Diese komfortable Ferienwohnung mit einem Schlafzimmer im Carlton House wurde kürzlich renoviert und möbliert. Die Ferienwohnung in der 2. Etage befindet sich in Carlton Terrace, einer der elegantesten Pflastersteinstraßen in Edinburgh, in erstklassiger Lage, nah an den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt und berühmten Aussichtspunkten wie Calton Hill & Arthur's Seat. The Royal Mile und die Princes Street sind beide nur 10 Minuten Fußweg entfernt.
Die Lage der Ferienwohnung an der Rückseite des Gebäudes sorgt für Privatsphäre, Ruhe und bietet einen Blick nach Süden.

Lokale Umgebung : Wenn Sie aus der Vordertür von Carlton House treten und auf London Road Gardens blicken, ist es schwer zu glauben, dass Sie nur 5 Gehminuten vom lebhaften Restaurant- und Vergnügungsviertel im East End von Edinburgh sind. Das Playhouse Theatre, wo die neuesten Musicals und Shows aufgeführt werden, ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt und die Kaufhäuser Harvey Nichols und John Lewis können ebenfalls in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß erreicht werden. Perfect Stay in Edinburgh

We had a wonderful stay at this flat in Edinburgh! The location was absolutely perfect, within walking distance to many sights, restaurants, and shops. The flat itself was well-appointed with all the amenities we needed for a very comfortable stay. Everything was clean, cozy, and just as described. It truly felt like a home away from home. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh and would love to stay here again in the future!

This was my husband and I first trip to Scotland and we could not be happier with this place. Perfectly located, so many places that are just a short walk away. Ideal apartment

This apartment must be one of the best we have ever stayed in: Mark's taste in furnishings, his attention to detail and quality are simply excellent. The location too is ideal - Holyrood, the Old Town, West End, Stockbridge, the New Town can all be reached on foot and, although Carlton Terrace itself is really quiet, there are good shops, pubs, restaurants nearby. Altogether: a superb place to stay.

Quality Edinburgh flat

Quality fittings make this flat a pleasure to stay in. From the Denby pottery to the beautiful prints and comfy bed, it has everything you need to make the stay enjoyable and with the added benefit of views to Arthur’s Seat. Mark was a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend staying here. **Note: there is NO on-street parking during the day in Edinburgh without a permit, unless you want to move the car every 4 hours (except on weekends when parking is not metered). Given that the flat is 30-40 minutes walk into the Old Town, moving the car is not really feasible. The only option is a multi-level at £26 per day.

Stunning location. Wonderful property

The apartment is fantastic. The photos really don’t do it justice. The rooms are large, beautifully furnished with gorgeous period features. It is superbly well equipped and extremely comfortable. Edinburgh is a stunning city but it will require summoning all your resolve and determination to leave the apartment each day. The location is also excellent - equidistant (about 5 mins walk) from the start of Princes Street and the Royal Mile. We loved our stay and Mark was a superb host responding to queries really quickly. We cannot wait to return!

Elegant, Comfortable & Convenient

Marks apartment is one of the nicest we have stayed in for a number of reasons. It was not furnished cheaply or with castoff furniture, dishes, art. It felt like you moved into someone actual home. The apartment was spacious, well stocked & everything worked well. We wanted for nothing. A shout out about the foam pillows as they were the best of our travels though Mark had another option as well. The location is close to food, wine & beer shops as well as bakeries. You do have to carry your luggage up 3 flights of stairs. If you don’t mind walking Old town is a 20 minute walk away & New Town is even closer. Our son & family lived 2 minutes away which was very handy for the late walks home. We hope to rent here again when we return to Edinburgh & recommend you rent it as well.

Lovely apartment in great location

The apartment is lovely as pictured, spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything you may need. The one "BUT" are the stairs. There are a lot of them and no elevator. For those whose health may be the least bit compromised, this would certainly be an issue. I feel that this aspect of the rental should be posted up front for full disclosure. Having said that, if it had been in the description I probably would not have rented that unit.

The height of excellence

Height and excellence are both operative here. We are Americans and 2nd floor to us is the 2nd actual floor, not the second floor after the ground floor. But, take away the body and cardio building climb to the apartment and everything was perfect. The owner is readily available by messaging or phone and truthfully there is little you could want. It has all the amenities plus Netflix a DVD and a CD player, movies and books to watch or read and a kitchen that lacks no appliances or equipment. The neighborhood is safe, quiet and close to transportation, restaurants, cafes and even grocery shopping. It would have been nice if parking had been supplied since that was a bit of a hassle, but since two of the days we were there were week-end days there was plenty of free parking in front of the building. However, fair warning, during the week (8:30 AM-5:30 PM) it is around 3 £ and hour to park and your are only allowed 4 hours in one spot so you will have to move it several times. My suggestion, since a car in Edinburgh is NOT an advantage, fly or train in and use the very good bus service to get around. I would stay there again in a heartbeat - something I mamanged to get up quite high on the way up the steps.

Perfect town accomodation - quiet ,comfortable and cosy. If I had to find any ‘fault’ it would be that the stairs were a fair hike for an older individual. But don’t be put off , it’s a gem.
