LOCATION is key to this rental, as Nellie's is close to many scenic wonders in the Potomac Highlands, including the Trough section of the South Branch of the Potomac River where eagles fly! Nellie's is nestled along the South Branch River with scenic farm and mountain views in every direction. This farmhouse vacation rental offers a truly relaxing escape in an unforgettable setting. With 3 bedrooms, including a king, queen, full, and two twin beds, everyone will have a comfortable night's sleep. The beautifully decorated bathroom features a large soaking tub and walk-in shower. The newly renovated kitchen is well equipped for cooking while maintaining its historic charm. There is plenty of meal seating for the whole family with bar stools, a kitchen nook with a view and an adjacent, spacious dining room table overlooking the property's pond. Guests will enjoy outdoor front and back porches with breathtaking farm views. Local photography adorns the walls throughout the house. Enjoy lots of green space, night sounds, beautiful views, birdwatching, farm life, wildlife viewing, night skies, and the simplicity of country life.

Slice of a paradise, stellar home

Wow what a gorgeous home. The hosts have thought of everything and clearly have impeccable taste. Nellie’s feels cozy and luxe at the same time. The views are phenomenal and the hot tub was soooo relaxing. Gorgeous bathroom and comfortable beds. Everything we could have asked for a more.

Idyllic historic home with stunning valley views

My husband and I had a lovely time staying here. The hosts have paid superb attention to detail both in the renovation of the home as well as the setup to make it a VRBO. The views of the snowy mountains and valley were incredible, and we had a delightful time watching the deer and the birds at the birdfeeder.

Clean & Cozy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this immaculate and beautifully decorated home. The owners have done a wonderful job of keeping the home’s historic charm while at the same time offering all the modern conveniences. We enjoyed movies, puzzles, and games, but the most special memory was soaking in the hot tub while taking in the spectacular farm and mountain views at sunset! It was just what we needed to get away and relax with family! Kelly was accommodating and quickly answered any questions. I highly recommend this property if you are looking to stay in the area!

Everything was so nice!

The farmhouse was charming! The kitchen was stocked with nice cookware and cooking utensils. Coffee grinder for fresh coffee. We brought our own sugar and cream. Wonderful tub! Bathroom stocked with salts and bubble bath.

Breathtakingly Beautiful

The views were our favorite! Such beautiful scenery. The home has been updated and all the decor is so beautiful. The kitchen and the bathroom had everything we would need and all the appliances were so nice. Tons of quality upgrades. The gas logs were nice too. I wish we had time to enjoy the hot tub. Maybe next time!

Stunning Relaxing getaway!

We were in town for a Best friend getaway. The home is absolutely gorgeous! Rustic modern, with beautiful wall art/photos of the surroundings. Fresh flowers! Small touches to make you feel welcome. Kitchen has everything you need. Great coffee bar. One bathroom however it’s huge with a great shower and lovely bathtub. There was a basket with great accessories for a nice relaxing bath!. Host showed great hospitality, was IMMEDIATELY available for questions. Loved the “no shoes” request which obviously contributes to the cleanliness of the home. Overall, it was a great experience and we’ll be coming back soon!

Romney Peace and Quiet

Mother-in-law graduated from Romney back in ‘61 and wanted to revisit her old school. My wife and I found this property just outside of town and we're thankful. It really felt like home. If I had to choose one word to describe the house… cozy comes to mind. It’s just a wonderful older home in really great condition. The property is pretty spectacular too. The morning view of the valley and mountains really goes well with a cup of coffee 👍. Our host’s Kelly and John communicated with us in a timely manner. Kelly also arranged to have some fresh beef- as well as homegrown tomatoes- awaiting us. Both were delicious. If we get this way again, we know where we will be staying. Thank you Kelly and John.

Beautiful Historic Home with Stunning Views and Thoughtful Hosts

We had a wonderful experience at this charming, well-maintained Sears and Roebuck home. The house is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean, and the hosts went above and beyond to make our stay special, even baking brownies to celebrate my wife's birthday! The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking – rolling fields, distant mountains, and fog in the morning that made for a peaceful, serene atmosphere. Wildlife in the surrounding fields added to the magic. The location was perfect for us as well, with the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad just a short drive away. We enjoyed riding the train and plan to explore the nearby town of Romney on our way back home. We highly recommend this rental and would love to return in the future!
