Villa Kali Thea is a modern, beautifully maintained family villa with stunning mountain and sea views. It is located in a fantastic rural location next to a national park and a number of superb beaches. It has been individually designed and built by one of the best architects on Naxos and provides modern, light and airy accommodation sleeping 4/5 + a cot. The villa is our family holiday home and therefore we have thoughtfully furnished and equipped it for our own needs as well as that of our guests to provide a real 'home from home'. There are 2 ground floor bedrooms, 1 has a king-sized bed and spacious en-suite shower room, the other has twin beds. Both have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, built-in wardrobes/drawers and patio doors opening onto a terrace with ample space to sit or sunbathe. The upstairs open plan kitchen/dining/living area is a light, airy space with stunning mountain and sea views and a large balcony terrace. There is also a lower covered terrace and garden.

Our Local Agent: The rental rates include the following services of our local agent, an English lady who has lived on Naxos for many years. For a relaxing start to your holiday she can meet you at the port or airport on your arrival. She can help transfer you directly to the villa or, if you are hiring a car, she can help with the transfer of your luggage and accompany you to the villa. She will then familiarise you with the property and the surrounding area and act as an emergency contact for the duration of your stay. We can provide good maps / directions for independent travellers. Our agent can also help with the pre-booking of a hire car.

Modern villa in a quiet neighbourhood

There was sufficient information from the owner and contact by e-mail in advance. They also took care of the pick-up and meeting point at the airport as a matter of course. They also managed the collection of our rental car, even though we had booked it ourselves. As a result, we were warmly welcomed at the airport in Naxos by the local contact person and while one person took care of the baggage, the other person was able to pick up the rental car and clarify everything with the car rental office. We were shown the villa and everything important was clarified. With a wealth of tips and information, the villa was then ours for the next few weeks. We have rarely experienced such an efficient start. The villa is located in a small area of holiday homes at the back and so far away from the road that you can't hear a thing. There are still a few houses nearby but at a good distance, behind the villa is a field and from the terrace on the upper floor you have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the sea. On a clear day, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the stars at night. And of course you can have breakfast in the sun in the morning - wonderful. The villa is modern and is kept in excellent condition. Everything is functional and very clean. The weekly cleaning also includes freshly made beds, towel change and a basic cleaning of the house - very pleasant. Full points for the hard-working cleaning lady for this too. We spent two wonderful weeks - Thank you!

Inselurlaub vom Feinsten

Zu dritt, ein paar Tage lang auch zu viert, genossen wir einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub in dem schönen Ferienhaus. Die Lage ist (mit Mietwagen) ideal, um die Insel zu erkunden und die tollen Strände zu nutzen. Zum Hausstrand kann man auch leicht in ein paar Minuten zu Fuß laufen. Das Lokal vorne an der Straße ist ausgezeichnet. In der kleinen Siedlung von Ferienhäusern liegt das Haus ganz am Rand und man ist völlig ungestört. Die Ausstattung des Hauses lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Schlafzimmer haben Klimaanlage und zusätzlich große Ventilatoren. Die obere Terasse nutzten wir jeden Abend zum Sternegucken. Unten gibt es einen schattigen Platz unter der Pergola, wo man am Nachmittag schön spielen kann. Die Fensterläden oben in der Wohnküche müssen vormittags geschlossen werden, dann wird es auch dort nicht zu heiß (notfalls gibt es noch einen Ventilator). Betreut wurden wir ab Flughafen, zwischendurch wurde das Haus einmal saubergemacht. Für Probleme hatten wir eine Handynummer, die wir gar nicht brauchten. Einziger Wermutstropfen war das fehlende WLan,was aber auch irgendwie ein Vorteil war, da man sich auf den realen Urlaub einrichten konnte. Eine schöne Auswahl an DVDs, Büchern und Brettspielen lässt keine Langeweile aufkommen. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und können das schöne Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

Modernes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus liegt im Südwesten kurz vor Ende der Asphaltstraße in einer kleineren, individuell gestalteten Ferienhaussiedlung. Das Haus befindet sich am hinteren Ende der Siedlung, so dass man einen freien Blick über die Südküste und die vorgelagerten Inseln sowie die Wiesen bis zu den Bergen im Hinterland hat. Der einzige Schönheitsfehler ist die nebenan gelegene, zum Glück nicht weit gediehene Bauruine, die von der Dachterrasse aus aber kaum im Blickfeld liegt - im Übrigen stellen in Folge der Krise unfertig gebliebene Häuser auf Naxos ein allgemeines Phänomen dar. Die Lage ist absolut ruhig. Trotzdem sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (kleiner Supermarkt) und Restaurants in relativer Nähe vorhanden. Ein Mietwagen ist dennoch dringend anzuraten. Der schöne lange und im Mai noch nahezu menschenleere Aliko-Strand mit vorgelagertem Dünengelände ist problemlos zu Fuß zu erreichen (ca. 300 m Entfernung). Die Raumaufteilung (Schlafzimmer und Bad unten, Wohnküche oben) ist zunächst ungewohnt, dürfte bei großer Hitze aber ihre Vorteile haben. Einrichtung und Ausstattung sind modern und gepflegt; das Haus war tadellos sauber. Wir wurden am Flughafen sehr freundlich von Barbara, die seit vielen Jahren auf der Insel lebt, empfangen und zum Haus begleitet; sie hat uns auch viele Tipps für den Urlaub gegeben. Ich kann das Haus nur uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Wonderful vacation

We love the wind and waves on Naxos! The lovely house has sea views and terraces for sun and shade. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is equipped to cook meals and the nearby restaurants serve delicious food. Several beaches are within walking distance: one through the dunes and there you are! You can walk along the water's edge in one direction to reach other beautiful spots. In the opposite direction, you walk between dunes and gentle rocky slopes to come to more pristine beaches and coves. Julie was our helpful and friendly contact person. We hope to return!

