ main building, far away enough from the elevator but not too far. 5 min walk across the street to the beach. Superb location! Some suggestions I would make: -update the chairs/umbrella (nothing broken, all in working order) and to pick up some plastic dishes for use by the bbq. Jennifer (owner) is awesome to work with. There is a reason we came back for round 2! Hoping round 3 can happen sooner than later!

Great Sleeps Cool Condo

Spent 9 nights in the lovely condo. Had friends in 4 other units in the complex and they were all jealous of our unit. All pictures are very accurate. First of all I like the idea of a lockbox. No worries about remembering keys and carrying them around. The unit is very nicely updated and all was as promised. Most important were the beds. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable for my "older" back. The pullout had by far the most comfortable mattress I have ever felt on a pullout couch. My daughter was so happy as those mattresses can sometimes be a disaster but this one was great. Kitchen was very well stock with all the needed utensils. Best out of all the friend's units we rented. Lots of cleaning supplies, garbage bags, ziplocks etc.. Little stuff that really helps. Rarely had to use the AC with the two really strong ceiling fans and breezes off the ocean. Five great BBQ's at the nearest pool to our condo were very helpful. Always cleaned and ready to go.Have snorkelled all over the island and found some of the best right at the point between Kam II and III right across from the condo site. Lots of fish and turtles every time. As mentioned in other reviews the wi-fi was great and always worked. TV's were just fine but the weather was too nice to do much of that. Only thing missing was maybe a small music player with plug ins for ipods etc. All in all a great stay and highly recommended to anyone.

Repeat visitor

I have rented condos through VRBO before in the Maui Banyan. This unit is SUPER! The pictures presented represented the condo perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked, excellent pots and pans and especially frying pans, pyrex containers with snap on lids were great. There were many "extras" including spices , tin foil, soaps etc. The bed and linens were super comfy and provided for restful sleep. The boogie boards and beach umbrella and cooler were a bonus. WiFi works perfectly. The owner was so awesome and prompt with responses to questions. All and all a great time. Thank you so much for the priviledge of a 3 week stay in your condo. Will highly recommend to others.

Old folks on their first trip to Hawaii

We found the condo well designed and comfortably furnished - especially the bed! We particularly appreciated the fact that it has a northern exposure which meant it was perfectly comfortable without air conditioning. The kitchen was well stocked with the exception of the can opener which was broken. We are physically active and it was nice to be able to walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. We were with friends who had a car and a condo in the same building so the parkade was very convenient. If we ever return to Maui we would look for this place as first choice.
