Entdecken Sie dieses einzigartige gelegen und schön eingerichtetes Ferienhaus in den Wäldern gelegen auf einer Insel vor der Küste von Maine. Dry Cove Cottage ist in einer grasbewachsenen Lichtung von hohen Erlen und Tannen, in der ruhigen, schönen Wäldern von Deer Isle, Maine gelegen umgeben.
Diese rund 760 Quadratfuß Hütte bietet einen offenen Grundriss auf der ersten Etage mit einem Wohnzimmer und Küche mit Sitzgelegenheiten für 5 um eine Insel. Im Wohnzimmer finden Sie ein Sofa zu finden, und zwei sehr bequeme Liegen zum Entspannen und Relaxen ein. Es gibt einen 42 'Flachbildschirm T. V. Kabel, mit einer DVD für Ihre Bequemlichkeit. In der Küche finden Sie alle notwendigen Geräte Sie benötigen, um Ihren Urlaub zu einem Kinderspiel zu finden. Für Ihre Bequemlichkeit ist auch ein AM / FM / Cassette / CD-Spieler zur Verfügung.
Wir glauben, dass der beste Teil Ihres Aufenthaltes sollte mit einem erholsamen Schlaf zu starten! Alle Betten sind mit Top-Modell der Matratzen ausgestattet. Im zweiten Stock finden Sie ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queen-Size-Bett und ein zweites Schlafzimmer mit einem erwachsenen Größe Etagenbett und einem Einzel Twin-Size-Bett. Zusätzlich zu den Schlafzimmern, vollendet ein Vollbad in der zweiten Etage dieses geräumige Ferienhaus.
Unsere Besucher sind oft so von der ruhigen, freundlichen Schönheit Deer Isle verzaubern, dass sie bleiben "auf der Insel" für den gesamten Aufenthalt. Andere wählen, um die vielen anderen Insel und die Küstengemeinden in der Nähe zu erkunden, von den Inseln Isle au Haut, Vinal Haven, und North Haven und der benachbarten Blue Hill Halbinsel nach Bar Harbor und Acadia National Park. Dieses Ferienhaus ist der perfekte Ort, um sie alle zu erkunden. Wir sind ein vier Jahreszeiten, die wöchentliche Miete mit jeden etwas zu bieten.

Slice of Heaven

I stayed in this sweet little cottage for 8 days with my dog, Zion. It is the perfect place for your fur family. Zion realized when I packed up the car that we were leaving. He cried (part Husky) in my ear for an hour to let me know of his displeasure! We took a walk on the property twice a day and he loved it. The cabin fit my needs well. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. I had a friend vacationing in Florida (Tampa Bay area) at the same time and the TV worked well to keep an eye on his weather. We will definitely be back.

Serene setting ... minimal amenities

This cottage, with its cabin-like atmosphere, is exactly as described, but I would advise prospective renters to pay close attention to the photos. The interior is furnished in a bare-bones manner, with no lamps in the bedrooms and no rugs anywhere. The living room furniture is limited to the large, soft 'man cave' style, with no side tables or reading lamps. The main downstairs area is roomy, but there was no table to supplement the kitchen counter. Families wishing to play games together might be disappointed. There is ample space for a table in front of a sunny window so remedying this would not be difficult. There was only a single working lamp, and the 2 others were falling apart. Essentially, there is a lot of potential, but what is apparent is a lack of attention to everyday comfort. We are 2 retired adults and found the lack of good lamps for reading a problem.

Peaceful but Convenient

An out of the way peaceful property but close to all needs. Absolutely beautiful area. If you are looking to totally relax onsite and be close to activity this home is perfect. Ricky is a very attentive host- I called upon arrival and departure, and he picked the phone right up. Definitely on my short list to return and enjoy the property and area again!

Very Sweet Alternative to staying at Haystack

Pro’s: I really did like the with regards to Haystack, it was an easy 10-15 minute drive. Bed was comfortable and shower was sufficient. Loved the directv as well. Kitchen had everything you would need, including seasonings and plastic wrap etc. Cons: No a/c, no laundry, could use a thorough cleaning, especially shower and side of fridge. I would stay here again, but maybe not in mid-July. Host was easy to reach. Had to leave early suddenly due to unexpected work issue.

Perfect vacation

Ricky's cottage was far better than we expected. We had the most peaceful vacation I can remember. Waking up to birds singing, deer grazing outside, clean and well kept property, and Ricky was more than willing to accommodate our needs. Oh, and seafood everyday! We stayed on the island the while time exploring, hiking, and just watching from the pier.

Our whole family enjoyed this clean, well-appointed cottage, located inland, within a short drive of everything we wanted to do, from hiking to riding the mail boat! Our dog loved it too! peace and quiet

The online listing needs to have the Spa/whirlpool removed as a feature. That was disappointing when that wasn't there. The shower needs a new showerhead. Other than that the house was very nice, clean and quiet. Deer Isle was beautiful and the people were very friendly. We enjoyed the time we spent there.

