Stargazer ist eine von drei Ozean-Suiten von Tide Watch Properties auf der ruhigen Seite von Mount Desert Island in der Stadt Southwest Harbor. Die Unterkunft befindet sich nur wenige Schritte vom Atlantik entfernt und grenzt an den Eingang zum Acadia-Nationalpark am Ufermauer. Sie grenzt an einen Kiefernwald und einen Süßwasserteich, in dem Sie zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zur Vogelbeobachtung und zum Fotografieren von Landschaften finden.

Der Ufermauer ist ein natürlich vorkommender Granit-, Fels- und Felsmauer mit einfachen Uferwegen und Gezeitenpools, die es zu erkunden gilt. Die Unterkunft befindet sich direkt gegenüber und ist nicht weit vom Picknickplatz des Parks entfernt. Vom Balkon des Apartments aus können Sie die Wellen an der zerklüfteten Küste und den Sonnenaufgang über der Great Cranberry Island beobachten. In einer klaren Nacht ist es einer der besten Orte des Landes, um Sterne zu beobachten.

Gleich hinter der malerischen Landschaft nähern Sie sich zwei der vielen Wanderwege von Acadia: Ship Harbor und Wonderland. Jedes ist weniger als eine zwei Meile Wanderung entlang des Ozeans und der Naturpfade. Eine kurze Fahrt von diesen Wanderwegen entfernt befindet sich der Bass Harbor Lighthouse, der seit 1858 Seeleute mit seinem Licht begleitet. Die dramatische Kulisse, besonders bei Sonnenuntergang, ist der Traum eines Fotografen!

GREAT place - FYI, slim kitchen

This condo is great! Very close to Acadia/Bar Harbor, gorgeous view of the ocean right off of the deck, and very cute/well-maintained interior. Only one thing to note: we made dinner (5 adults) at the condo a few nights of our week-long stay and found that the kitchen didn't have any spices/seasonings and only a small selection of pots and pans. We made it work - cooked pasta noodles in two batches, for example, since there was only one mid-sized pot available - but it's something to be aware of if you do plan to cook for a group during your stay. But we would 100% stay in this rental again on a future trip - it was the perfect place to relax after long days hiking and exploring Acadia.

Beautiful

We stayed in Stargazer and it was lovely. The place was clean. The pictures are exactly what you are getting. The view was spectacular. I was very happy we stayed the week we did in July because the unit does not have AC. We didn't need it because we always had a breeze from the coast but a good heat wave might be a problem. The location was wonderful as well. It is out of the way from all the traffic but that means it takes longer to get to the Loop Road. That didn't bother us in the least. We also picked up the Island Bus to go into Bar Harbor so we didn't have to drive and park which was a major plus. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Rental

The Stargazer was the perfect rental for our MDI vacation. We chose to stay on the Quiet Side of the island with our toddler and were not disappointed. Stargazer offers an amazing view of the ocean and we loved waking up every morning to the sound of the waves and ocean breeze coming into the Master Bedroom. The condo was extremely clean, well furnished and had all of the amenities needed for a great stay. Located a short drive from downtown Southwest Harbor and minutes from Wonderland and Ship Harbor trails. We will absolutely stay here again on a future visit.

Amazing

We had a fantastic stay at the Stargazer. The views were amazing. The condo was very clean, well stocked, and met all of our needs. It is close to many amazing hikes and activities, but still in a quiet, peaceful setting. We hope to be back someday!

Fantastic views of the ocean from the decks. Condo was comfortable and clean. Photo does not show the webcam hanging from the second floor eaves of the condo next door. Lovely welcome gift which included a gift certificate to Charlottes Lobster Pound! Very fun & delish. Love MDI!

Awesome place to stay for Acadia

We stayed in the Stargazer building. It is a two-floor condo amongst two others. It is the perfect location right across from the Seawall and a few minutes south of Southwest Harbor. This part of the island is quieter, but still near amazing hikes and the lighthouse. It is about a 30 minute ride to the heart of the park. The property was well furnished and supplied. After not hearing much from the manager leading up to our arrival, the check-in process went smoothly. It has three bedrooms that easily fit our five person family. The kids loved the open floor plan and having their own rooms. This was a lovely stay and one that I would be happy to stay in again.

Perfect for us

The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. We loved sitting in the decks and watching the beavers and ducks in the pond as well as the ocean just beyond. Sleeping with the windows open and hearing the waves was perfect. The only thing we would suggest is adding sharp knives and a cutting board to the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.

Southwest Harbor vacation

this past week. We stayed in the lovely "Stargazer" condo this past week. It was clean and situated across from the Seawall of Acadia. The posted pictures are accurate representations of the space. It was a little tight at night with 5-6 adults, but otherwise great.The property is extremely well cared for, and Dave was informative as well as very helpful. Gorgeous area.

Serenity Beside the Ocean

The minute we stepped inside and saw this view directly out the rear deck, we knew we were going to love our stay here. Peaceful, quiet, great views, starry nights. We also loved the matching deck off the 2d floor master bedroom, with sounds of the ocean lulling us to sleep. Comfortable furnishings and beds, attractive and useful kitchen, all very clean. The property is within 1-3 miles of several coastal hiking trails and the historic Bass Lighthouse; a 5-minute drive to the cute town of Southwest Harbor with restaurants and stores; 20 minutes to swimming, hiking, boat rentals and canoeing/paddle-boarding on Echo Lake, Long Pond and Beech Mtn. We would definitely come back!

Beautiful view

This is a wonderful place to stay in Southwest Harbor! It is clean, comfortable, new and nicely decorated. Dave, Vicky, Theresa and Debbie could not have been nicer. Kitchen is more than ample. We loved being on the quiet side close to the water.
