Dieses Haus bietet Blick auf das Wasser von den meisten Zimmern. Es verfügt über viel Platz im Freien mit 2 Terrassen, einem Whirlpool und nur wenige Schritte vom See Wequaquet entfernt! Es gibt eine Schwimmplattform für Ihren Genuss. Dieses Haus bietet auch kostenloses WLAN. Es gibt Central AC in der oberen Ebene, um dich zu kühlen. Während die untere Ebene keine zentrale AC hat, gibt es eine Fenster-AC-Einheit.

Betreten Sie die Eingangstür in einen offenen Wohn- / Essbereich mit malerischem Blick auf das Wasser. Machen Sie es sich mit einem guten Buch gemütlich oder schauen Sie sich Ihre Lieblingssendung auf dem Flachbildfernseher an. Der Wohnbereich hat eine Tür zum oberen Patio (mit Essbereich und Gasgrill). Aus dem Wohnbereich ist ein 1/2-Bad. Auf dieser Ebene befindet sich Badezimmer # 1, ein Vollbad mit Wanne / Dusche. Die aktualisierte Küche bietet eine Frühstücksbar für zusätzliche Sitzgelegenheiten. Aus der Küche ist Schlafzimmer 1 auf der Hauptebene mit einem Queen-Bett. Sie werden 2 Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten, nur auf ein paar Schritte von der Küche auf der obersten Ebene finden.

Es gibt Treppen von der vorderen Eingang, die zu einer komplett fertigen unteren Ebene Master-Suite mit einem Queen-Bett, eigenem Bad (Badezimmer # 3) mit einer Dusche, und Tür zum Ausstieg auf die untere Terrasse mit Blick auf den See führen. Von diesem Zimmer aus haben Sie leichten Zugang zum Whirlpool. Es gibt auch eine Waschküche mit Waschmaschine / Trockner in dieser Ebene. Die oberen 2 Ebenen verfügen über eine zentrale Luft, die untere Ebene bietet jedoch eine AC-Einheit, die Sie angenehm kühl hält.

Draußen gibt es 2 Terrassen (oben und unten) mit Essbereich für 6 Personen, Gasgrill, einen neuen Whirlpool, der professionell zwischen Gästen gehalten wird, und eine Feuerstelle. Unten am Wasser finden Sie eine Cabana mit einem Tisch und Stühlen. Es gibt auch 2 Kajaks und ein 2-Personen-Tretboot. Beachten Sie, dass diese Elemente auf "eigene Gefahr" verwendet werden sollen. Great house. Lots of stairs.

House was lovely. Location is lovely. Stairs to lake are many. My elderly mother had difficulty with them. Wish the shoreline was a little more clean. The patio was great for entertaining.

Great property for a few people

We had a really great time at this property. The ease of using the kayaks and canoe was great. The sunsets on the lake are beautiful (though it would be nice if some of the trees could be cleared to be able to see the lake from the house) and having the wonderful hot tub so close to the house was very convenient. We only had three people staying at the house which made the layout fine, but I can see how it would be a bit annoying if you had more than that given you have to go through the bedroom to get to the back patio/hot tub. My only real complaint would be the downstairs bathroom which was extremely small, shower was a bit uncomfortable and it was very loud after each flush. All in all it was a great property, especially because there weren’t that many of us. I would suggest staying here!

Should have been great, BUT...

We chose this property because we had dreams of daily swims in the lake. The biggest disappointment was that the "steps" down to the lake were eroded, uneven, treacherous and long (with a rope "banister"), such that some in our party could not navigate. Once down at the lake, it was great that there was a canoe and kayaks and pedal boat, but the swim access was over a series of tree roots (that could easily have been removed), and after initial sand it was shallow and muddy for quite a ways (until past the floating raft). The house itself was very nice, with a decent kitchen, big airy common space and a great selection of vacation reading, games and puzzles. The hot tub on the lower level was a great addition (and saved this stay from being a total disaster). HOWEVER, you really can't tell from the description, but the only access to the lower level is through the downstairs bedroom (down a flight of stairs with treads that were shorter than code) or from the outside front of the house, down unlighted and not great stairs. Bizarrely, there is no direct connection between the small upper deck to the large patio below, so having a meal outside on the large patio would require carrying everything up and down terrible stairs through a bedroom (or the outside around-the-house route). We ended up only using the patio for hot tubbing because of this. The dishwasher died on our second day and the owner decided to replace instead of repair, so no dishwasher for the rest of the time. Two benches at the dining room table had wobbly broken legs - we reported this on day 2, but nobody did anything to fix them. There was no central light in the dining room, which made doing puzzles at night a challenge. Even though nobody was scheduled to come the day we left, the management company insisted that we had to leave by 9 am. Perhaps most irritating with the management company is that the barbecue ran out of gas and WE were required to replace it (another $50) - I have NEVER had a rental where the gas was not included - the management company says they purchase two tanks at the beginning of the season, which usually last all season - this means that the renters at the end of the season are likely to be screwed. What is so sad, is that could have been a terrific property: if they connected the two levels directly (from deck to patio), if they put in a real stair or groomed path down to the lake, if they fixed the lake access. All very doable...

