Turtle Watch ist ein kürzlich renoviertes, schönes, geräumiges und sehr komfortables 5-Schlafzimmer-Strandhaus mit spektakulären Sonnenaufgängen und Mondaufgängen über dem Pier mit uneingeschränktem Blick auf das Meer. Im Sommer kommen Meeresschildkröten am Folly Beach an, um Hunderte von Jahren direkt in Ihrem Garten zu nisten. Es ist eine erstaunliche Ort ruhig zu erleben.

Turtle Watch verfügt über einen TV in jedem Schlafzimmer, HBO in Living Room & Master, alle Bettwäsche, Badetücher, zusätzliche Strandtücher, eine Reihe von Küchenutensilien und -geräten. Mit einer umgestalteten Küche ist sie rund um einen Gasherd der Insel für das einfache Kochen mit mehreren Töpfen geöffnet und verfügt über alle neuen Geräte. Ein umgestaltetes Hauptschlafzimmer und ein Bad sowie ein brandneues, im 1. Stock zweistöckiges Veranda (März 2018).

Turtle Watch hat im Oktober 2018 seine letzte Renovierungsphase mit allen neuen hochwirksamen Türen und Fenstern, neuen Abstellgleisen und einem neuen Metalldach durchlaufen. Es ist vollständig gegen die harten Abnutzungserscheinungen am Strand geschützt.

Ein privater IPE-Spaziergang im März 2016 (schön an den Füßen) verbindet das Beach House mit dem Strand. Es gibt eine abgeschirmte Veranda im 2. Stock und zwei Sonnendecks, eine im 3. Stock für Privatsphäre und eine entlang des Board Walk zwischen dem Haus und dem Strand.

Historic Charleston ist in einem leicht zu 15 Minuten Fahrzeit erreichbar. Downtown Charleston verfügt über eine hervorragende Auswahl an Gerichten, Harbor Restaurants, Roof Top Restaurants, und natürlich verursachende Essen am Tisch. Tipp: Fisch ist frisch und auf jeden Fall ein Muss zu probieren. Der Markt in der Innenstadt ist sicher, jeden eifrigen Käufer zu gefallen. Charleston verfügt über mehrere historische Plantations und Gärten in der Nähe. Auch die schönen Städte von Beaufort, South Carolina und Savannah, GA sind nur eine Stunde mit dem Auto und bietet die schönsten Low Country-Einstellungen.

Turtle Watch vermietet im Allgemeinen von Samstag bis Samstag, wird jedoch von November bis Februar für mindestens 4 Nächte gemietet.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at Turtle Watch. Having the beach right in the back yard was my favorite part! Having all the beach accessories available was fabulous and the rinse off shower made clean up super easy! I wish we could live here year round! Thank you for sharing!!!

October is a great month to be at Folly Beach

The property is very well maintained and stocked with all needed supplies. Everything in the home is labeled so as to help the renters find anything they need. i.e., fans, light switches, TV. etc. Great beach access with chairs, toys for tots, umbrellas.

Amazing home that made us feel so welcome and safe during a tropical storm!

We had an amazing time at Turtle Watch! The house was so stocked with amenities and made us feel right at home right when we got there! The beach was fabulous and we had four really amazing beach days. When the storm rolled in we really felt safe in the house and the owner reached out a couple of times to check in on us. Our favorite was the screened in porch and we spent hours and hours as a family just relaxing out there. House was very clean as well! Such a great place.

Relax and rewind

Get into the Folly low key vibe with this beauty of a rental. Easy access and perfect location make this a wonderfully peaceful family vacation. We chose to cook some evenings in the well-appointed kitchen and other times to walk/bike to a neat local hang for lunch or happy hr. Folly still has the local flavor of long ago! We loved everything about the week. This home made it so easy. We especially loved the sunrises on the balcony watching the surfers in the waves. Fun!

Beautiful Location

Well, our trip didn’t go quite as planned due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Debby. That being said, the two days that we were there were perfect. Melanie had plenty of accessories to have an enjoyable time on the beach as well as games to play while indoors. Communication with her was top notch especially with the storm approaching. I would highly recommend this property for a relaxing beach vacation.

Clean and Cozy!

Had a wonderful family reunion at this beach house! I’ve stayed at several beach over the years at Folly and this one surpasses all of them. This house checks all of the boxes. CLEAN (inside and out), great screen porch, no hot water issues, perfect kitchen with everything you need, comfortable mattresses. and all of those extras for beach in case you forget something. Also it was just nice to be close to Center St but not too close. Loved it! Thank you Melanie and housekeepers for hospitality! 😊

Folly Family Fun

This is a wonderful location for 3 generation family fun. We stayed at Turtle Watch in 2022 and happy to return. The house is especially clean, and well equipped. There is a kayak, ping pong table, outside games, beach chairs, sand castle building buckets, coolers, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. The beach is great for swimming, amateur surfing, boogie boarding, sand castles, sitting. The screened in porch across the back with hammock is where we hung out when not on the beach. The owner is responsive, available, and communicative. Turtle Watch is a great choice for your vacation.

