Wish You Were Here is perfect for small families, couples, and furry friends. Located on a private half-acre in between City Hall and The Village, and adjacent to the National Forest, the location offers hiking trails and picnic grounds in a quiet area of Big Bear Lake close to everything you want to see and do. We are a 10-minute drive from Snow Summit. Or ditch the car and walk to the Village and all the restaurants and bars. Sled or swing in the hammock & tire swing in the backyard. Or be on the lake in 5 minutes!
If you're into bragging rights, the cabin was featured on a 2022 episode of 60 Minutes! You will find Brad's books scattered through our extensive library, which will make sense of the episode :-)
Wish You Were Here welcomes you with a combination of new technology and knotty pine interior. It is both rustic and convenient. The cabin has new TVs in the living room and second bedroom, air conditioning (only in summer), central heat and a massive wood-burning fireplace, 500Mbps WiFi on a mesh network, Spectrum cable, bluetooth speakers in multiple rooms, and access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and many other streaming services. Or skip being online altogether to chop wood in the backyard for your fire or chill on the deck and watch the hummingbirds swoop in. The kitchen and bathroom have been completely redone with new appliances and fixtures. We are now also able to offer virtual check in so you can arrive whenever you want, simply grab the key from the lockbox and the house is yours. We're never far away if you need us but don't want to bug you on your holiday!
You'll find everything you need here to entertain family and friends. The deck is the ideal place to relax and enjoy your favorite drink, the sounds of nature and the fresh mountain air. Spend time relaxing in the 36-jet 3-person hot tub, a game on the lawn with a BBQ, or snuggle up by the fire with your favorite book and glass of wine. We have hundreds of books available that you’re welcome to read while you’re here on holiday. During mountain monsoons and snow days, we have a stack of board games, card games, and puzzles to keep everyone happy.
The cleaning fee goes directly to our amazing cleaner. And you are welcome to bring pets, but an extra fee is charged, which also goes to the cleaner.
The entire cabin is yours. Come and enjoy. There is ample parking for 2 cars (but no more!) and the spaces will be cleared of snow in the winter for your arrival.
Early check in and late check out may be available for an additional $25. This must be requested and approved in writing and must not conflict with other reservations or cleaning schedule.

We live in a super quiet neighborhood and know all of neighbors. It's extremely safe and peaceful. Book your stay, hike up to the Pine Knot Trail and say hello to everyone, you're at home here!
