Privatsphäre und Ruhe finden Sie bei Ihrem Urlaub in diesem komfortablen Haus, das 1/4 Meile von der Hauptstraße entfernt ist. Das Haus ist 15 Minuten vom Blue Ridge Parkway und Little Switzerland, 20 Minuten von der Innenstadt von Spruce Pine oder Marion, 45 Minuten vom Black Mountain und eine Stunde von Asheville entfernt.

Master-Schlafzimmer hat ein Queen-Holzbett und es ist ein eigenes geräumiges Badezimmer. Das zweite Schlafzimmer bietet Platz für 3 Personen mit einem Twin-Log-Etagenbett und einem Twin-Single-Log-Bett. Wenn mehr Schlafplatz benötigt wird, hat das Wohnzimmer ein Futon und ein Schlafsofa. Es gibt einen Schlammraum mit Waschmaschine und Trockner. Die Küche hat alles, was man braucht außer Essen. Der Speisesaal bietet Platz für bis zu 8 Personen. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Tisch auf der Veranda und einen Picknicktisch draußen am Bach mit einem Holzkohlegrill. Baue ein Feuer in der Feuerstelle, mache S'mores und lausche der Musik der Secadas. This place was PERFECT. 100% recommend and will be back for sure. Just secluded enough to feel like we had our own space. Caught 2 bluegill and had a great time sitting around the campfire and grilling steaks. The hosts were amazing as well

A Glorious Weekend in Marion NC

Duck Pond Mountain Retreat is our new favorite getaway spot! The house truly comes "fully equipped," including a terrific kitchen, two comfortable bedrooms, and two spacious bathrooms. But the location is like something out of a dream. Sitting on the front porch with drinks, we loved to watch the light change over the pond and surrounding woods. Not an unwelcome sound was to be heard, just nature as God intended it. We will be back, and hopefully often!

Peaceful and well thought out

Great place to rest and relax. The creek is so peaceful to hear the moment you get out of your vehicle. The cabin is tastefully decorated and clean. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and effort into providing everything you might need. All we needed was food drinks and charcoal for the grill. My husband enjoyed fishing and my little dog enjoyed taking walks and exploring. There is plenty to do or do nothing at all, it’s equipped for both. Love this place and would definitely return again.

Excellent, relaxing property

As soon as you get out of your car you can hear the creeks little waterfalls next to the front porch. A large pond with a small dock was our view from the porch. The hummingbirds come and go on the bird feeders most of the day but especially in the mornings and dusk. The beds were comfortable and the place is fully equipped. All of it was beautiful. We will 100% go back someday.

This property has everything you could want or need besides food everything from games to fishing or watching the turtle. We went to emerald village to emerald mines and to Little Switzerland it was a wonderful stay. Will definitely stay again

Everything you need in a good location

We enjoyed our stay, the house had everything we needed, was clean and in a good location for hiking. The property has a cute pond as shown in the photos but sadly we missed the ducks others have mentioned. We had s'mores using the fire pit and were happy about all the outdoor seating and lights. Would stay again!

Short Trip to North Carolina Mountains

We were very happy with the accommodations! Beautiful private setting - easy check in - Wifi & TV. This listing was everything it said it would be & more (except for the fishing which wasn't great - there are fish in the pond they just were not cooperating LOL). Did not realize that it was actually located directly on 226A or would have brought dual sport to enjoy. So happy I could enjoy having my dog with us & she had a wonderful time too. Would recommend this cabin highly!!

Great place!

What a perfect location! We could hear the waterfall as we stepped out of the car and I knew I’d picked the perfect place. The beautiful blooming trees were a huge plus. We spent a lot of time at the pond watching fish swim by. Turkeys visited every morning! Even my teens loved the place.

Weekend Getaway

Great Weekend at the Duck Pond!

Gorgeous property! So relaxing, just sitting on the porch, listening to the stream go by. The duck pond was great, too--had tons of newts to watch from the pier. Close to so much--if you're not having a good time here, be it relaxing or on the move, you're doing it wrong! Will definitely be back, for sure.

Our family has been coming to the mountains a couple times a year to camp for many years. We purchased this property in July of 2015 because we wanted a place for our family to vacation with some acreage and privacy. We found this amazing property in Little Switzerland and fell in love with the serenity and privacy. We wanted a place with water and since it has a large pond with ducks and a stream that borders the length of the property it was perfect. My husband wanted a place where he could be active and enjoy the property and I wanted a place to relax. We also wanted a place that we could get to within 2 hours from our home in the Charlotte, NC area. Duck Pond fits all of these needs.

Duck Pond is centrally located between Little Switzerland, Spruce Pine, Marion & Old Fort. Also within 30-60 minutes we can be in Black Mountain, Asheville, Boone, Morganton, Burnsville & Mt Mitchell.

Little Switzerland NC is a colony high in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The elevations here, ranging from 3200 feet in the village to 4000 feet at the top of Grassy Mountain, offer incredible views of Mt. Mitchell to the west, Table Rock, Hawsksbill and Grandfather Mountain to the east, and the valleys of the South Toe, Turkey Cove and the bustling Catawba Valley. Little Switzerland was named because of its sweeping panoramas of deep valleys and distant ranges resembling those of the foothills of the Swiss Alps. Little Switzerland is located at exit 334 off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
