Check your running water as soon as you arrive

Property is very nice but as soon as we arrived we noticed a disgusting smell coming from the running water (smelled like rotting eggs). Told the owner who clearly didnt think it was that bad or urgent because she didnt bother calling a plumber during the 4 days we were there. Outside of that, there were no major issues but it was not fun showering in "egg salad" water the entire stay. Asked host for a small credit to which she responded "I expected more of u". So theres that.

Hudson home

This was a really nice place to stay for a getaway weekend upstate. Beautiful view of the Hudson. Not too far from New Paltz. Pool was amazing as it was very hot the weekend we were there.

Great location for a trip to upstate

The owner who lives just upstairs was great and communicated well about our arrangements. We used both units for a family wedding trip and it was clean and the pool was up and running even early in the season. The view from the backyard is great as well. The location has lots of vineyards and restaurants not far away and we were able to get Uber drivers to the home to help with our stay. I'd definitely use this location again if I have the opportunity to travel to the Hudson area again.

Awesome get away to Hudson Valley area on the Hudson River

We were super comfortable in our cozy apartment that included all the amenities we could have wanted, including half n half for our coffee and a nice chilled bottle of wine! The view from the terrace looking out to the Hudson River was exquisite with the added bonus of being able to see the Vanderbilt Mansion. We did a lot of hiking, which was the reason we traveled to the area. Camille even let us in on a local gem of a trail. The pool was such a welcome amenity especially after hiking for hours!! Peace and quiet, lovely property and view, convenient location!! Thank you Camille!!

A Gem on the Hudson

This eclectic little gem is convenient to Kingston, Poughkeepsie, New Paltz, Hyde Park, etc. Great salt water pool and fully stocked kitchen, with all the fixings for s’mores! But the star of the place is Camille, our host. She really puts the sparkle onto this gem. She is so kind and helpful and a real character (I say this in a NICE way!). Don’t hesitate to book a stay here when you visit this area.

Great Weekend Girls' Trip!

Was in town for a weekend girls’ trip and really enjoyed our stay here! Camille was very accommodating and friendly, even got a chance to chat with her one night while sitting by the fire pit. Lovely person! The pool/outdoor area is fantastic and had a great time hanging out there during the day. The location is not too far a drive from New Paltz and you have a great view of the river out back. Was able to fit in time for hiking, a winery visit, hanging by the pool as well as dinners out in our 2 days there. I would recommend that you either use your own car to get around or plan further in advance than normal if you plan to Uber/use a taxi service. Not so much a suggestion based on the house, but the area in general. We had a hard time finding Ubers for 4 people, but perhaps we just had bad luck or cabs haven’t bounced back from Covid-related supply and demand issues yet.

Lovely Home on the Hudson

This was our second visit to this property. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you might need. Camille is a wonderful hostess and made us feel right at home. The view from the deck really sums up the entire place - such a gorgeous spot for a fall weekend. Walking distance to Red Maple Vineyard - highly recommend - this place was cozy and had everything we needed for a fantastic weekend. Especially loved the firepit when it got chilly at night!

Beautiful spot and friendly owner

My now fiancé and I stayed at the VRBO for the weekend and it was an phenomenal time. Camille is a sweetheart and did a very good job at making us feel at home and made everything seem less. The view from the pool deck is memorizing and the setup is awesome for relaxing and partying. Restaurants in the area are awesome with multiple orchards and wineries. We ended up going to a beautiful restaurant and coming back to the VRBO and got engaged right on the property overlooking the water. This is a beautiful place and will be forever in our hearts. We will be back

Perfect getaway

Camille was the best host that anyone could ask for. The property was beautiful! The view, the house, the apartment, the pool, and the scenery around was very pleasing. My family had a wonderful time there enjoying the pool and bbq in the yard. Needless to say, this trip has saved our summers that was being threatened by COVID19 and we have Camille to thank for!

An Oasis 🤩The most incredible stay!

My partner and I had the most incredible stay. Camille was great at connecting ahead of our trip and while we were there. Book this stay for the hospitality alone. Camille has created an incredible oasis in the middle of the Hudson Valley. The apartment was spotless and included an extra santizing basket. Traveling during a pandemic is stressful enough, but Camille keeps her spaces clean and gorgeous. The view alone is enough for make you come back but I felt so welcomed by her. She will give you space but is an absolute delight to chat with. Now-that pool is soo breathtaking. It was like staying at a private resort with other all the amenities of our stay. I can’t wait to go back. Camille was so lovely and her home is just soo lovely. This was the perfect stay and we can’t say enough about it! Do yourself a favor and book this place.

