Enter through the gated driveway and be greeted by a serene landscape, with a stream running through the front of the property and Canoe Brook flowing through the rear. Step into the spacious yard, where a natural spring-fed pond invites you to unwind and relax. Spend leisurely afternoons lounging by the pond, hosting cookouts in the yard, or gathering around the backyard fire pit for cozy evenings under the stars. For cooler Vermont nights, retreat indoors and cozy up next to the indoor wood stove, or simply relax on the covered front porch and bask in the peace and quiet of your surroundings. Please be mindful of our neighbors and the neighborhood, this is a peaceful quiet town and we want to ensure their peace and comfort remains the same.

Enjoy a 35 minute hike within walking distance to Putney Mountain Trail Head, Have some thrilling adventures on nearby ski slopes like Mount Snow (35min), Magic Mountain (42min), Stratton Mountain (46min), Okemo Mountain (1hr), Bromley Mountain (1hr) , or leisurely strolls through charming towns like Brattleboro, Newfane, and Dover. This cabin provides an ideal basecamp for all your Vermont explorations.
If you're planning to visit during the winter season, please note that Putney Mountain Road from the top down the west side into Newfane is closed for the season.

1. Take exit 4 toward Putney/US-5.
2. Follow W Hill Rd to Putney Mountain Rd.

Putney General Store: Grab a snack, a sandwich or a Vermont-made souvenir. The Putney General Store offers a vast assortment of specialty beverages and food items, including Vermont-brewed craft beer, maple syrup, and Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea.
The Putney Diner: Located on Main Street, the diner is well known for its all-day breakfast fare and comfort food. All made with farm fresh ingredients. Don't forget to try their Belgium waffle, their cinnamon Challah French Toast or their signature "Putney Muffin"
Putney Mountain Winery: Wine made with locally-grown fruit, and they are available in a wide variety of flavor profiles. Highlights from their product selection include the semi-dry “Apple Maple” wine, which consummately embodies the taste and spirit of Vermont; their sweet and tart “Rhubarb Blush” wine, made with locally-grown rhubarb and strawberries; and their “Simply Maple” Vermont maple and apple liqueur. Putney Mountain Winery is open 7 days a week throughout the year, and visitors can watch the wine being made through an observation window.
Harlow’s Sugar House: Located on Bellows Falls Road, this enduring Vermont family farm has an on-site orchard near the store where visitors can pick fruit during the summer and fall. Treat yourself to a seasonal Vermont delicacy such as Maple Creemees or cider donuts, and be sure to enjoy a glass of warm cider when the fall breeze begins to blow.
Hidden Springs Maple: is a family-owned maple farm that stands on a scenic 1000- acre plot. They specialize in organic, family-farmed Vermont maple syrup, and their farm store is open from Thursday through Sunday in the spring, summertime, and fall until Thanksgiving.
Green Mountain Orchards: Visit from mid July until Christmas to pick some blueberries or apples from their verdant and vast fields. It is one of the largest remaining commercial orchards in the entire state. Although Green Mountain Orchards is best known for their tasty fruit and remarkable scenery, their baked goods are amazing, as well. Pick up a seasonal pie, muffin, sticky bun, or cider donut, and take home some locally-made jam, butter, or other food products from their farm store. Additional seasonal activities besides blueberry and apple picking include tractor-drawn hay wagon rides, family-friendly animal visits with chickens and horses, and cider making.
