On the main floor, the kitchen has been fully outfitted with all the essentials & modern conveniences for your in-home cooking experience.

The living and dining space have been tastefully decorated to offer room to stretch out and relax or play a board game with your travel mates. Enjoy some of the original architectural features the home has to offer from the fireplace mantels, the ceiling medallions to the ornate brass door handles. We've taken care to ensure these features remained for all to enjoy.

Each of the 3 bedrooms have been thoughtfully laid out to offer our guests maximum comfort. The bedroom on the first floor, which has a luxurious king bed and a twin size daybed, has an antique armoire and gorgeous full floor to ceiling windows looking out to the front porch with views of Forsyth Park. A full bath is located just down the hall which has a brand new, stand up shower.

The primary suite, located on the 2nd floor, has a striking, 4 poster king bed with plush linens. It also offers a new gorgeous renovated en-suite bathroom featuring a tub shower and a dual sink vanity. The 3rd bedroom is also on the 2nd floor and features a comfy queen bed and a twin size daybed. This room also features a renovated en-suite bath with a stand up shower and free-standing sink. You can also access a small balcony off this room to enjoy your coffee or beverage and watch the tennis match across the street or just enjoy the park scenery.

A laundry room is also on the 2nd floor with a full size washer and dryer for your use.

A full front porch with rocking chairs beckons you to enjoy looking out onto the beautiful park and gaze at how the sunlight dapples through the spanish moss on the centuries-old live oaks.

The dot is a free trolley that picks up just 2 blocks north on Drayton. It runs every 15-20 minutes and takes you up to 1 block away from Historic Bay St. It also comes back down Whitaker and goes past Starland Yard. It's a great, free way to see the city and easily accessible from The Abilene.

Please note: we are located on a main street in a busy urban city. Because of our prime location, you will hear street noise from pedestrians and vehicles. Also, being across from the tennis courts, you will also hear noise from the matches taking place as well as practice sessions. But, they are fun to watch!!
