Newly built in 2024. Private Cottage tucked into the woods in Taylors, SC. Very convenient to downtown Greenville, Greer and Travelers Rest ( within a 15 minute drive ). This Cottage is located on a private property with a 2nd home located on the property. Relax on the front porch bed swings or the screen porch which features a fireplace. You will most likely see deer and turkey passing by each day. Take a relaxing bath in the soaking tub or enjoy a walk in shower in the luxurious bathroom. Motorized roller shades in all the windows for privacy. All appliances in kitchen. One bedroom/ king bed, one bath. TV’s in Living room, bedroom and covered screen porch. No pets / No smoking / No hunting!

Felt like Home Sweet Home

We could not of been happier with our stay in this cottage. It was exactly as described, only better! We felt welcomed with our first step in side the door, so beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, almost better than ours at home. We were able to cook all meals, amazing appliances, only ate out once. The bedroom was perfect, with ceiling fan, shades that kept the light out when needed and an extremely comfy bed. The bathroom and tub is over the top, and both fit my 6'6" husband comfortably. We spent a lot of time on the daybed swings, relaxing in the screened in porch and decided to stay in for a day to just soak up the peacefulness and tranquility of the cottage and area. Stacey and her husband are a such a delight and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. If you pass on this one, you are making a mistake!! We can't wait to go back. We would definitely give it 100 out of 10 if we could!

Beautiful, open and airy cottage in the woods

Where to begin...this is such a beautiful cottage. The hosts have gone above and beyond in making my stay enjoyable. The whole cottage is huge compared to what I thought a cottage would be like. It is very clean, bright and airy. The front room is a relaxing space where you can cozy up around the fire with a good book or watch your favorite movie on the t.v. The bathroom with it's walk-in shower is one of my favorites..it's like a mini-spa. There was more than enough room in the walk-in closet which was huge for me. I slept like a baby on the king size bed and to wake up to all the sunlight coming thru the windows was such a peaceful feeling. I made great use of the fully equipped kitchen and the washer and dryer. My favorite spot though in the evening was on the front porch enjoying one of the farmhouse bed swings listening to the tree frogs and the crickets. One morning I was able to watch 3 wild turkeys walk across the driveway into the woods. I spent most of the days out and about the area as most places I went to were 30-45 minutes away but still close enough to enjoy Taylors. For anyone that enjoys hiking Paris Mountain is close by with easy trails. I ventured out to Table Rock State Park and took on their trails. I already am looking to see when I can come back as this will be a yearly thing for me!!! Stacey and Kenny, it was a pleasure to meet you both!!! You've outdone yourselves with this place!

Relaxing stay in a beautiful cottage

There isn't much more to say that hasn't been noted in previous reviews. The cottage is beautiful. The location fit our needs perfectly. The host was very responsive and accommodating. It is exactly as pictured. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Peaceful, Private and Perfect

Hickory Cottage exceeded all of our expectations. It had all of the comforts of home. It was peaceful, private and perfect. Definitely recommend staying here in you are visiting the Greenville area!

Phenomenal and Romantic place

our hosts went above and beyond to not only meet our expectations, but they accommodated us quickly when we had to book a stay last minute. the property is luxurious, and it’s nestled into gorgeous and quiet woodland. the home felt private and we enjoyed all its amenities. the hosts provided everything you could think to need while on vacation which is such a small thing but so appreciated. we look forward to going back.

Great choice.

Never having been to the Greenville area, we weren't sure where to stay. This was the perfect choice. Great location and setting. The place was clean, well-appointed, and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others.

Absolutely Beautiful !!

After looking for a cabin in the woods, this is more than you can imagine. Away from it all but close to everything. Deer and Turkey stroll by. Beautiful “cabin” with everything you could want. Hostess is unbelievable, get taste in decor and comfort. We would highly recommend this “cabin”. If we go near that area again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there !!

Do not hesitate to book GREAT place

I can not begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at the "Hickory Cottage". It was beautifully decorated with all the essential needs. Brand new might I add. Bed was extremely comfortable. Great safe neighborhood. Out of town and in the woods but close to everything. Check in & out was easy. Don't miss a nap outside on the swings and enjoy time on the screened in deck. The best VRBO we have stayed in so far, and we have stayed in several. Owner responds in a timely fashion to any questions.
