Beautiful country setting property. Within 10 minutes of Greencastle, 45 minutes to Terre Haute or Indianapolis. Enjoy the outdoor setting with lots of wildlife around. Wooded acreage to take long walks. Enough outdoor space to have a family gathering for a cook out or enjoy the great scenery. Full service kitchen and outdoor grill. Sleeps 4 comfortably but can accommodate 2 in the living room as it is spacious with a sectional and queen size air mattress available. Greencastle has the small town charm but a lot of fun things to do locally. Covered bridges, state parks, festivals are all within reach. Enjoy the relaxing simple life. Hot tub is always a plus

Great Outdoor Trails

The house met our needs for having beds, bathrooms and a kitchen. But the walking trail in the back made our stay.

Great place to stay for Mom's weekend

Country Hideaway was a great place to stay for my son's fraternity annual Mom's weekend. It was an easy 7 minutes out of town and had all the amenities needed to sleep well, stay clean and cook meals.

Our Stay

Our stay was a quick booking due to water damage at our actual home. The owner was so very accommodating and kind to us. We are beyond thankful for her letting us come on short notice and even come early. The place was quiet and in a beautiful setting. Definitely recommend!

Great getaway for a couple

The house is very nice and off the road so it feels very secluded. We got a nice amount of snow which made it even better. The house is well stocked with everything you could need - towels, sheets, blankets, pots and pans, etc. They even had a table top ice maker which was great! The hot tub didn't feel very clean which was kind of gross - lots of debris in the bottom and floating. Plus the room is VERY musty and moldy smelly. That was really the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating. Oh and the fireplace doesn't work - just a heads up! Had a nice time overall! Thanks!

Paradise in Putnam County, Indiana

The stay from check in thru check out was perfect! The house and location was beautiful and breathtaking! I along with my workers wanted to stay forever!! The host Ursula was wonderful!

Hottest Tub Around

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay! The property was exactly what we had been looking for, for our holiday celebration. The host was accommodating for our stay and made everything very easy. If I were to nitpick I’ll give a heads up to future guests that the hot water in both showers is very limited, like maybe 5 minutes worth of warm water. There also aren’t any blinds. The location is pretty secluded but I felt like I should mention it. Even with that we would still rebook! It was a great time!

Great weekend girls trip!

We love how spacious this cottage is. We love the hot tub but wish the room was more aired out and the hot tub was bigger to hold all 6 of us girls. I absolutely recommend this place but be sure to open the windows the hot tub is in so it doesn’t smell so much like mildew…ps the rest of the house did not smell like the sunroom where the hot tub resides! FYI I searched for hot tubs when finding a place

Beautiful property

Lovely home with lots of space to spread out- inside and out. Our dog appreciated the 12 acres of woods to romp through. I appreciated the hot tub after a long drive. I hope to stay again!

Get Away

The property was great, peaceful, and relaxing. The hot tub was a nice extra. The walking trails in the woods were amazing and exactly what I wanted and needed. When we come back to thw area we will definitely be bookong a stay again!!

Great Fall weekend

Older house but looks like they are updating. only one small TV and hottub was o.k However, clean and spacious, cannot beat the view. Private trails in woods. Very nice appliances in kitchen and laundry room. New electronic sleeper lazyboy type chair and Couch sectional. Beautiful wrap around porch, very nice grill. Really enjoyed our stay.

A little slice of heaven

Loved it so much we booked another week! Great location- close to DePauw yet in a quiet country setting. Fully equipped kitchen with all amenities you need to cook gourmet meals- including a grill! Comfy beds, spacious bathrooms, quiet porch swings for reading or sipping wine. Trails to explore in the nearby woods. Best host ever, super responsive and helpful! Highly recommend.

Excellent stay, excellent host

The property was amazing, the host cleans the hot tub after every guest which I was worried about. We are already talking about going back next year. Ursula was accommodating and even left us a welcome gift!

Very cute house.

Very nice house, super cute. Definitely enjoyed the hot tub. Only bad thing about the whole house was the black mold in the washer and one spot on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms.. Other than those two issues, it was a very nice house and highly recommend

Wonderful place to recuperate

Our daughter had a serious accident and we needed a place near DePauw to care for her. This quiet haven was ideal. House is handicapped accessible and close to all we needed. The owner was so helpful and responsive when we needed something, she even ran out and bought potholders when we realized the house was missing them! This has been a great little home away from home.

DePauw Hotel alternative

We were very happy with our stay at this vrbo located about an 8 min drive from the DePauw campus. I’d recommend it as an easy and spacious trade for a hotel. The host was very responsive as well.
