Cape Meares is a peaceful community located at the northern end of the Three Capes Loop, situated between the expansive Cape Meares Beach and the wooded slopes of Cape Meares Mountain. This area is a popular destination for coastal recreation, offering access to numerous forested trails, as well as Tillamook and Netarts Bays, the freshwater Cape Meares Lake, and the Pacific Ocean.

This area offers both forest and beach walking opportunities, featuring sand dunes and a freshwater lake ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding, or fishing. There are also ten miles of bike trails available. A 45-minute hike takes you to the Cape Meares Lighthouse. During the lowest seasonal tides, you can explore beach caves and tide pools. Additionally, Tillamook Bay provides nearby options for fishing and crabbing.
