I usually don’t like leaving a bad review but it is all for the cause of letting others know what they quite possibly, would be getting themselves into.
I would like to point out the first issue I had which was the “extra $75.00 pet deposit.” When booking the place, I don’t recall seeing an additional fee with having pets tag along. The evening of the 7th when I booked, I sent the “optional” message of letting the host know what the trip was for. I specified that I would be with 3 children and two fur babies, visiting family. The night before I am to head out, 8/16, I receive directions, access codes, and instructions as to where to park. At this time, I notice that it states there are two adults, three kids, no pets. I message the host to inquire why it would say that if I had searched for properties that would accept pets AND wrote her the message the day of booking, which implied I’d have my pets.
From this moment her responses were very short and seemed all together rude, as she stated that it said that on the listings page. I kept trying to go back and verify this when I kept getting an error messages. Second, she gave me the wrong access code. I had to write her again to get the correct code. Thankfully she answered, otherwise we’d have been stuck out and rent elsewhere, costing more. And lastly, the property had active roaches! It appeared that the pet deposit was to cover the stay of her pests! I had a roach crawl in the bed with my children and one crawl on my face
