Diese wöchentliche Vermietung ist ein charmantes Cottage mit zwei Schlafzimmern für einen romantischen Kurzurlaub oder einen kleinen Familienurlaub. Es hat eine ideale Lage, nur zwei Häuser von den Geschäften und Restaurants in der Innenstadt entfernt und ist dennoch abgeschieden in einer Sackgasse mit wenig Verkehr oder Fußgängerlärm. Das Cottage verfügt über eine sehr private Steinterrasse im hinteren Bereich des Hauptschlafzimmers mit einem Schirm, Tisch und Stühlen sowie einem Kamin für romantische Holzfeuer in diesen kühlen Nächten. Der große Garten ist schön angelegt und ist ein großartiger Ort für ein Picknick, Gartenspiele oder ein Kinderspiel. Es gibt sogar einen Fahrradständer, um Ihr Fahrrad zu sichern, wenn es nicht benutzt wird. Das Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein hochwertiges Doppelbett und das zweite Schlafzimmer hat eine Reihe von komfortablen Einzelbetten. Das Wohn- / Esszimmer verfügt über einen großen Flachbild-Kabel-TV / Entertainment-Center, einen Esstisch und ein Sofa. Die Küche ist klein, aber komplett ausgestattet mit allen Geräten, einschließlich einer Spülmaschine. Es gibt ein Bad mit Wanne / Dusche. Das Haus verfügt über zentrale Luft. Sie werden das Haus sehr einladend und im mediterranen Stil eingerichtet finden. Mit einem eigenen Parkplatz für zwei Autos abseits der Straße müssen Sie sich keine Sorgen mehr machen, einen Parkplatz zu finden, was in Saugatuck schwierig sein kann. Nur einen Katzensprung von allem in der Stadt entfernt, finden Sie sich überall zu Fuß. Sie werden Ihre Zeit in diesem Ferienhaus und die Leichtigkeit des Zugangs zur Innenstadt genießen und werden wieder zurückkehren wollen. Cozy cottage

My daughter and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at this cute and very cozy cottage. How nice it was to be able to walk to town and explore all the fun shops and great restaurants Saugatuck has to offer! We will stay here again that’s for sure! Great communication with the property owners made us feel like we were family!

Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect. We didn't have pets and didn't notice any evidence that this was a pet-friendly place. It's super clean! Very quick communication with friendly owners. Note: One person in our party has a back condition and felt the 3 mattresses were all very firm. The sofa was comfortable for her to sleep on with her back condition.

Another great vacation

We had another great stay at the cottage. The cottage is just perfect for us and is located within a walking distance of dowtown Saugatuck and is a quick drive for day trips to surrounding communities (Holland and South Haven to name a few). Thanks Gary and Janet - we'll see you next year.

Lovely cottage steps away from downtown Saugatuck

My family of three found this cottage ideal for a short fall getaway early October). The house was clean and stocked with essentials, and the hosts were helpful and kind. We were steps away from great restaurants, fun shops, and a nice playground perfect for our 9-year-old son. Plenty of restaurants and shops stay open in the off season, and we had the beach mostly to ourselves. We’re excited to return to Jan’s Cottage for a full week during the summer season to try out the attractions which were closed for the season, including the sand dune ride and the chain ferry.

Location perfection

Clean, cute, well appointed! Private location close to EVERYTHING! Only a 5 minute brisk walk to any part of Saugatuck. Didn’t have to move our car for our entire visit. Home was clean and hosts were responsive to questions and eager to make sure everything was in place for a perfect stay. I would highly recommend this place.

Jan and Gary keep this property shining clean! I slept very comfortably in the Master bedroom with sheets that are soft as butter. Also ample pillows (a real plus) I didn’t expect so I brought a couple of my own. Town is very walkable and less than a block from the cottage to begin your shopping in downtown Saugatuck. The shopkeepers are very friendly and helpful. Your hosts are available and gracious, enjoy your stay.

Love This Place!!

This was our second stay at Jan's Cottage, and it was just as we remembered it. Check in was easy and the place was clean when we arrived. The hosts are friendly and responsive and you can tell take good care of the property, including a well maintained yard w/sitting area that we would have enjoyed if it was a little warmer outside. It is located on a quiet street that is the perfect location to downtown shops/restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon!

Saugatuck Friends Getaway

We had a delightful time staying at your property. It was just the right size for the three of us and we were delighted at the close proximity to downtown. We would recommend only a few items for your consideration. The faucet in the bathroom is quite squeaky ~ perhaps a bit of lubricant would help. And the couch in the front room is somewhat uncomfortable to sit on...not a deal breaker, just feedback. It was nice to meet you and look forward to coming back to Michigan again! Cheers, Melissa

Wonderful stay to end the summer

Jan and Gary are great hosts and communicators. The house was the perfect size for my husband and I - plus our dog. We anticipated getting in a bit later due to work and holiday traffic, and they made sure to have the AC on and sent clear instructions so we could arrive with ease. The house is in the perfect location, tidy, with nice touches like a comfy bed with extra pillows, fully stocked kitchen, and lots of brochures on local attractions and events. We loved being able to walk to town, on the boardwalk, and within the neighborhood, then come back to the quiet comforts of this home. We hope to be back again soon - Saugatuck is a magical place, and Jan and Gary’s hospitality made it even more special. Thank you!

great location and just right for two

Nice place close to downtown for a City experience while in Western Michigan. Good for a couple or a family with one or two small children. Would recommended for a these type of customers. Saugatuck in August is about the best place to be in Michigan and this home fits the experience nicely.

Adorable Cottage

The cottage was absolutely adorable, super clean and comfortable. Very peaceful little nook, which was so nice. The location cannot be beat, in the heart of everything Saugatuck has to offer. Great Location

My two sisters and I had sisters weekend and this very quaint town of Saugatuck, Michigan The bedding was soft, picture window in the living room, dining room and antique table and chairs big enough to have game night looking out lots of flowers outside. The only recommendation honestly would be to have more relaxing seating…. Sliding doors off of the master bedroom to sit outside in a magical garden. Gary, the owner was wonderful to deal with and made some recommendations of things to do in the area. We had a fantastic time and would go back again.

Jan and Gary owned and operated the Marywood Manor Suites and Cottages for over 20 years. Jan was a licensed Real Estate Broker and owner of a local real estate office for many years. Gary was Vice President of a Fortune 500 office furniture manufacture before retirement. They sailed and lived aboard their 44' catamaran for pver 15 winters in
Florida and the Bahamas. Since selling their boat in 2015 they have spent winters in Naples, Florida.

They bought this cottage because it looked like a wonderful rental cottage and was just across the street from Marywood Manor. The cottage has since been updated with many improvements over the years into one of the more cozy, charming cottages in the heart of downtown Saugatuck

You'll love the location of the cottage just off the downtown business district and will appreciate its' quiet seclusion on the dead-end of Mary Street. You'll also love the intimacy and coziness that is very relaxing. Besides being a romantic get away it is also an ideal cottage for a young couple with small children. With a busy kiddie park just a block away and the nice side yard for lawn games and child's play it works perfectly for kids. The owners also accept small pets as long as the tenant agrees to their Pet Policy. There is a large stone patio off the Master bedroom that has an outdoor table and chairs and a chimenea for providing a cozy fire on a romantic evening of quiet conversation and a glass of wine. This cottage has all the privacy and conveniences as well as being in an ideal location with great access to Saugatuck's shops and restaurants.
