The space
Originally settled by the Mespachtes tribe of Lenape Native Americans, Ridgewood became farmland under British and Dutch settlers. The oldest Dutch Colonial stone house still stands in this neighborhood, located at 1820 Flushing Avenue, about a 30 minute walk north.

In recent years, Ridgewood has even been on the big screen. The St. Matthias Catholic Church was used for the baptismal scene in Martin Scorcese’s 2019 film, The Irishman. If you wish to visit, it is approximately a 6 minute walk East. And around the corner from Rolo's for burgers and homemade ice cream.

But that isn't the only good food that you'll find in the area! Ridgewood is a melting pot of people from all over the world! Feeling like chicken wings? While in Kathmandu has Dry Masala Wings along with other Nepalese dishes. Looking for some red velvet cake that has been described as a "minor religious experience?" Check out Rudy's pastry shop!
