Visit Cape Forty Six - Lovingly restored by the homeowners, Cape Forty Six embodies a unique intersection of traditional charm and contemporary design, offering an upgraded experience for your family vacation.
Conveniently located in the heart of Falmouth, Cape Forty Six is close to local beaches and downtown attractions such as restaurants, shopping, and more. Enjoy easy access to the Shining Sea Bikeway and Goodwill Park, just a short walk away via a private trail from the property.
The Space
The interior and landscape have been re-designed by the homeowners. Modern yet comfortable and a Cape Cod / New England Coast feel invites design lovers and those seeking an upgraded Cape Cod experience.
Enjoy your coffee in the tucked-away hydrangea-inspired dining area while you enjoy the flowers in the window. The backyard and patio provide a perfect place for hanging out with family and friends. There is a private trail from the backyard bringing guests to Goodwill Park - which provides swimming, a playground, hiking, casual walking, and more. This trail also brings you closer to the Shining Sea Bikepath (located very close by).
Many guests may choose to explore the rest of Falmouth and the Cape from Cape Forty Six’s central (yet quiet) location.
Main Street / Downtown Falmouth (and its fabulous restaurants, shopping, and events) is a close drive or a manageable walk away.
Classic Cape towns (and their beaches, shopping, dining, site seeing….) like Mashpee, Sandwich, Bourne, and more are very close for you to explore.
The breathtaking beaches and nature of Truro and Chatham (watch out for the Great Whites!), or the art/culture/food of Provincetown make excellent day trips.
The Marthas Vineyard ferries are close by and provide access to the island.
Our friendly hosts - ProHost will be happy to make suggestions for our guests.

//House Guidelines (“rules”)
-Please be kind to the home and the property. We understand you are on vacation, and we want you to relax and have a great time! However, we kindly ask that you treat the home as if it were your own family vacation home. The homeowners have invested valuable time, energy, and money to create a space they love. Additionally, other guests want to enjoy the space as it was intended. Please practice common cleanliness and courtesy with the items in and around the home. We greatly appreciate this!
-TRASH - On Monday mornings (or Sunday evenings) please bring trash and recycling out to the curb. Recycling comes every other Monday (please see the recycling calendar on the last page of this booklet). If your stay falls on a Monday when recycling is scheduled to be picked up, please bring the blue recycling bin out to the curb as well (when in doubt, bring both barrels out). Please return the empty receptacles to the right side of the garage (when facing the garage). (If an observed holiday falls on a Monday, trash may be delayed by 1 day. Pick-up will then be on Tuesday morning instead of Monday morning). It is important to bring the trash out each week, so the next guest has space for their trash.
-----------Holidays are New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day & Indigenous People’s Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
-----------Please dispose of food items in the receptacles. Food in the yard attracts pests. We appreciate your help with this.
-PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THE SEPTIC. The system is the last line of defense between waste and the local environment. Flushing ANYTHING other than toilet paper will jeopardize the system. Thank you!
-No candles or any other open flames permitted in the home. There are flashlights available if there is a power outage (see safety).
-No parties (small gatherings are fine).
-When enjoying the patio (outdoors), we prefer you to use plastic cups. Broken glass can be tough to spot, and we don’t want anyone to get a cut. There is plastic glassware available in the kitchen.
-Be considerate of neighbors who may need to work in the morning and have young children.
-If utilizing the A/C or heat in the home, please make sure the windows/doors are closed. This will minimize energy waste. (Nightly rates are directly tied to our costs - including utilities. If these costs rise, our nightly rates will likely rise, also).
-Promptly alert ProHost® of any concerns/issues that arise during your stay. We prefer to address any matters as quickly as possible to make your stay wonderful.
-If something is damaged or stained (we get it, stuff happens!) please let ProHost® know ASAP. The sooner we can assess the issue, the better chance we have of minimizing the extent of the damage.
-Please use paper towels to clean spills. The bath and beach towels should not be used to clean small spills, for kids’ clean-up, or for makeup removal.
-Some days may require that we (or the homeowner/vendor) come on-site to mow the lawn or tend to maintenance of the property. If we require access to the house (inside), we will do our very best to give you a heads-up prior to arrival. This would be an unusual situation.
-Please read the check-out instructions (section 14) in this booklet to review some items that are very helpful to us before your departure. These small requests help us keep the home nice and provide a better experience for the next guests. We thank you for your help!
//Safety Information (please read carefully)
-Be VERY careful around the solo stove and grill. Do not leave fires unattended. Once the fire has died down, completely extinguish fires by covering the solo stove using the solo stove lid. Do not put the black canvas solo stove cover over the fire until the solo stove has cooled down to a safe temperature (takes several hours to cool down). Please keep kids away from fires and other potential hazards.
-There is a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink in the event of an emergency.
-Watch your head when walking up and down the stairs. There is a portion of the ceiling at the bottom if the stairs that could bump a tall guest’s head.
-Please ensure all doors are locked if you venture off the property or when you go to sleep. When leaving the home, all doors should be locked. We also suggest locking your car doors at night if you have any valuables inside (low risk but a good practice).
-Be mindful of POISON IVY / POISON OAK and thorns (mainly located at the edges of the yard and through the path). We've done our best to minimize these plants, but they are stubborn. Please wear shoes on the path to Goodwill Park. A case of poison ivy is not fun! "LEAVES OF THREE, LET IT BE!"
-The grill may light with the ignite push button. However, if that is not working, please carefully light using the extended lighter provided in the kitchen drawer. Please ensure the grill and gas tank valves are turned off when cooking is complete. When the grill