AWESOME VACATION

Our stay at Turtle Watch exceeded our hopes and expectations. The home is located on the beach with a beautiful screened back porch that we enjoyed daily. The walkway to the beach is well maintained and made it easy to access the beach. Outdoor shower right on the walkway for easy rinse off before going into the home. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy a few nights of cooking in. We had fun sitting in the open den area playing games at night as a family. Owner checked on us the day after we arrived. I would highly recommend this location and home for a family vacation.

Wonderful Week at Turtle Watch

My family and I (six adults) spent a truly wonderful week at Turtle Watch to celebrate my parents' 70th birthdays this year. The house is stunning - beautifully renovated and spotlessly clean. Melanie has thought of absolutely every detail you could want or need and provided helpful information throughout the house. The location is perfect - right on the beach and a proximity to Folly that is both close enough to walk (five minutes) while far enough to enjoy the quiet. Thank you Melanie for a wonderful week!

Turtle watch has everything you were looking for. Location, cleanliness, beauty, communication with the owner and more. The well stocked kitchen lacks nothing. The layout encourages group gatherings, but there is plenty of space for privacy. My favorite spot is the screened in porch with its inviting hammock. You’re sure to find yours. What a wonderful home and stay! Perfect location- just far enough away from the main area to be calm, but very short beach walk to restaurants, shops, etc. Very clean home. Melanie was highly communicative and left many notes to help guests understand her place. Great layout for 2 families. So glad we stayed here!

Folly fantastic!

What a fabulous place this is. We’ve been renting summer vacation houses for over 10 years and Turtle Watch is now top of our list. The kitchen was very well stocked for all our cooking needs and the few times we didn’t cook, we walked to the local restaurants. We loved the screened in back porch where we sat and watched the waves and yes, a few dolphin swam by. The kids especially liked the closeness of our “backyard beach”. The overall decor of the house reflected a very welcoming feeling that allows you to relax and enjoy time with family. Definitely will visit again.

Vacation at Turtle Watch

We stayed at Turtle Watch for a week with immediate and extended family. The house is beautifully kept, landscaping gorgeous and inviting, clean and very well stocked. We had small issue not being able to open freezer and the owner Melanie was there in 15 minutes to correct the problem. No further dilemmas all week. Air conditioning was great and very comfortable. Plenty of supplies with specific instructions…which I appreciate! We are all on the same page regarding expectations. The views from her home spectacular. She was only a call away if we needed. We would love to return in the future….she made the whole process very simple. Thank you Melanie for sharing your beautiful home with our family!

Awesome Experience

Turtle Watch is an awesome house with all your needs anticipated. The views are gorgeous, the beach is steps away, the town is within walking distance and Charleston is close by. The beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is user friendly. We enjoyed our vacation emencely.

The owner, Melanie, has put great consideration into her beach house and she wants all her guests to enjoy every amenity she and her family have when they stay at Turtle Watch all winter. Melanie believes it is privilege to have guests select Turtle Watch with all the choices out there, and she believes the only effort put forth for guests should be to make memories!

Melanie is a business entrepreneur, owning two businesses. Folly Beach is very close to Melanie's passion for turtles. Melanie is an avid turtle preservationist and advocate and has been since a young age, (thanks to her father). When she saw turtle nests on Folly Beach right behind this lovely house she "rented", yes this very house, she knew Folly Beach was the place was the house for us! With her life savings she purchased the house, renamed it Turtle Watch in 2015 and then spent 6yrs renovating.

The beaches on this side of the island were wider and with little erosion, the crowds were not overwhelming and the town with it's lovely residents have a wonderful laid back personality.

Melanie saw the great potential this beach house had and with a little TLC and a design mind she got to work renovating and redesigning the entire house. The house has a spacious open floor plan on the first floor which is great for gathering. It's perfect size for 6 adults (3 couples) with a few children. The bedrooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, yes proper mattress.

The location of Turtle Watch is really such a perk. The beach is wider and just the right amount of crowd. The town is just close enough for a quick walk or bike ride in and out, but far enough so the Nightlife noise is not intrusive. The view is so magnificent, sometimes you just find yourself in a daze rocking or swinging in the hammock on the porch for Hours!
