The front verandah is perfect for gathering for breakfast, games, wine and cheese, and soaking in the beautiful views! Bel Amour has been featured in local home tours and home show specials and noted as one of the most notable homes in Alabama!
You will be awed in every room! The Primary wing is luxury, with a massive bedroom with 12' ceilings, plenty of light, a gas fireplace, and satin bedding. The marble bathroom is oversized, with plenty of his-and-her space, a jetted tub, and a marble shower. A beverage station, including a mini fridge and private reading room with access to the rear yard, makes this an oasis for you within this beautiful estate home.
The kitchen features a luxurious copper sink, six burners with a griddle gas stove, double convection ovens, and a Bosch dishwasher! A second dishwasher and microwave, warming oven, and wine cooler are all featured in the catering kitchen. The family and breakfast rooms are all open to the kitchen with views of the mountain and the pool.
Six fireplaces are featured. Three bedrooms are on the main level, and the cozy lower-level bedroom is a backup storm shelter. Two bedrooms are on the second floor, which also hosts the library. The third floor is fabulous, with an entire living space including three queen beds, a family TV space, a bathroom, and a coffee and snack bar. All bedrooms, except the nursery, offer mini-fridges and coffee bars for convenience.
The rear patio has a gas grill, seating around a wood-burning fireplace, and plenty of outside dining space. The saltwater pool is a dream. There are plenty of lounge chairs, seating, and dining options around the pool, all centered around a covered outdoor dining and meal space. The pool house has a full bath, changing area, and kitchen! The pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Week and then closed for the fall and winter. Plenty of parking on the side of the home! No parking in the front is allowed. The garage is closed for use.
A personal chef is available, along with home-cooked meals to be left in the refrigerator. Daily housekeeping services are available—all for additional fees. The nearest airport is Chattanooga. Birmingham and Huntsville airports are an hour and a half away, and Atlanta airport is two hours away.
A 3-night minimum is required, and no pets are allowed.
No more than 16 adults and 2 children under 12 are allowed. The nursery has a crib, and an infant or toddler in a crib is permitted. Once notified, Up to 3 children under two in a port-a-crib will be allowed. No more than 16 adults and 2 children 15 and under and 1 age 2 (in the crib) are permitted.
The base nightly rate includes up to 6 guests. After the first 6 guests, a $25 charge per person per night will be added after your reservation. A $59 damage waiver fee is also added. Pool fee only applies from June 1-Sept. 10 during pool season. The pool is not open due to the cool weather mid Sept-May 31. The pool may be opened for Memorial Day if the weather is warm.
If you choose to use the guest house, you will pay an additional fee of $275. It has a bathroom, kitchenette, and pool towels.

Guest Access:
Guest has ample parking in the large driveway by the garage. Guests cannot access the garage but can easily park 6 cars with another 6 cars in the drive. No RV's or boats. Guests can not park in the front circle. The reservation
The owners' primary suite, personal study, and garage are not shown in the photos. Guests do not have access to these areas.
Other Things to Note:
The reservation is only for those staying at home. This is not a party or event home. It is strictly for those staying for a vacation or a holiday.
Weddings and vow renewals for 30 or fewer guests will be considered. An extra fee will be charged. You'll need to ask before booking a wedding.
Some firewood will be left for the outdoor fireplace; often, extra wood can be found around the property or can be purchased 5 min. away at Bruces Foodland.
Children must be supervised in the pool.
No Pets
No Smoking, Vaping, or Drugs anywhere on the estate, inside or out.
Do not ask for a discount. Military discounts are considered with an ID of the reservation holder only.
The pool house is not included in the rental. If requested, an additional $45 per night and an additional $50 cleaning fee will be charged.
The pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. It is closed all other months.
Interaction with Guests:
Bel Amour house manager will check-in, in person, within 2 hours of your check-in, unless it is after 7pm. In this case, she will check in with you at 9 am the next morning. During the growing season, she will be on the property for an hour or less each day outside to water all of the container plants on the front and rear porch, also to fill up the fountain.
Guests will have the owner's contact info.
A guest guide is sent in advance and also left in the home to answer all home operational questions and provide information on things to do in the area.
This is a private residence available when the owners travel.
