Das Leben ist ein Strand in diesem charmanten historischen Haus im Herzen von Amerikas letzter Heimatstadt, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von der Bucht, dem Monterey Peninsula Recreation Trail und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Innenstadt von Pacific Grove entfernt.

Das 1908 von Benjamin Barber erbaute blau-weiße Haus ist perfekt für Surfer, Kajakfahrer und Strandläufer geeignet und verfügt über eine skurrile Einrichtung an der Küste mit hawaiianischem Flair, Holzböden und kleinen elektrischen Kaminen in jedem Schlafzimmer. Die hintere Terrasse mit Tischtennisplatte, Feuerstelle, Gourmet-Gasgrill und Sitzgelegenheiten auf der Terrasse ist ein idealer Treffpunkt für Familien und Freunde. Flexible Schlafgelegenheiten bieten Platz für bis zu sieben Singles.

Die lichtdurchflutete Residenz mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2,5 Bädern befindet sich in der Nähe vieler Sehenswürdigkeiten und ist nur wenige Minuten von der Innenstadt von Monterey, Fisherman's Wharf und dem Monterey Bay Aquarium sowie 10 Minuten von Carmel-by-the-Sea entfernt Pebble Beach und 45 Minuten von den Naturwundern von Big Sur entfernt.

Bei Ihrer Ankunft werden Sie mit kostenlosen Vorspeisen und Wein oder Sekt, Eintrittskarten für eine Weinprobe im Verkostungsraum von Scheid Vineyards in der Innenstadt von Carmel-by-the-Sea und einem Korb mit lokalen Informationen begrüßt. Ein zugewiesener Concierge-Ferienhausmanager steht Ihnen während Ihres Aufenthalts zur Verfügung. Wir haben auch Wellness-Annehmlichkeiten in den Bädern, Bademäntel und Strandausrüstung bereitgestellt.

Das zweistöckige Haus verfügt über eine Küche und einen Essbereich auf der obersten Ebene sowie ein Wohnzimmer, eine kleine Höhle und Büroräume und viele küstennahe Details wie Kunst zum Thema Meeresleben. Muscheln und Seesterne finden Sie überall mit pflegeleichten Holzböden und Fliesen.

Die Küche bietet Küchengeräte aus Edelstahl, darunter einen Gasherd mit vier Brennern, und viel Ablagefläche. Der Esstisch kann auf sechs Personen erweitert werden. Platz zum Arbeiten oder zum Beantworten von E-Mails finden Sie im Büro direkt neben der Küche neben einer Halbbadewanne mit Meeresmotiven.

Das gemütliche Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen elektrischen Kamin und einen 48-Zoll-HD-Fernseher sowie ein Schlafsofa für zwei Personen. Das Wohnzimmer führt zu einer Höhle mit einer Dartscheibe und Platz zum Entspannen und Lesen sowie zwei einzelnen Futon-Tagesliegen. Der halboffene Grundriss macht es zu einem großartigen Treffpunkt für Familie und Freunde.

Die geschützte hintere Terrasse ist auch ideal, um nachmittags zu grillen oder abends Cocktails zu genießen. Sie verfügt über Außenlichterketten, eine Feuerstelle und eine Tischtennisplatte sowie ein Cabana-Zelt und Sitzgelegenheiten auf der Terrasse.

Die Schlafzimmer befinden sich im Erdgeschoss. Das Hauptschlafzimmer bietet Zugang zur Terrasse und einen separaten Eingang. Das Zimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett mit Kopfteil, luxuriöser Bettwäsche in Blau und Weiß, einen elektrischen Minikamin und einen 48-Zoll-HD-Fernseher. Das Bad verf��gt über einen großen Spiegel, ein Einzelwaschbecken und eine Kombination aus Badewanne und Dusche.

