Our Story:
Initially envisioned as a children's play structure, Kalptaru evolved into a family sanctuary. It was used as a weekday office and weekend retreat for movie nights, sleepovers, and cherished moments.
Sharing the Magic:
Inspired by friends and family's enthusiasm, we decided to share Kalptaru's beauty and charm. We invite you to experience its tranquility—relax, recharge, unwind, and connect with nature!
Sustainable Roots:
Built-in 2022, designed and crafted by Michael Murphy and his crew (Barefoot Treehouses), Kalptaru embodies eco-friendly principles:
- 70% of lumber sourced from property trees, milled on-site
- Siding crafted from 140ft tall Western red cedar
- Interior walls featuring maple wood planks
- Artistic branch railings for safety and aesthetics
Whimsical Touches:
- Handwoven net structure under the treehouse by Sarah Jay (Dream Nets NorthWest) for relaxation and play. Bring your book or sleeping bags!
- Spacious deck with eagle-nest railings (completed September 2024) perfect for camping, stargazing, meditation, and yoga.
Main Level:
- Ramp access to the main level
-Relax in our inviting living room with plush revolving chair and sofa bed (converts to queen bed)
- Counter space featuring:
•Coffee POD machine

•Mini refrigerator
•Sink with running water (cold only)
•Work area with tall task chair, monitor and Mic-Enabled Webcam (Logitech)
Loft (Sleeping Area):
- Accessible via steep ladder (please note)
- Sloping roof with varying heights:
The tallest side a little over 6 feet and the shortest side is about 4 feet
