Portland, ME is a 50 minute car ride away. Here you'll find a vibrant city bursting with culture, art, live music, theatre, museums and a fantastic foodie scene.
And the ocean is calling!! You'll find white, sandy beaches and surfing at Reid State Park on Georgetown Island and miles of sand at Popham State Beach in Phippsburg, ME. We provide 4 beach chairs and beach towels for our guests.
A 30-minute-drive north to Augusta, ME or south to Bath, ME will provide an abundance of great restaurants and shopping. Both The Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, ME and The Maine State Museum in Augusta are worth visiting.
Further afield, enjoy a day on the ocean to see puffins or whales from tour boats available from Boothbay Harbor or take the ferry to Monhegan Island.
A drive along the mid-coast Maine coast is also very beautiful with lots of options for antiquing and enjoying Maine's world-famous fresh lobster at local lobster pounds such as Five Island Lobster Company in Georgetown.