Zwei weitere Schlafzimmer teilen sich ein Vorraumbad mit verglaster Dusche und Einzelwaschbecken. Ein Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Einzelbett mit ausziehbarem Bett, das andere über ein Tagesbett mit ausziehbarem Bett, das mit einem Memory-Foam-Topper in ein Kingsize-Bett umgewandelt werden kann. Beide Schlafzimmer bieten auch HDTVs und Mini-Elektrokamine.

Auf dieser Ebene befindet sich auch ein gestapelter Waschtrockner. Die hintere Terrasse bietet Platz für Strandausrüstung. Auf der Straße können bis zu zwei Fahrzeuge abgestellt werden.

Gut erzogene Hunde sind nach Zustimmung des Besitzers willkommen.

Nice weekend stay

We enjoyed our stay here. It was older house but overall clean and well-appointed. No on-site parking so that could be a challenge, though we didn't have to park too far away. It's small and close to neighbors, but it was quiet. Close to shops, restaurants, grocery store, so we walked quite a bit.

Comfortable house, great location

We stayed in this house for several weeks for a work trip. The house had a good layout, well appointed modern kitchen, comfortable living area, and we appreciated the washer/dryer. We found the bedroom with trundle small for two adults, but it would be fine for kids. Location is great, just a short walk to Lighthouse Ave. Agent was very responsive and helpful.

Do not stay with sanctuary vacation rentals

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We got to this house and there were a host of issues: plumbing issues in the basement, washer and dryer not working, and various small maintenance issues. The property management company takes a while to respond, even when there was a huge leak created by their maintenance person. They added on extra charges without notification. Save your time and money.

Close to everything! I parked my car on arrival, and didn’t get in it again until it was time to leave. Lovely home, well maintained, with all the supplies we could possibly need. My young grandsons especially appreciated the available games.

Nice! Clean! Good Vibes! Parking...

We were in town for a work convention, and our group was in and out a lot. This home seemed to be built for us! It is in the perfect location! Not too far from Monterey but far enough it was quiet. The only downfall is parking. I had a 15 Passenger van, and the darn neighbors would block me in, or we had to park a block away at times.... But what are you going to do when you park on the street.... overall a great location. House had good vibes. Parking sucks!

The house is nicely decorated. Every detail is thought out. It is lovely and welcoming. We arrived to a bottle of red wine and a personal greeting. There is a Nespresso machine in the kitchen. Bring your capsules! Very quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to Lovers Point! There is an apartment building right next door but it did not bother us.

Very well maintained, cute home.

The home is very cute and well maintained. The room sizes were a little smaller than envisioned from the wide angle lens pictures. Sleeping 8 would be kind of a stretch, unless several of those are small children. Overall, though, the location is great, and we enjoyed easy walks to the beach and evenings by the fire pit out back.

Great house Great Location

This was a great house for our family. The house was exceptionally clean, the wine and cheese were an added surprise. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of towels, plenty of beach towels, we loved the outdoor fire. My granddaughters enjoyed the wagon ride to the beach. The stairs is quite steep, especially if you have a toddler, however we just put up a road block in front of the stairs. We would definitely come back here again.

AAAAAAAAAAMAZING!!!!

What an amazing home! My wife and kids were so amazed at how lovely and cozy this home is! Super close to everything, less than a 3 minute walk to downtown Pacific Grove and all the wonderful restaurants, especially loved the International Cuisine, highly recommend it! We walked to the aquarium and Cannery Row on Saturday had lunch at Bubba Gumps, great view and food. Sunday had breakfast at First Awakenings also walking distance, rented bikes and rode to the Monterey Pier and got a Jamba Juice on Alvarado St. So in a nut shell, we couldn't have possibly found a better place to stay, no more hotels for us in Monterey we'll be staying here! ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Cozy house!

The house is very well kept and has everything to make your stay enjoyable. You do not have to bring anything. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare meals for the whole family. It also has beach supplies: umbrella, beach towels, beach toys for the kids, etc.... My teenagers also loved the board games. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. My only complaint would be that the backyard is too small and not very welcoming, just concrete and not garden. But overall it is an excellent choice in Pacific Grove.

