PLEASE CONTACT OWNER, BIG DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE. 'Vecchio Frantoio' is a bright and spacious air-conditioned two-bedroom apartment reconstructed from an ancient olive mill. Chestnut beams, terracotta tiles and antique stone all in the Tuscan manner add to the character of this comfortable and beautiful apartment. The apartment comprises a master bedroom with double bed, and a second bedroom with the option of either two single beds or they can be joined together to form a double bed. Both bedrooms have their own private bathrooms. There is a spacious lounge/dining room with two sofas, one of which opens to a double bed. The attractive kitchen is very well equipped, light and airy. There are attractive gardens, together with pool, as well as a large park like area with barbecue. (Shared with the other apartments). The beautiful medieval hilltop town of Cortona is only a five-minute drive away or 35 minutes by foot. Beautiful Lake Trasimeno,(Italy’s 4th largest) with its many beaches.

All rates are inclusive of taxes, electrical and water consumption, bed and bath linens, final cleaning.

The apartment Sant’Angelo is located just below the Etruscan City of Cortona in a beautiful residential complex which has been tastefully restored, maintaining the traditional characteristics of the antique oil mill that it once was.

Tres agréable et idéalement situé

Logement très confortable, bien équipé situé dans un ancien cloître. Piscine et jardin très bien entretenus, transats et parasols de qualité et en nombre suffisant. Parking privé sécurisé et logement idéalement situé pour rayonner dans toute la Toscane.

Perfect location

The apartment was perfect, exactly as described and Cath was helpful in answering all my questions prior to our arrival. We spent a week visiting the nearby towns in Tuscany and immensely enjoyed the trip. Would recommend this apartment!

Excellent Base from Which to Explore Tuscany & Excellent Value

This apartment worked just perfectly for our stay in Tuscany. We, for the most part, toured one day and stayed 'home' and rested the next. Good for adults/Good for kids. It is a first (Italian) or second (North American) floor apartment in a condominium apartment complex just outside Cortona. (A five mile uphill walk that is fine for the moderately fit.) There are about 20-25 other units in the whole complex which is very, very nicely maintained - including the pool - and very, very secure. Our 12 year old grandson made friends with several other children his age and had a grand time swimming, playing football (soccer) and volleyball any time we were not off touring, eating or otherwise keeping him away from real fun. We never felt the slightest qualm about letting him go off by himself within the complex. All of the adults in all of the families there tend to look out for all the kids, regardless of parentage. We had lots of room and lots of privacy and two bathrooms gave each of the adults or kids access to the necessaries without any waiting. The galley type kitchen is fine for breakfast and light meals. We usually went out for lunch or dinner each day and had the other meal 'at home'. All of the necessaries are there, as advertised, though some (e.g., the toaster and coffee maker) worked considerably differently from those to which we are accustomed. The air conditioning works just fine and is adjustable and can be turned off altogether if anyone gets too cold. We didn't use the TV or Stereo other than to hook them up and checked that they worked. There was just too much else keeping us occupied. We had such a good time and felt so good there that it would be churlish to complain about anything. So I will offer the following as ways to make this holiday rental better: (1) Provide more than a single set of towels per person. With the pool and with hot, sweaty days it is hard to keep towels clean and fresh. The absence of an automatic dryer and the prohibition on drying clothes outdoors means wet washing drying indoors all of the time. (2) There are lots of wine glasses and coffee cups and mugs, but we kept running short of juice glasses and there were no cold drink or larger tumbler type glasses. (3) Better quality sheets and linens would be nice. Ours felt old and worn. Also, an extra set of pillows for the master bedroom. (4) An extra set of 'Pool' towels for those travelling from afar. We would certainly come back!!

Amazin Apartment

Our family has holidayed in this apartment three times and each time has been a joy. The apartment is part of a beautifully restored olive mill, set among delightful gardens and with a good size pool which has a stunning view of the surrounding hills. It is very comfortably furnished in typical local style and the kitchen has all mod-cons, making cooking a pleasure, especially with the abundant local ingredients. The lounge area has ample seating and plenty of floor space to accommodate kids and their inevitable toys and detritus, and this in turn leads onto a common patio area where you can eat outside in pleasant surroundings. If you are unlucky enough to encounter inclement weather, however, the dining table seats six comfortably. The house suited our family well with two bedrooms and lounge with TV and DVD player which was also helpful at the end of the day with the children.The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens, with ample space for kids to run around in as well as pretty seating areas – there's even a vineyard, lovingly tended to by one of the owners. Location-wise, Cortona – a gorgeous Etruscan town perched improbably at the top of a steep Tuscan hill – is only 5 minutes away, and has many places of historical significance, including an abundance of Etruscan tombs. You can also do a stunning walk to Cortona. Cortona has great bars and restaurants, presided over by friendly locals, and the laid-back 'arty' vibe that prevails, with little galleries and artists' studios round every corner. And if you wish to travel further afield, the autostrada is conveniently located, making it easy to visit many Tuscan and Umbrian towns and cities, for example, Florence, Siena, Perugia and Orvieto. Perhaps the most significant element of holidaying in this part of Tuscany is that you are also close to Umbria and towns like Assissi. So would we go again? Emphatically yes!

excellent location for tuscany

The property was clean and very well maintained. The facilities were excellent. We were met on arrival by the rep and she was so helpful giving us details and tips for the area. The location is excellent as it is within driving distance from the key tourist attractions such as Montepulciano, sienna, arrezo, luca etc. The customer service was excellent and there was very good info on restaurants and other points of interest , in the apartment.