A Little Piece PD Heaven

I stayed at this house on the River for almost 6 weeks and can’t say e ought good things about my time there. The spot is perfectly located if you are looking for a City escape. Every day, I swam in the pool, went for a hike, ran on trails or the Rail Trail bike path, or went out for a bike ride. It was heaven to be able to be on a trail with a nearly empty parking lot within minutes of the house. The apartment has everything I needed for a long term stay and was big enough for me to spread out and work without feeling cramped. I even had friends over a few times- they were so jealous! The host, Camille, is a doll. She will give you as much space as you like, or welcome you in like a family member inviting you to join her for dinner. The house is right over the River and, although most days were sunny, brief rain was always followed by the great of a rainbow over the River! I saw eagles from the pool deck and the Vanderbilt mansion is right across the River. There are cute markets within a few miles away and the ice cream shop is a must go! I can’t say enough great things about this home away from home!

We stayed in this lovely apartment for a weekend while visiting our daughter at Vassar. Beautiful views!!

Wonderful heated salt water pool with a slide overlooking the hudson valley was absolutely breathtaking! We also loved sitting around the firepit at night making smores. We enjoyed many local sites. Camille is a wonderful host and made sure my family was very comfortable. Thank you so much for the delicious homemade sauce you gave us. We would definitely love to come back.

Had lots of fun at this place

Great back yard patio with large, heated salt water pool with slide overlooking the Hudson. Very nicely decorated and host was always available to answer questions, but left us alone for the weekend we were there. We went out to local restaurants to eat but didn't want to leave the house!

Beauty On the Hudson

The Location was excellent easy to get to Key places and not drive too far. We loved the view of the Hudson, the trains and the pool. We were very comfortable in the downstairs. We spent 90% of our time outside in the evening after returning from a fun day out and about. Camille offered us privacy as she is a busy lady and was gone both nights. There are excellent restaurants within a short drive. The view is spectacular and the pool slide fun and very relaxing. Camille was a seasoned host, and we would stay there again without a doubt as we loved being on the river.

I grew up in Queens and NYC, and always enjoyed visiting the Hudson Valley and the River. I worked in the Hudson Valley and enjoyed many years of hustle and bustle of Poughkeepsie area. I was fortunate to be the fifth owner of this property which was established in the 1600's. I raised my family here and have enjoyed over 30 years of good times waking up each morning to a beautiful sunrise with my coffee, listening to the many birds and watching the eagles take their morning fly by over the river. Deer do visit the property as well, so don't be surprised if you see a family of turkeys or deer wondering around the gardens and lawn. Every season offers breathtaking views, whether its the beautiful colors of the leaves all around you, the spring flowers, summer coolness or even the ice on the river in the winter you will also fall in love with this beautiful Country Home as I did many years ago!

It offers a unique private area to enjoy great Views of the river, swim in the salt water pool or hang at night by the Fire Pit; simple enjoy the peace and quite of this area. Sit comfortably enjoying the birds, and the many sounds of the Hudson River, while reading a good book, painting a landscape or writing your memoirs or just trying to think clearly and peacefully. The Hudson Valley has so much to offer any traveler, as well as having the advantage of your own backyard to enjoy for the weekend or a nice vacation with everything outside your doorstep to encourge you to relax. Within a short distance are many scenic well marked 2 to 5 plus miles of Trails with Waterfalls for walking or riding a bike. As well as the infamous "Walkway on the Hudson" with extended many miles of walkways/bikeways throughout Ulster/Dutchess/Orange Counties. Needless to say we are known and also enjoy many Wine Tasting and Breweries and the many wonderful hiking trails with waterfalls within a couple of miles to explore, and many farm stands to visit and enjoy.

This property is uniquely hidden off the main 9W Highway, within a reasonable distance from both the train station in Poughkeepsie, (7 mile Cab Ride) or the Thruway, New Paltz exit, (5 mile ride) or Mid Hudson Bridge ( 7 Miles North) It is protected from the road and offers many of the comforts of home including , BBQ, comfortable, chairs and Towels for sunbathing or just sitting around the fire-pit in the evening. On any given night, you will see a firework display wherever you might be looking. The saltwater pool is heated and has excellent lighting within and around the pool to enjoy an evening BBQ, play in the pool or roast Marshmellows/Smores! Trust me, you will truely enjoy all the amenities of this elaxed peaceful piece of Heaven as many guest call it; a great vibe enjoyed by all and you will leave feeling stress free!!!
