This city is known for its annual festivals, particularly the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Stagecoach Festival, both of which are held at the nearby Empire Polo Club, our home is just 1.4 miles away, with the perfect location for festival goers.

The Indian Palms Country Club itself, where your property is located, is a gated community that offers a plethora of amenities. The community boasts a 27-hole golf course, multiple swimming pools, tennis and pickleball courts, and a fitness center, providing guests with plenty of activities right at their doorstep. The country club also includes a restaurant and bar, offering convenient dining options within the gated community.

The surrounding area of Indio is rich in culture and history, with numerous local attractions such as the Coachella Valley History Museum, the Indio Performing Arts Center, and the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino which offers concerts, dining, and gaming. For outdoor enthusiasts, the proximity to places like the Joshua Tree National Park, which is about an hour's drive away, offers opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, and exploring the stunning desert landscape.

In Indio, like many suburban and rural areas, the most common mode of transportation is by car. Given its spread-out nature and the presence of various attractions and amenities at some distance from each other, having a car is the most convenient way to navigate the area efficiently. Here’s a look at the various transportation options available:

Driving: With ample parking and well-maintained roads, driving is the easiest way to get around Indio and the surrounding Coachella Valley. For those renting our property, we offer parking in the driveway and one spot in the garage, making it convenient for guests traveling with vehicles.

Ridesharing: Services like Uber and Lyft are available in Indio, providing a flexible transportation option for those who do not wish to drive. This can be particularly handy during festival seasons when parking near major venues can be challenging.

Public Transportation: SunLine Transit Agency operates the public bus service in Indio and the greater Coachella Valley. It offers routes connecting Indio to other cities in the valley, including Palm Springs, Palm Desert, and Cathedral City. This service is useful for guests who might not have access to a car and need to visit neighboring towns.

Bicycling: For those interested in more eco-friendly transportation, biking can be a pleasant way to explore Indio, especially during the cooler months. Some areas have bike lanes, although the city is not extensively covered with bike-friendly infrastructure.

Walking: While Indio has some walkable areas, especially around specific communities like Indian Palms Country Club where our property is located, walking as a primary mode of transportation is less common due to the distances between major amenities and attractions. However, Jackson Street, just half a block away, offers a shopping center with a Walmart grocery, McDonald's, Starbucks, and Subway, providing convenient access to essential shopping and dining.

Additionally, the area boasts three casinos within a 15-20 minute drive and the Polo fields are conveniently located across the street off Monroe St. For a more extensive dining and shopping experience, guests can use Highway 111, which is lined with a variety of options.

• Please note, there is a guard gate to access the gated neighborhood where our home is located. We will need to collect all guests names and license plate numbers for easy access into and out of the community. Max of 1 car.
• Access to the pickleball/ tennis courts, and gym at the lifestyle center is managed through our HOA. If you wish to use it, we will send you a form to complete. Please note there is only allowed a maximum or 4 guests at a time for the gym and courts.
• To access the public pools, you can request a temporary pool pass from the Lifestyle Center and pay $10. Upon checking out or when done using the pool, please return your temporary pass and you will receive your $10 back.
• Trash is taken every Monday morning.
• Our HOA is responsible for maintaining the front of our yard, if staying mid week- they could be working on the front garden but will not bother you throughout your stay.

Pet friendly
• We are pet friendly at a fee of $100 per pet, per stay.
• Cleaning up after your pet is your responsibility. No pets are to be left unattended in the home. Barking dogs often result in neighbor complaints.
**Extra pet fees will be added though our guest portal after booking is confirmed (Plus Tax). Please let us know if you are traveling with a pet.

Short Term Rental Rules enforced by the city and HOA;
• Our home is located inside a gated community, we will need all guests names and vehicle license plates so we can add them to the guest list with security. This will make coming and going easy for everyone.
• 1 car max- no street parking
• Loud music, rambunctious parties, streets filled with cars parked in front of neighbors homes and driveways are prohibited by County Ordinance and will not be tolerated.
• Primary renter must be 25 years of age, sign a rental agreement and provide a copy of photo ID
• Quiet hours between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.
• All dogs are to be on leashes whenever they are in unenclosed areas. Barking dogs often result in neighbor complaints- No dogs allowed in pool.
• Exceeding the occupancy limit could result in expulsion from the rental, fines, or both.
• Short-term rentals may not be used for commercial purposes, such as filming, corporate retreats, conferences, or wedding receptions.
• Smoking is not allowed inside, this includes the use of cigarettes, vape and weed.
• Please turn off the AC when you go out.
