Das Sea Lavender Cottage in der Mitte der Küste von Maine ist bereit zum Genießen! Nur wenige Meter von der Great Salt Bay in Newcastle entfernt. Dieses kürzlich "geprägte" Cottage bietet kreative architektonische Akzente, einen umfassenden Stil und Annehmlichkeiten, frische Möbel, die sowohl funktional als auch skurril sind, neue Geräte und Einrichtungen sowie ein Erscheinungsbild und eine Haltung, die zu einer entspannenden Auseinandersetzung mit allen Salzwasseraktivitäten der Natur einlädt und inspiriert in Maine erste marine geschützte Ressource. Sie teilen diese natürliche Schönheit mit Adlern, Fischadlern, Blaureiher, Seetauchern, gelegentlichen Seehunden, prähistorischen Pfeilschwanzkrebsen, Austernfarmen und im Frühjahr über einer Million Alewives, die am Dock vorbeikommen, um im Süßwasser des nahe gelegenen Damariscotta-Sees zu laichen. Die allerersten Gäste sagten, dass sie jeden Sommer nach Maine kommen, um alle einzigartigen Aktivitäten der Küste von Maine und ihrer Dörfer zu erkunden und zu entdecken. Dennoch fanden sie Sea Lavender Cottage so komfortabel, freudig erfüllt und emotional erfüllend, dass sie nicht jeden Tag abreisen wollten, außer die Kajaks zu starten und sich der Schönheit der Bucht anzuschließen. Jetzt sind Sie dran...

Sea Lavender Cottage wurde 2016 von den Eigentümern des Beckoning Bay Cottage gegründet, das 2009 eröffnet wurde. Beide Cottages waren in der Hauptsaison fast voll belegt, hauptsächlich mit wiederkehrenden Kunden, und es gab viele begeisterte Kritiken. Mit diesen beiden Häusern auf benachbarten Grundstücken haben mehr Menschen die Möglichkeit, den Charme der Mid Coast Maine, die entspannende Umgebung der Great Salt Bay und den nahe gelegenen Zugang zur US Route One zu genießen.
Der MBR ist extra groß mit einem Kingsize-Bett und einem eigenen Bad. Der zweite BR ist weniger geräumig, hat aber ein Doppelbett und ein direkt angrenzendes Vollbad.

Perfection

We loved our stay at this cottage. It had a beautiful waterfront, location, with bright big windows and a gorgeous view from everyone. The decor and comfort of the home is the best we’ve ever stayed in. There are many luxuries to enjoy and comforts everywhere you turn. The owner, David, is very accommodating and even offered us an early check-in and a late check out so we could extend our stay. He was gracious and helpful, but also respected our privacy. A nice touch was every morning when we woke up, the driveway had been freshly salted. A wonderful experience and I would highly recommend.

We were very pleased with this vacation rental. Everything was exactly as advertised and the house was very clean. We cooked or grilled every night - the kitchen was well equipped. Simmons Seafood is a few minutes drive away and had fresh seafood. We will be staying here again!

Wonderful stay

Amazing property, even better than the photos. Dave is a fantastic host and it was truly a wonderful stay. We had nice weather and really enjoyed going out on the deck to enjoy the sun. Also played lots of pool and the sun rise in the morning is breathtaking. We will hope to return soon!

Peace and quiet

My friend Val and I were looking for some serenity for a few days and we found it in Newcastle. The views from the house are magical and watching the wildlife interact with the bay was just fantastic. I cannot think of a single negative to share and we plan on going back in the spring.

Weekend getaway

We were two couples visiting the area for the Damariscotta Pumpkin Festival. David’s house was amazing - a beautiful view of the river, immaculately clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The weather didn’t permit us to use the kayaks or spend as much time out on the deck as we would have liked, but we enjoyed the indoor space and the pool table in the basement. David lives in the carriage house in the property and personally welcomed us and gave us a tour and showed us how everything worked. He was flexible with his usual checkout time of 10:00, which we felt was unusually early and allowed us to stay until 11:00. Our weekend stay was a real treat.

We Hated To Leave

This cottage is so charming and comfortable and the water view is delightful. Dave is the perfect host, immediately attentive to any questions or problems. We also appreciated the cheese, wine and English muffins and coffee that he left for us. We managed to try most of his restaurant recommendations and they were spot on. Damariscotta is only a mike or so away with cute shops, good restaurants and a fabulous Hannaford’s Grocery. I hope we can return soon!

Wonderful vacation

We love Sea Lavender, it has all the comforts of home from AC to a washer and dryer. The deck is a great place to relax with a glass of wine and watch the eagles, osprey and herons. The owner, David is a wonderful host, very helpful if there are any issues. Hope to return next year!

Welcoming Oasis

From the first moment Dave, the property host, personally met us and showed us around, you just knew you were in for a special stay. Dave welcomed us with a gift basket filled with goodies and a nice bottle of wine. But you could see immediately the property was the star of the show! The cottage was decorated with very relaxing colors and comfortable furniture and very whimsical pieces of art that just make you smile. Than you step outside onto the deck and see why this is an oasis of wildlife…..Bald eagles, ducks, Canadian geese, blue herons and other marine life. The view is unobstructed and what a view it is! Whether watching from the deck or trying the kayaks that are available, you won’t be disappointed. I would definitely recommend this property for all to come and relax.

Joyful, Peaceful Respite

Our stay at Sea Lavender Cottage was so very special. You can tell immediately on entering that it was lovingly designed for comfort & peaceful respite. Full of light & ambiance, with spectacular views from all the windows. Every little detail you could possibly think of thoughtfully in place. The deck is a joy & watching the sunrise from there is beyond beautiful. We saw eagles every day across the Bay, plus many other sea birds. On our arrival we were greeted by the owner. A cheerful, charming gentleman, who gave us a tour of his home & answered all of our questions. Then made himself available if we had any other needs. David, thank you for sharing your special place. A Mainer––who spent 42 years "away" attending college, serving in the Navy, as well as a career with non-profit educational/medical institutions. Returned to live with the ocean, the values, and the charms of coastal Maine, its people and visitors. Now retired, but active in community volunteering, travel, and recreational aviation as a pilot and plane owner.
