The Driftless area of SW Wisconsin is home to so many outdoor recreation activities. Go fly fishing on nearby class 1 trout streams, go hiking at Sidie Hollow or the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, or float down the Kickapoo River on a canoe/kayak. Bring your boat or book a trip to fish off the barge on The Mississippi River that is just 15 mins away.
This area of the state is home to more than 200 small certified organic/family farms. You will want to go to the Saturday morning Viroqua Farmers Market (May-October), hit up the Viroqua Food Coop or stop at a number of farm stands and wineries to experience the local goods.
All summer long you can also find local outdoor music in downtown Viroqua, at one of the many parks or on Friday nights at the nearby Pizza Farm.
Truly, there is something for every season. Spring is filled with budding fruit trees, spring flowers and fresh maple syrup. Summer is filled with long days of perfect weather with abundant fresh produce. Fall is filled with harvest- apples to pumpkins- and the spectacular fall leaf colors that paint the ridges and valleys. Winter is winter wonderland glowing in her white dress waiting for you to go sledding and snowshoeing and come back to get cozy around the fireplace with a good book.
This is a once in a lifetime experience that you will want to come back every season and stay every year.
We can't wait to have you stay with us!
