HighTide (https://www.quoddy.house/hightide) is a small waterfront retreat located on West Quoddy Head, overlooking South Lubec Bay and Campobello Island. It is the most eastern private property in the continental United States, and is immediately adjacent to West Quoddy State Park with its iconic lighthouse and extensive hiking trails. Nestled in the woods on the eastern side of the 26 acre 1840’s Quoddy House estate (https://www.quoddy.house), the decks at HighTide provide spectacular views out east on to the Bay of Fundy, or to the north towards the town of Lubec. Guests share access to the extensive private Quoddy House beach, via their own path to the beach, and have separate drive-in access at 863 South Lubec Road. The property is bordered on the north by the water (Lubec Channel) and on the east and south by West Quoddy Head State Park. HighTide provides guests with a unique opportunity to spend their time in Maine surrounded by nature, nestled in the coastal spruce forest, with beautiful views of the water and soaring eagles overhead, all literally a stone’s throw from the hiking paths and coastal vistas of West Quoddy Head State Park. Its no more than an easy 15 minute walk to the West Quoddy Lighthouse. Here, you can have a truly unique vacation!
HighTide accommodates a maximum of 4 persons. Please note that HighTide may not be suitable for all - access to the living area on the second floor is from the second story deck, with an interior spiral staircase leading to the sleeping quarters on the third floor. While the views of Campobello Island, South Lubec Bay, and the Bay of Fundy from the second and third floor decks are truly spectacular, young children should be closely supervised.
