The stay was fine. I had a lot of trouble with the owner who wanted to use another platform for checking in and id the owner, providing a rental manual, check out procedures, etc. It was a very bad experience, and I was disappoin in VRBO that she was allowed to use yet another platform. It was not user friendly and after an hour or more I told the owner I could not and would not use it. VRBO should not allow owners to do this ever. They even wanted pictures of us. This was a very uncomfortable feeling. I've rented almost exclusively through VRBO and was very disappointed in this experience and would have cancelled if it wasn't a non-refundable stay. Eventually the other platform cut and pasted what I needed to check in and texted it to me as did the owner. The place was nice but the kitchen smelled like chicken chow mein and really did not go away. It was stronger when we checked in but I could still smell it when we were leaving. The place was spotless but the icemaker didn't work. A lot of thought went into the unit. There were extra towels which I appreciated. Everything else worked and I just hope the owner gets rid of the extra platform she tries to make people us. Also, we were charged 27 for using a credit card. Really! how else would you pay7 for a VRBO place your renting online. I have never been charged that before when renting online. Unit was lovely and owner put a lot of thought into making sure guests had what they needed.