Stayed there between 29 June - 2 July, 2017

We were two families getting together for a reunion with kids. Unfortunately, our experience was very bad. The first night the bed in one of the rooms was creaking and we were unable to sleep. The shower in one of the bathrooms was broken and spilled water allover the bathroom. We complained to Sanctuary Rentals, the property manager and they fixed the same the next day. The next day the commode in one of the bathrooms was not working and we were not able to use the bathroom at all. With 8 people in the house and only one usable bathroom, this put us into a lot of inconvenience. We complained to the property manager again but this time no one showed up to fix the bathroom. Neither did someone call to update us or apologise. We also realised that the soap dispenser was broken. We payed a huge rental for three nights with the expectation of a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the house is old and every part, especially the bathrooms, seem to be giving way and require lot of maintenance. We regret staying here and feel cheated esp. since we paid a fortune. Alas, this rental spoilt our vacation. We hope the company refunds our money or at least gives us a 50% discount since the property was nowhere close to advertised. We would suggest prospective customers to stay away from this property. Nilesh Kothari

Can’t Wait To Come Back!

Can’t Wait To Come Back! My husband and I stayed here with our 2 grown sons and their wives. We stay in hotels fairly frequently, so we wanted somewhere more like "home". We rented this home and loved it! Everything we needed (and more) was thought of and provided from kitchen to bathroom. There is an awesome fire pit and gazebo we enjoyed with a glass of wine in the evening. The guest book had restaurant suggestions, locations of grocery stores, lists of Dr's and baby sitters. The beds are very comfortable and the neighborhood nice and quiet. I had the pleasure of running along the coastal trail every morning, and we could walk nearly everywhere in town. The aquarium and Cannery Row was less than a 15 minute walk. We will definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this property, you will be greatly impressed.

The best vacation home in Pacific Grove, CA!!

This home is just a stone's throw away from beautiful Lover's Point and only a couple miles away from the world famous Cannery Row. If you are into bike riding it is only 3 miles down the coast to 17 mile drive or you can walk right into town with all of the shops and wonderful restaurants. At night, it is so quiet, you can hear a pin drop. The sunsets are breath taking and the ocean makes your camera seem like you are a professional photographer. I cannot wait for my family and I to rent this home again with its quaint patio, very relaxing, and private canopy and fireplace. The kitchen has everything you would expect at home and the rooms have the coolest space heaters I have ever seen. I cannot wait to go back.

3729 Ocean Park Sanctuary is the best vacation home we have ever stayed in period! Words cannot express how happy my family and I were with this home! We truly felt like it was something of our own and not a rental. We will most definitely stay here again in the not so distant future! The home is close to coffee shops, restaurants, cute shops and even a bakery!! Lovers point and the ocean are very close as well. We cannot wait to come back to 3729 Ocean Park Sanctuary with our family. If you're looking to stay in Pacific Grove you won't want to miss your opportunity to stay in this home. Seriously one of the most peaceful and relaxing vacations we've had! Cannot wait to make even more memories at this vacation rental.

For the money this was a very funky, run down neighborhood. It was a plus to be close to Lthouse Av.

The beds were ok but the 2nd shower is a joke--hardly big enough to turn around and the sliding door falls off the track. All 4 of us had to use the Master tub/shower. The BR are all in the lower level--somewhat musty and no dressers for unpacking. The water filter in the fridge not working--assume that's why they provide bottled water. Too expensive for the quality of the neighborhood. Adding pets will just make the place funkier--just lower the price and expectations and maybe find more takers.

Golf weekend in Monterey

This is a great place located in downtown PG! Although our stay was very short and we didn't stay in the house much, we enjoyed all the amenities the house had to offer. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay while in the Monterey area.