Peaceful and Secluded cottage on a beautiful Island

My family and I really enjoyed our stay on Deer Isle. The cottage was everything we expected from the description and more. My favorite part was sitting on the front porch with my coffee and listening to the wind in the trees. Our dog enjoyed the stay as well. The cottage was secluded enough that she could roam freely and be safe. We contacted the owner once before we traveled he answered right away and said if we needed anything to call. We needed nothing. The cottage was clean and the property well kept. It’s alittlle more than an hour to Acadia and Bar Harbor where we spent two of our days. The island was nice because it did not have the crowds of Bar Harbor.

Peaceful

We spent a lovely, relaxing week in this cottage. Everything we needed was available. Each day we explored different areas, from Blue Hill, Stonington, Castine and even the Sow's Ear winery. Hiking at Acadia, Barred Island and then spending quiet time watching the fireflies from the front porch. A great time!

Very quiet area. Nature was all around

House from start to finish was a great house. Love the loft area with the bedrooms. This house is also great to entertain company. We were thinking we had to go back and stay there every year we visit Maine from here on out. We had deer walking through the front yard every morning. Great location!!

Perfectly wonderful!!

We absolutely loved the Dry Cove Cottage that we stayed in last week. It was exactly like the pictures, and included everything we needed for our week-long stay at Deer Isle. We enjoyed the area immensely, and can't wait to return! The cottage was cozy, private, and just what we wanted in a rental. Our dog, Ella, absolutely loved it! Can't wait to go back. Thank you!!

A fun (and cozy) vacation!

Our first impression of Dry Cove Cottage was how beautiful and well-kept the grounds were. Inside the cottage was a very rustic feel, and a very spacious living area on the ground floor. The upstairs was a bit more cramped, in particular the two bedrooms. The Cottage was perfectly located for our group to go on a different day trip each day of our vacation--Bar Harbor one day, a Farmer's Market on Deer Isle another, and hiking along the coast? You can't beat it. The positives by far overshadow the negatives, but a couple are worth mentioning. As mentioned above the bedrooms are small and lack closet/storage space, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase! Secondly, although the kitchen is perfectly serviceable, the kitchenware and utensils could probably stand updating. We all had a fantastic week, but none so much as our dog who had the best week of her life. She loved running around the property off-leash and taking naps in the shady grass. Thanks for a wonderful vacation, and be sure to visit Nervous Nellie's Jams and Jellies on your trip!

Dry Cove Cottage Awesome

Stay was perfect, awesome location to ocean, seemed like every half mile another great view could be seen, local food was unbelievable, scallops were incredible, loved the Fishermans Friend. The cottage was perfect and owners were extremely accommodating, great piece of mind having our dogs with us not having to worry about how they would fare at the kennel, layout of cottage was perfect, boys loved the open floor plan and the balcony, bunk beds, what more could they ask for. Thank You for an awesome vacation!!! Hope to stay with you again for years to come. Enjoyed so much that considering moving upon retirement to area absolutely beautiful!

Wonderful private location!

Idyllic setting for people who love their privacy! Beautiful surroundings with a deck where the sun moves around and the chairs are light-enough weight to reposition anywhere! Clean, well-equipped cottage, efficient kitchen, and very nice owners who are exceptionally accommodating! Close to many good eating places in Deer Isle and Stonington and a haven for art and gallery lovers! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, especially our 90 lb golden/mix who didn't want to leave!

A great place to stay

Our first trip to Maine and I am sure not our last. The cottage was clean and comfortable. There were three of us so it worked perfectly. It was close to town yet far enough away for a private retreat. The owners were very helpful in answering our questions and offering suggestions. We had a great time visiting Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Baxter State Park and of course just exploring Deer Isle. The people we met were very nice and the restaurants amazing. We look forward to our next visit!

Nice place to rent and stay.

A group of us used this house to do some sea duck hunting for a week and had a great time. The owner was easy to get a hold of for questions and the place was very nice to stay in. We would stay here again!

Want secluded and private, this is for you!

This is the perfect getaway for anyone who loves their privacy. The house is so secluded you could make all the noise you want and no one would hear you. The sounds of the wildlife and breeze in the trees lull you into a relaxed frame of mind. It is centrally located which makes it very easy to get to Stonington, Deer Isle, Blue Hill and all the outlying areas. The house is very nice with an open floor plan and the kitchen comes equipped with everything necessary to cook if you so desire. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning and it was so very difficult to leave, we had such a great time getting to know the locals who were GREAT! Lest I forget, one of the best parts was our doggie vacation, they were in dog heaven being able to run free and explore the woods. We took them to beaches where they could swim as well. When our pets are having a great time so are we!

This Island is famous for there lobsters, Our lobsters are harvested year round by our Independent lobstermen. Stonington is known for it's abundance in supply of lobsters and shipped all over the world. Lobster Nutrition Facts (Courtesy of the Maine Lobster Council): As delicious as Maine Lobster tastes, it's hard to believe that it's actually a healthy protein. Once for ounce, lobster is actually lower in calories and fat than skinless chicken breast! For those watching their cholesterol, lobster is comparable to skinless chicken breast.
