Another Great Stay at Carolina Dunes

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed at the Carolina Dunes six or seven times now. It's in the perfect location, away from the noise and crowds of downtown (but you may want a car to get around). The view of the sunrise from the balcony is unmatched. We really enjoyed our stay in unit 506. The condo was clean and matched the photos. A few notes for improvement... None of the TV's are smart TVs, so no streaming. The TV in the living room should be updated to a smart TV IMO. The sofa in the living room is stylish--but not comfortable. The dryer barely works. We had to run it on a full cycle four times to get anything to dry. None of that drastically impacted our vacation. Management happily arranged for a late checkout since the unit wasn't rented on our check-out day. Would absolutely stay in this unit again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the proce of this condo it is most definitely worth it. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Ill start with the cons so we can end on a good note...The middle bedroom mattress is a spring mattress and was a bit uncomfortable. The unit itself could use some upgrades/maintenance on small things like paint touch ups, a few small fixes to cabinets, blinds, shower shelves, etc. Could use just a general upgrade to some things Small things. Overall the unit was clean, stocked, and the view is perfect from the balcony. The master bedroom has a wonderful view and the bed there is comfortable. The patio furniture is sturdy and comfortable, and the space in this unit is great for a family. The company accommodated an early and late check out which was much appreciated. We've ultimately stayed in more updated, nicer condos, but enjoyed our stay here and would stay again without hesitation.

Great getaway!

Property was in an excellent Location. Our unit was waterfront with a beautiful view of the ocean. Unit was clean and very well laid out. They were ample pots and utensils for cooking. Pool was very conveniently located with a short walk to it. We enjoyed our vacation very much and would like to go back at some point in time and stay in this lovely unit.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is great but I would look for a different unit at Carolina Dunes or a neighboring building. This one was not clean. However, they were very responsive when we asked them to replace a very mildewed shower curtain and to please clean the filthy air return just inside the door. I would never ask anyone to sleep on the very squeaky bunkbeds.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We used Luxury Rentals for our stay in the Carolina Dunes for a week. We have stayed in that vuilding many times but never through Luxury Rentals! Usually we use the front desk across the street which has left us furious and relocated 3 times!! Luxury Rentals was sooo much better No hassles, no front desk, keyless entry, no hassles with our room being unavailable. What a difference!!! I'd definitely recommend using Luxury instead of the Caravelle front desk!! Room was clean with beautiful view and nicely stocked and furnished. Nothing but compliments from us!

Overall good accommodations

Condo was good overall, and kitchen is really nice. Good location and overall pretty chill. Only real bummer was other units were smoking on their balconies and it seemed to always drift up when we hoped to hang out there.

Not Glam- but OK for average expectations…

There were definitely some updates needed on this condo. The middle bedroom bed…. The mattress was TERRIBLE you could feel the springs in your back…. Microwave door handle broken and the dryer took 3 cycles to dry a load of laundry. Needs some work but we made it work. Lots of beach stuff in the hall closet to use that was nice.

Sunrises!!!!

Reviewer Comments: Not to happy with the overall condition of the condo, needed a lot of cosmetic work, with a new dryer, called numerous times, they did send someone to fix it, it still took 3 hours to dry a small load, my fault I did not call again! We did get a new washer, they immediately did get us that. The bed clothes were very dirty, I did wash all bed clothing and did not report that, it does need appliances updated, toaster worked but all dented, furniture very uncomfortable! We were there for 3 months, so I guess I noticed more! They were working on the building so we never got to use the pool or sit around it. When all said and done I would go back in a heartbeat! With a new dryer! Exceptional sunrises and views of the ocean another big plus. If only the owner would pay some attention to this could be beautiful condo! The property management took care of all my complaints the ones I told them about within a few hours or a day or two!!

That location was accessible to everything you needed I do you think they should update a little bit especially the appliances and the televisions because if they have been smart TVs we could’ve streamed are movies that we like to watch but other than that it was a wonderful place to say

2022 Vacation

Check-in process was very easy, upon arrival everything looked very clean, the bunk beds were ok, squeaky but did the job for the kids. The other 2 beds, there were some stains on the mattress pads. After being there for a few days we noticed some “palmetto” bugs outside. I emailed management and was told they’re harmless and it’s the warm weather that draws them in. The next day we found one inside on the kitchen counter; it was our last night we caught and disposed of it.

Beautiful condo

Exactly like the pics. I was pleasantly surprised. The balcony view was amazing. Small set of condos located right in the middle of other bigger named condo/hotels. Condo was very well stocked w dishes and whatnot. We did have to buy trash bags and toilet paper and I wish those were supplied but there was a dollar store nearby. The only issue we had was the door latch got caught a few times and I sent a message and they replied promptly and sent maintenance out. This condo does not have any of the bells and whistles as others do (breakfast bar, lazy rivers, etc..) but it was very worth it for a relaxing quiet stay! Outdoor bathrooms by the pool was even very clean and convenient. Would def recommend.

We loved the location, it was around residential homes just to the south , so we walked in that direction daily on the beach .. Condo itself could use some TLC ,, especially in the bathrooms .,and a fresh coat of paint .. The view and sunrise was amazing .. The building was small only 42 units , so that was nice , not a huge high rise .. so amount of people at the pool was manageable .. Easy walk to the beach .. Great Mexican restaurant - Fiesta Mexicana close by , with another more upscale restaurant next door Flamingo Grill , great fish , a little more pricey .. Parking was easy at this property , it was located in front of the building on the ground level ... so you could see your car .. not across the street like some condo buildings... There was luggage racks to use which was helpful in unloading the car . 2 elevators .. so there was never much of a wait .

Wonderful view-beautiful sunrises! Older, smaller (that’s what I like!) complex with a small pool, but nice that it’s heated! Never waited for elevators! Living room furniture not the most comfy. Balcony is somewhat small, but has the best views! Shower head very low! Condo could use a thorough deep cleaning..grout needs scrubbed (I’m a clean freak!), edges/corners need cleaned! Fresh paint would be a big plus! Kitchen is nice-updated with plenty of dishes! Dryer took a couple times to dry the towels! Overall would stay here again! Thanks!

Nice Spacious Condo with Awesome View

We had a wonderful week here! Lots of space in bedrooms, kitchen, dining area, and living room. Nice flooring throughout. Beautiful countertops and everything we needed in the kitchen. Bonus beach chairs and beach toys, etc. in the closet just inside the door. Unit and overall property kept up nicely, but not without some minor wear and tear. Pool a little small, but understandable for the size of the building. Elevators worked great - very little wait time. We loved sitting on the ocean front balcony looking at and listening to the ocean. The beach is wonderful, and the northern-ish location is less busy than central Myrtle Beach, but still easy to get to everything. Some things we enjoyed: Mariner Pizza (essentially across the street - I walked), Chubby's Tacos (fabulous and totally worth the 15 minute drive away from the "strip"), Kirk's Ice Cream, Mr. Fish Restaurant (amazing sushi and seafood fettuccini), Green's Discount Beverages (the best liquor, wine, and beer store I've found in Myrtle Beach over the years), Mt. Atlanticus Mini Golf (two great 18 hole courses, excellent "all day" option, with Subway across the street for lunch).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of 10 (4 adults, 6 children ages 5-15) stayed at the Carolina Dunes property (suite 506) for a week long Myrtle Beach vacation. The condo was lovely! It was very clean with all furniture and amenities kept up to date and in good working order. We had a beautiful view of the pool, beach, and ocean from our balcony. We were so pleased with the location of this condo- as it was located in a more quiet section of the beach front, but still a very simple drive to all the local attractions. We would absolutely recommend this place to others!!!