Beautiful Relaxing Stay

Came here for 8 days with our kids who 2 and 6 months. We loved the home, both the indoor and outdoor spaces. It was easy to cook at home and eat out. We didn’t venture far but were positively thrilled at our endless beach days and beautiful surroundings. It was the ideal recharge for a holiday and we would absolutely come back.

Peaceful, idyllic stay

This house was so peaceful and beautiful! Walking distance to a nearly empty beach with turquoise water and soft sand. The house itself is airy and light, and has so many areas for relaxing and enjoying the view of the mountains, the sea, and the local villas. Several awesome restaurants nearby. Both Julie and Jackie were so helpful and welcoming. We will certainly be back.

Vi var veldig fornøyde. Men et par tilakemeldinger for å gjøre det enda bedre. Internett/wi-fi var veldig ustabilt og vanskelig å bruke, så det kunne vært bedre. På kjøkken var det litt for lite glass, kopper og asjetter, vi var fire og for å slippe å vaske hele tiden burde det i hvert fall være dobbelt opp av dette.

Great time in Naxos

We are a family of four with two kids aged 13 and 10. We literally fell in love with the Villa. It is perfectly equipped, you feel like being at your home and It is located very close to Alyko beaches (sooo beautiful and protected from the wind when it is too strong) and to all other beautiful beaches of the south west of Naxos like the huge Plaka beach, the windy Mikri Vigla beach and others. It is also close by car (which is highly recommended in Naxos since it is so big) to the heart of Naxos with the villages of Halki, Apiranthos, Moni where we had great dinners in local tavernas and visited Venetian buildings, old Bizantine churches wondering among olive trees. A lovely cat named Sidney came around and became our pet for the whole stay. To sum up the Villa has it All and We Sincerely Hope to come back someday.

Perfection

We couldn’t have imagined any place better- seriously this home was perfect for our once-in-a-lifetime visit to Naxos. We live in a resort and wanted a quiet place to create memories as this was our honeymoon (family moon) after being postponed for 2 years due to COVID. We were also celebrating our daughter’s graduation and 21st birthday. We were greeted by Julie - who was fantastic throughout the trip and welcomed with a sweet note and bottle of champagne from the owners. The property is picturesque and close to beautiful beaches. Rent a car. I suggest getting clear directions or doing some pre-planning using Google maps. Because many signs are in Greek and look similar, we struggled a bit to find our way places. Our stay was during the last week of May. The beaches were pretty empty and the weather was perfect. The water was a bit chilly but refreshing. Bring goggles and binoculars to see the magnificent scenery above and below water. Make sure your sunblock is reef friendly and purchased before you arrive on the island (it’s pricey). The house has everything to cook and good restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this stay.

Situation superbe, au calme, vue extraordinaire

Nous connaissions l'endroit et y retournions avec plaisir. Les plages environnantes sont vastes, magnifiques et non encombrées. Les environs sont très calmes, tout en offrant suffisamment de petits commerces et de restaurants intéressants. La villa est très agréable et telle que décrite. Le mobilier de jardin a besoin d'une rénovation. Et il manque un parasol pour encore mieux profiter de la terrasse du 1er étage. Mais dans l'ensemble, c'est très très bien.

Perfectly located villa

We spent a fantastic week in this beautiful villa. It is perfectly located in a quiet area surrounded by similar houses and you can reach by an easy 5 min walk Alyko beach that is maybe the best and widest beach of Naxos. It's built on a very well kept garden with olives trees, oleanders and so. The villa is fully equipped with all you will need for a pleasant stay and everyday we enjoyed a refreshing wind and charming view from the top terrace. Jackie was very helpful providing us with informations and all we needed in this first (but surely not last ! ) stay in Naxos. Just I think that wifi would complete the offer of this lovely house.

Absolutely Loved It!

The house is beautiful, great views and lovely places to sit and eat inside and out. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, so we were able to cook what we liked whenever we needed to. The kids (2 boys, 8 & 4) were kept busy for 10 days with all the puzzles, DVDs and games provided, which was great and kept them off the iPad ! The owners and Julie (who is the local lady who meets you at the airport) couldn’t have been nicer, she even took us to see some puppies and the kids were allowed to visit them whenever they liked- so they were thrilled! The house is near the best beaches on Naxos and with a car you can get to countless (empty in October!) yellow sand beaches. We found a link on Google to a Telegraph article with reviews of the best restaurants in Naxos, we visited quite a few and the food was outstanding, we had great adventures trying to find them as well! Highly recommend- one of the best places we’ve been! :)

We are an English couple who loved travelling for many years including hopping around the Greek Islands. However we continually found that we kept wanting to return to beautiful Naxos year on year hence our decision when our family came along to build our own Villa.

We have been travelling to Naxos for many years and loved the beaches and friendliness of the Naxian people. As we started our own family we decided to buy a plot of land and build our own Villa. By doing so we have been able to develop a property that is just perfect for us and indeed for our guests. It provides the perfect family home in the beautiful surroundings of the stunning Greek islands!

We have built the property to take advantage of the fantastic views to the local beaches and across the Aegean towards Santorini, Ios, Paros and the other local Cycladic Islands. Whilst in a small development of Villas the property retains its privacy and is safe for families to enjoy the local countryside.