August 2020 visit

We very much enjoyed our stay. The lake is wonderful and the house is well equipped (kitchen ware, books/dvds, lake toys). The property is very green and views of the lake are hidden a bit by trees. The access point to the lake is also a bit overgrown but I imagine there are restrictions on cutting back the foliage (that would be a very nice improvement if possible). Even so the lake is easy enough to enter and there is a very nice sandy entrance point. Again we had a lovely time and would definitely stay again in the future.

Nice week in Cape Cod!

We had a really enjoyable week at Mermaid's Rest. The house was very clean and welcoming upon arrival and is in a great location on the Cape in close proximity to Hyannis, Osterville and local area beaches. Being right on Wequaquet Lake was fantastic with use of the house's kayaks , canoe and paddleboat and a swim float. Our only wish is that the lakefront area was more usable as it's overgrown and didn't have a dock.

Breath of Fresh Air....

After being quarantined for months, our family needed a change of scenery and some fresh air. This home being located on the lake but nearby to beaches and seafood takeout was the best of both worlds! We enjoyed fishing and many boats they provided. I was thankful that the life jackets were also provided. We spent many nights by the fire out back making smores and enjoying the hot tub. The house was clean and perfect sized for our family of 4 and Grandma who enjoyed the lower suite. The management group was also so organized and quick to respond. Would definitely rent from them again!

This house was great! We took the kayak out, and enjoyed nights in the hot tub. The house itself was clean and charming. The stairs/rail down to the lake was a little tough for a few people that came to visit. And that was the only complaint. Great property.

Beautiful home!

The house was clean and well-kept. We loved going fishing on the lake. It was nice to have the kayaks and canoe to use. We wish the access area to the lake was a little larger (maybe by removing a few of the bushes). We used the beach pass which was a nice added bonus. All the beds were comfortable. House is conveniently located near Hyannis. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside on the patio every morning and listening to all the birds. Relaxing in the hot tub was a pleasant way to end the day. The view of the sunset from the lower yard was amazing! Our family would love to rent again next year.

Very cozy and fun

We visited with our dog this September and we fell in love with the cape and the lake. House is perfectly located and the Craigville Beach was perfect for beach walks with our dog. The lake was beautiful and calm we enjoyed daily canoe rides at the end of our days --- will definitely return

Lovely Family Room

The home was just a short distance to our brother's home on the same lake which was our reason for renting. Unfortunately because of heavy tree overgrowth we couldn't even see the water. The path to the water was steep and uninviting. We didn't even attempt any water activities from the homesite. The homes third bedroom was downstairs but had such a strong mildew/musty odor no one could sleep down there. The only comfort in the home was a large living/dining area and a nice master bedroom. We also disliked the fact that we had to spend another $200+ on towels and bed linens and a port-a-crib. We won't be returning here.

Beautiful spot, comfortable house!

We loved the quiet cove on The larger Wequaquet Lake. The house was well equipped and comfortable for hanging out and relaxing. The beds were not comfortable and contary to what we were led to believe the twin beds could not be moved together to make a king.

A relaxing retreat. The house is stocked with everything you would need.

I wished we could of stayed for 2 weeks. Great location. It's quiet and private, yet within minutes you can pick up anything you may need. My husband and I are active people, we found some great back roads to cycle on and I found the neighborhood pleasant to run in. As far as the lake, it is really clean. I enjoyed my daily swims (so did my dogs) and really enjoyed taking the kayaks and canoe out. One of the things I truly loved was having the house high up so you could see and hear all the birds in the tree tops. It was like being in a treehouse with the lake below.

It is everything they say and more

My husband and I were looking for a new retreat and after looking at what felt like hundreds of properties, we settled on 21 Beechwood rd. My thoughts were, if the place is half as nice as the pictures looked, I'd be happy. Well, the place is twice as nice as.the pictures . We've already booked it for next year. If you enjoy the water, beauty, comfort and privacy, this place has it all.

Warm, Peaceful, and Welcoming House at the Lake!

The house was clean,very comfortable, beautifully appointed in cottage chic decor, and has wonderful views for watching sunsets. It had everything we could have hoped for--lots of amenities, a nice upper level patio (where we had coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings!) that gave us the feeling we were nestled in the tree canopy, private access to the lake and to peaceful kayaking, a hot tub, and very close proximity to a variety of restaurants, stores, beaches, and other activities. A few of our favorite nearby restaurants--Pain D'Avignon in Hyannis for delicious croissants, crispy prosciutto sandwiches, and onion soup gratinee; and the Dunbar Tea Room in Sandwich for English fare and outdoor dining. There are also several ocean beaches within a twenty minute drive from the house and a multitude of stores and antique shops nearby.
