Easy drive to town, great views. Very quiet! The only problem we had was there was dog hair on the couch and pillows and they out the home . Unfortunately we are allergic to dogs and so we were sneezing most of the time that we were in the house . But other than that it was a great stay and view was fabulous! It’s a little bit older than what the picture portray .

Great location

The property was nice. The location is great. It is quiet, and we had access to the garage. I felt the property was a bit overpriced for the quality. Some things were very nice, and others needed maintenance. The caretaker was nice and easy to communicate with.

Luxury Get Away In The Mountains

My wife and I rented the house in September 2014 and 2015, and were very happy with both the house and the setting. The house and views actually are just like the pictures show. Everything in the house works well. One of the challenges was to avoid wasting away the day sitting on the deck looking down the valley. Modern kitchen, very comfortable living room, dining table for twelve, and a giant master bedroom with private bath. The master BR has two sliding doors that open directly on the deck. A large hot tub sits at the deck, and is perfect for night sky watching. The house is far enough from town that it's quiet and isolated, yet getting to town is only a ten minute drive. No problem with neighbors. Multiple hiking trails are a short drive. Mad Creek is just a five minute drive, and a two-mile hike takes you back to a natural pool in the mountains. I highly recommend it.

This house was the perfect size for what we needed and the right location!

The caretaker was awesome with responses and our needs. It fit perfect for what we needed and the hot tub was a bonus!

Rented a house, not a condo, for peace and quiet after wife had knee surgery.

We thought renting a house would give us piece, quiet & PRIVACY! Traveled from Montana for wife to get knee surgery. But there's a guy living downstairs. With a dog that barks. Had to ask to turn music down. No blinds so no privacy. House needed cleaned, switches, knobs need whipped. Dog hair. The guy was nice, but we should have been told about him BEFORE you took our money. Not worth what you charge.Tell people there's a guy living there. We would not have rented if we had known about him. I am a builder and went around with a screwdriver and WD40 and worked on the (antique) knobs inside so they worked right. Easy things here but total lack of maintenance. No pride in the product that is being sold! Felt like a hotel room with the white towels and little soaps and shampoo. Laundry left in dryer that we needed to move before we could dry ours. Bathtubs not draining. Get a snake or hire someone so you aren't standing in ankle deep water. Kitchen looks like it was re-done but some of the cabinet doors will not stay open. My wife did property management in Sun Valley and this place would not get a second look there. Renter BEWARE!

Amazing mountain winter retreat!

Caretaker lives in basement but is not a problem for privacy at all... He has is own entrance. If I come back I will definitely try to get this house again. Nicely remodeled 1970's Era house with wonderful views and spacious living area. Perfect for skiing or a summer outdoors adventure base.

Quite retreat in the country but very close to town

Stayed here with my wife and 2 adult sons. This was a great location to return to after a a day of hiking. The house was clean and spacious with a great deck overlooking the ski resort in the distance. Located just a few miles north of town made it convenient to both hiking trails and downtown restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a very nice house with nice views

Nice updated home with awesome Views hot tub was awesome internet and directv worked great Tim was very helpful and friendly. We eat at the Roadhouse the last night the food was amazing. We went north on 129 every day so much to see up to seedhouse Rd and all the free range cows was cool.

Perfect For Us-September 2017

The website info is very accurate. Nicely remodeled large 3 BR home. It has a more spacious feel than what the photos reveal. Kitchen is loaded with quality utensils/items. Terry cloth robes for everyone. Very private location. Caretaker who lives in lower level stays out of the way, but is available for special needs. Would rent the house again. GAC

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Excellent home away from home!

The house was so accommodating for our group. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful sunset view through the picture window in the family room. Our comfort and needs were met and the house manager was extra friendly and helpful.

Fantastic views

We were very comfortable during our stay. The view from the deck was lovely as was the hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of our cookware needs along with some basic spices, teas, and oils. The caretaker of the house ensured we had plenty of fresh, filtered water and made a high chair and pack n play available for our little one. One evening, horses were wandering around the neighborhood after hours which delighted our kids. The caretaker has an apartment in the basement but he made it a point to be away for the duration of our stay so we had the property to ourselves. The fireplace gave off a strange gas odor so we didn't use it. If you plan to stay here and have little ones, do bring some play things for them. While the house had a small library of kid's books and a few games, there wasn't much else. Location was close to town.

A wonderful fishing week

This place is set up perfect. The grounds master is super helpful and the place has everything we wanted. Privacy along with a really well appointed kitchen. Comfortable in every way. Great views. The hot tub is great as well. Minutes from town so everything is easy.

Fishing retreat

This place was perfect for our annual fishing trip. The kitchen has everything a cook could want. We cooked in every meal and really enjoyed the layout of the kitchen. We also used the grille often during the week. We really enjoyed our time in the comfortable living room and outdoor spaces. The hot tub was also very nice. The on site property manager (Tim) is very helpful and friendly. The beds were also quite comfortable. The place is well maintained and very clean. A perfectly private setting for groups or families, but minutes from downtown. Really wonderful views from the picture windows and decks. This place is perfect for groups up to 8 in size. A quiet location with great ambiance and amenities. I will definitely consider coming back!

This Home Has It All!!

Our family has stayed here several times and it is spectacular with incredible views everywhere you look. The location is amazing...nestled on a three acre hillside we watch the sunsets, listen to the elk bugle, and revel in the nighttime sky while enjoying the hot tub on the wrap around deck. This comfortable home has everything...fully equipped kitchen, roomy, comfy bedrooms, and a warm, rustic great room for the family to gather by a roaring fire after a day on the slopes or walking the paths on the nearby trailheads. We love being close to town but also near all the outdoor activities the beautiful Steamboat area has to offer. We cannot wait for our next return visit...this is definitely our number one choice for vacation rental homes !!!

Amazing property

My family recently stayed here for a few days and it was perfect. The house is very nice and spacious. Linens, beds, towels all that stuff was comfy. We soaked in the hot tub & saw the stars and also cooked on the BBQ one night. This property sits high on the hills and the views are out of this world. Tim, the on-site manager, was great. We always felt we had our own personal space, but he was there when we had a question or needed help. He mentioned he is a private chef too, but we did not have a chance for him to cook for us...maybe next time. We've stayed in alot of places in Steamboat and this house was a special experience for us. We will be back! Thanks

Amazing Location and Home!

This house could not be in a better location. It's just far enough outside of the city that you feel like you are tucked away in the mountains, but close enough to downtown that it's a quick trip in. The porch was my favorite spot to sit and enjoy the sunset or mountain storms rolling in. The hot tub is perfect for star watching and unraveling after a long hike. If you don't feel like driving into town, the kitchen is perfect for cooking and enjoying a family meal. I could not be happier about staying here and I will be returning soon! Thank you!

Fantastic Property-Great Location!

My family and I had an opportunity to book this rental for a week-long ski trip and had an amazing time! After a convenient flight into Hayden airport, we were dropped off via Alpine Taxi at the rental property and were astounded by the views and accommodations. We got to experience our own private ski house/oasis with surrounding views of the mountains with the convenience of being a short distance away to downtown and the ski resort. We couldn't have been happier and can't wait to book our next trip!

Beautiful home

We have been lucky enough to stay at this home more than once, and have loved it each time! The deck views are stunning, whether you're in the hot tub or the master bedroom, living room or outside enjoying the fresh air! The kitchen is open and perfect for entertaining! Great place, easy access to town and a nice little mountain drive to get back home!
